Works exactly as expected, and my ancient Northgate keyboard, already adapted for a PS/2 connection, lives again, now thru USB. I’m a happy camper.

These PS2 / USB adapters are hit or miss, no matter which brand you buy. This Perixx model is no exception - it worked on a Lenovo mini PC but had issues on an older Gigabyte motherboard with a single PS2 port that accepts either mouse OR keyboard. (I had a PS2-only KVM set up on a test bench). I am not putting fault completely with the adapter, but let this be a buyer beware warning.

I have a MAME cabinet I built many years ago. I used an i-pac 2 card to translate the joysticks and buttons to keypresses. I recently got a raspberry pie 4 and now use it for the heart of the cabinet. This little gadget allowed me to do a plug-and-play replacement with my old pc that had ps2 keyboard input. The old ipac output is ps2 and (of course) the pie inputs are all usb. This thing worked perfectly!

I have an older KVM switch which attaches to either servers and it had the old style connections. This item allowed me to hook up to the newer servers without any problems. It was win win situation.

Purchased about a month ago.I spent quite a bit of time searching for a PS/USB adapter for my old H.P. keyboard to no avail ( if you dont count those priced at over fifty dollars or more).I literally came across this one as the last one on the Amazon website. I didnt expect much for $6.99, but desperate, I purchased it. What a great buy! Plugged it into my Dell computer, was recognized within 10 seconds. Plugged in the keyboard to the adapter and everything works as advertised.

I bought the wrong item,

Holding a single key down (like W for gaming) results in the stream of key signals being terminated eventually. Typing or programming this works great. Tested with Lexmark IBM Model M.

For ergonomic reasons, needed to use two older keyboards that had P/S2 connectors, on laptops that had only USB inputs. These adapters worked perfectly, following the simple instructions of attaching the adapters first (to let the operating system load the proper drivers for them), then attaching the keyboards to the adapters.

I had purchased this adapter in hopes of being able to use my foot pedal for my transcription work but no uch luck. They were affordable and prongs did match general description. And at $7.55 I couldnt pass up the potential to be able to increase my work speed and accuracy increase exponentially. Which would also be extremely beneficial in regards to my income bracket.
