This is the second one I bought and I love it.

This automatic feeder is working out great! I did a lot of research into feeders before I bought this one and it doesn’t seem to have some of the design flaws other models have. First of all, there is no way for the cat to knock it over or learn how to open the lid of the food compartment. The lid locks and you have to press a button on the side while pulling on the lid to open it. The button could not be used by an animal because it’s concave and so you need fingers to open it. The locking mechanism is strong enough that if the whole unit fell over (which is unlikely since it’s center of gravity is low and it’s pretty heavy) the lid would not open. The second design plus is that there is absolutely no way a cat could stick their paw up the food slot and turn the rotor to get more food. The slot is just too narrow. Other design features I really like are the battery back up, the four mealtime settings, and the wide variety of portion sizes. There are some things to note, however. Setting the mealtimes on the digital display is not intuitive. You will need to keep the guide so that you can make changes in the future because most settings changes require pushing multiple buttons simultaneously. The food portions system is not based on any specific measurement system (such as grams, ounces, cups, etc.) so you will have to refer to the guide provided for how much each arbitrary portion size actually is. As for the voice recorder, I haven’t used it yet. The sound of the food being dispensed has been enough to get my cat’s attention from the get-go. And as for the price point, I think it’s very reasonable for what you’re getting. The product seems well-made and sturdy and has features similar to more expensive models without some of their design flaws. Overall, I would definitely recommend this feeder to people who are looking for an automatic feeder for their pet. My cat loves it, and I love that she can get fed while I’m at work or in the middle of the night to keep her from waking me up because she’s hungry.

We needed a way to spread our fat cats feedings in smaller portions throughout the day but with a busy working family that was hard. This made programming small feedings throughout the day easy . It has a recording where you can call your pet for food but its really low and Im not sure the cat can hear it at all Better to not even use it.

Good product but the clock is slow

So much better than our previous feeder mainly due to the fact that you just have to open the lid to fill it.

I don’t think I bought this here; can’t remember. But I want to get the word out. After having spent about $500 trying different feeding systems to try to keep the weight down on my fat cat, this one was the best. I have a lean cat as well and trying to keep their food separate and them at eating time was stressful for all of us. This product took all that away. I feed the fat cat small amounts 4 times a day. She hasn’t lost weight but she hasn’t gained any weight. The vet says that’s the best we can hope for as she may just have big cat genes. I truly love this product! That said I knocked off two stars. One star was knocked off due to the lid. I have a dog food storage bin that has a foam membrane that seals tight so bugs don’t get in. It was $11. You’d for $75 they could add that to the feeder. I knocked off another star out of frustration. Upon turning in for the night, I found ants bellying up to the cat food bar. It was 11:30 and it took me until after midnight to sort through the food to rid it of ants. Now I’ve got to go buy weather stripping to seal the lid. I hope the manufacturer reads this and makes improvements.

Great timer and selection of portion size for each meal timer set. The only let down is the speaker quality which is a fail in. I love the fact that it came with 2 portion blades. 1 for smaller sized bites and the other for bigger sized bites. Really great buy.

Now that the cat gets an early morning meal, she leaves us alone! It was easy to assemble and pretty easy to program.
