Greater than one weekI use this one on MTB rides. I do jumps and drops. This pack feels secured. I use it with two 21oz bottles. I keep my phone in there, as well as multitool, CO2 cartridge and nozzle, and few other things. Still have plenty of room left. I just dont want to overload it and feel it pull me down. But at this time I have everything I wanted to have with me on a ride, and it feels great. I can almost forget Im wearing it. replacing bottle into the holder takes some getting used to. They are just tight. But that means they are secure. Its a great hip pack!

> 3 dayThis is the second pack I had sent that was defective. I exchanged the first one, this one I am getting a refund and will try another model hiking pack. This was very disappointing, I have other Osprey products and they are top quality, this one was not ! The water bottle holder is suppose to snap into place, the snaps are broke and this was the same defect on the exchange pack, and the same side. Do not order this product. I will write Osprey myself , they are know for good customer service, and warranty all their products. This is the first time I have had a product of theirs be defective, and my gear takes a beating mountain biking.

> 3 dayAwesome MTB Lumbar Pack! Super comfy and happy not to have a sweaty backpack on grueling summer rides. Very stable. Please look at the bottle-holder system before you freak out that your bottles will fall out... there are a set of two male and two female snaps that when put together create a very solid bottle support system (plastic flap curls inwards when snapped, it is flat/flush when not engaged and some people miss it all together), plus a bungee cord to keep it from flying out when you hit that drop or jump! Lost a star though because after my 4th ride, the bungee cord snapped, currently working with Osprey to fix/repair it through warranty. Still feel this is a great lumbar pack though!

19-11-2024At this asking price, it better be a great waist pack, but in my opinion, it is. You can store a surprising amount of stuff in this waist pack. The strap is wide and can fit just about anyone, with enough support that I barely feel it even if Im using it when jogging or on a day hike. I mainly include some dense food, a couple of bottles of water in the holsters included, spare socks, a basic multitool and first aid pouch, and the ever present cell-phone (turned off!). I could store a few maps, some geocache stuff, and a rolled up light jacket too if I wanted. This pack looks beautiful in red, with the typical light but strong material Osprey usually uses. Construction and design quality are also clear in the airscape and vented pads around where the bottles go, and also in the very easy to use zippers. I tend to rotate this out of place until I need it, and I even switch left to right every now and then, and in all positions, sweat doesnt really stay around that long. Its better if you primarily carry this on your lumbar, but I mix it up. A few tips: if youre packing lots of stuff on your hips, you want to minimize weight. Its OK to put a couple things in your cargo pockets, and the rest in this pack. Larger, light things like jackets are no problem on a hip. Too much water will be felt on those hips, but just two bottles is no problem. Also, make the unit snug and stable with a firm pull of the straps. If its not moving around, you are feeling less weight. Weight changing direction a lot, relative to the body, is actually more weight.

Greater than one weekIve been looking for an everyday waist pack to carry two water bottles (for my kids) and some essentials when packing my cargo shorts just isnt enough. I remember long ago when I had a great Ultimate Direction waist pack that was super functional and comfortable and have been looking a long time for something similar. I almost purchased the Osprey Talon or Tempest as they most resembled my old Ultimate Direction pack. However, Im glad I waited and discovered the Savu. The Savu is sleek and functional for what I want. The water bottle holder areas can flatten down when not in use to make it more sleek and attractive. The main pocket is spacious enough to hold 2 ipad minis and a bit more. I suppose the Talon/Tempest has more padding which may make it better for hiking or trail running, but I love my Savu. It even looks a lot better than other fanny packs when slung diagonally over your torso.

18-11-2024This is a GREAT bag. Perfect size. I can fit my wallet, sunglasses, keys, and makeup (as well as some extra snacks and treats for my dog. All the pockets are easily accessible and the zippers never accidentally come open. It definitely can be worn in many different ways. I’ll even sling it over my shoulder and wear it like a crossbody bag if I’m bendin a lot and don’t want it around my waist. But when I do wear it around my waist, I’ll even attach my dogs leash to it and it’s just an awesome hands free option. I’m using this as my everyday bag.

> 3 dayGreat bag for a snack, water, & a few other items. I used it for hiking and shark tooth hunting at the beach. Paired with a couple 21oz Camelbak Podium bottles and it all worked.
