> 3 dayI bought two (2) of these adapters. The adapter appears to be well made. It wasnt what I thought I ordered for the purpose I had in mind at the moment I ordered; however, there was an old PS/2 IBM real keyboard that has been sitting around waiting to be used. It was to replace the AWFUL plastic piece-of-junk, less than full size, USB keyboard that came with the latest computer purchase. I also had an optical mouse with a PS/2 connector that replaced the horrid roller ball mouse that also came with the latest computer purchase. So the oops order became the order that allowed me use quality equipment from the olden days. Im happy, I gave five (5) stars, and now I can really type on the full-size keyboard and use a mouse that does not skip. BTW, the adapter works!

> 3 dayI have an old IBM style keyboard with loud keys from the early 90s that I successfully hooked up to a new laptop using this cable. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised that it worked with no issues. I havent dug up an old PS/2 mouse yet, but Ill have to try that at some point.

Greater than one weekMy wife loves her old keyboard. Half the letters have been warn off the keys its so old. It came with a Dell PC, 2 or 3 computers ago. Finally they stopped putting in PS2 ports. I get her a couple of new usb keyboards, but she hated them all. So I thought Id try this gizmo to bring the sexy back, or at least her old keyboard. I was concerned when looking because some units lacked the built in controller thing and reviews stated they would sometimes and then not work other times. Unacceptable for a non-techy wife to troubleshoot. So I took a chance on this item and its work great for several months now. And not one complaint from the wife - priceless! Seriously tho shes happy and the keyboard is working great with the new PC that has only usb ports.

Greater than one weekI have an OLD keyboard, which I love, and this connects the ps2 to usb. It works. That’s 90%. No negative surprises. And it looks like it will last. What more could I want?!

> 3 dayI have an absolutely ANCIENT KeyTronic Mainframe keyboard that still uses a DIN connector. I didnt want to solder up my own DIN-to-USB controller, so I went with adapter hell with a DIN-to-PS2 and this PS2-to-USB. Normally Im skeptical about this type of setup, but this controller works flawlessly with Mac, Windows, and most Linux distributions. Its literally plug-n-play, no fuss. The build quality is great and doesnt feel fragile at all. Definitely recommend if you need to use a PS/2 keyboard or mouse!

Greater than one weekThese PS2 / USB adapters are hit or miss, no matter which brand you buy. This Perixx model is no exception - it worked on a Lenovo mini PC but had issues on an older Gigabyte motherboard with a single PS2 port that accepts either mouse OR keyboard. (I had a PS2-only KVM set up on a test bench). I am not putting fault completely with the adapter, but let this be a buyer beware warning.

> 3 dayPurchased about a month ago.I spent quite a bit of time searching for a PS/USB adapter for my old H.P. keyboard to no avail ( if you dont count those priced at over fifty dollars or more).I literally came across this one as the last one on the Amazon website. I didnt expect much for $6.99, but desperate, I purchased it. What a great buy! Plugged it into my Dell computer, was recognized within 10 seconds. Plugged in the keyboard to the adapter and everything works as advertised.

> 3 dayBought it because my mom (88 years old) needed a new computer. Shes still pretty good with a keyboard but had trouble with new flatter keyboards (laptop and USB) and wanted her old mech. keyboard that had a PS/2 end. Her old computer had been updated to windows 10 as does the new one. Im NOT a tech guy! Bought this one because I was told it was active and you can buy passive ones much cheaper but they dont always work. Plugged adapter into computer first and let it recognize it, then keyboard into adapter, worked smoothly no complaints from her.

> 3 dayAllows use of PS2 keyboard and mouse on newer computers that only have USB ports and no PS2 ports. Unfortunately you cannot use the keyboard to wake pc from sleep if you do not want the mouse to also wake pc from sleep. I have a Microsoft optical mouse and even though I configure the mouse not to wake the computer and the keyboard to wake the computer, the computer will not stay in sleep mode. If I configure both the keyboard and mouse not to wake the computer it will remain in sleep mode but I have to press the power button to wake the computer.

> 3 dayMom finally decided she was willing to try the awesome and spend split hand ergonomic keyboard I gave her for Christmas more than a few years ago. (I live mine!) Since then, computers have advanced to the era of the USB -- but the brand new keyboard sports a PS/2 connection. Argh! After calling all of the local stores, I finally ordered this gem of an adapter. It works perfectly and that brand new keyboard was up and running in seconds. Quality USB to PS/2 adapters arent that easy to find. Consider ordering two of these if you work with outdated equipment.
