This product works just as intended. Im very happy that I can still use my older trackball with my newer computer which doesnt have any serial ports, only USB ports

If a passive adaptor did not work for you, this active converter should. I have a HP15 notebook (laptop bought in 2016) & wanted to connect an external keyboard that was over 10 years old. I understand some newer keyboards/computers may work with the passive adaptor, but the active converter has a chip in it.

I bought two (2) of these adapters. The adapter appears to be well made. It wasnt what I thought I ordered for the purpose I had in mind at the moment I ordered; however, there was an old PS/2 IBM real keyboard that has been sitting around waiting to be used. It was to replace the AWFUL plastic piece-of-junk, less than full size, USB keyboard that came with the latest computer purchase. I also had an optical mouse with a PS/2 connector that replaced the horrid roller ball mouse that also came with the latest computer purchase. So the oops order became the order that allowed me use quality equipment from the olden days. Im happy, I gave five (5) stars, and now I can really type on the full-size keyboard and use a mouse that does not skip. BTW, the adapter works!

The first one just did not work. It was quickly replaced and Ive been using it to connect my very old and well loved serial keyboard to my new USB only computer for about two years now.

If you have an old keyboard or mouse, this should be perfect

Just upgraded my wifes computer, and the keyboard she likes is an old one and has a PS/2 connector. The computer I built for her did not have any PS/2 jacks. I order this PS/2 to USB adapter and simply plugged everything in, turned on the PC, and everything worked great. Ive had no problems with this product. FYI, the motherboard was an Asus Z87 Pro running Windows 10.

Just upgraded to a new Dell desktop with Windows 10. No PS2 ports anymore. Loved my old Microsoft Natural ergonomic keyboard. Already had an adapter (wired thru) that I got with one other new keyboard, but is was one designed for dual interface. This Perixx PS2 adapter converts the serial PS2 to USB. I plugged in the old keyboard to the Perixx and into a USB port and it works. Did not even see a notice of new device found. I am not a speed typist, and have not noticed any errors yet (other then my fat fingers). I did try a few multi key commands (alt, control, delete and alt, tab) and those commands were recognized.

Well built and does just what I want it to do, save an old but great keyboard.

These PS2 / USB adapters are hit or miss, no matter which brand you buy. This Perixx model is no exception - it worked on a Lenovo mini PC but had issues on an older Gigabyte motherboard with a single PS2 port that accepts either mouse OR keyboard. (I had a PS2-only KVM set up on a test bench). I am not putting fault completely with the adapter, but let this be a buyer beware warning.

Makes my ps/2 keyboard work. A simple pin adapter was not working. This is what you need to make sure that the old keyboards work on usb port
