These lights work perfectly with Apple Homekit via the Hue hub, and the dimming feature allows it to go from bright warm light to very soft warm light. The LEDs are in the shape of an incandescent filament coil, and give off a soft, yellow, warm glow. If you want white light, dont buy these. I like the incandescent-like warm light they provide. Looks very vintage in the fixture we have. These are not bulbs to be hidden inside a lampshade, they are meant to be seen.

Bulbs worked as expected at first and then suddenly stopped being recognize by Hue Hub. Tried reconnecting manually to no avail. These are the only bulbs that have this problem.

I had no idea hue had Edison bulbs! These are just like the real thing and just as easy to install like the rest of hue products. I have a ton of hue products and they are installed all over the house. When I heard they had Edison bulbs I jumped. They look and give off the same light as the real thing. I will definitely be buying more of them.

We have a set of ceramic a accent lamps that have always loved, but due to the large abstract pattern, most regular bulbs were too bright and looked terrible. The lamps were hard to look at with other bulbs as they were too harsh, unless you used a very small bulb (which looked terrible) - and I was always annoyed with the rotary light switch the lamps had. I realized I needed a stylish bulb that I could easily adjust for different lighting situations, and bypass the annoying rotary switch as well. Smart bulbs were the obvious choice, but most are not very stylish and are more function over form. I did a search, and found these...and they were absolutely perfect. They give off a nice warm yellow glow (not the bright white LED nightmare some bulbs give you). We do already have a hue bridge, so its convenient that it can be added and used in scenes (I created one for the evening to adjust the brightness to a lower level and really give the bulb a nice ambiance) and with automations, I set them to come on and turn off at certain times. You can use the manual controls to set or adjust it, but it also is voice controllable with Alexa, which is great if you want to easily and quickly ask it to change to a lower or higher lighting level/percentage. This took a bit of time to work correctly via voice control for some reason, but after a day or so it fell into line and worked just like our other hue bulbs with our voice commands...so be aware the voice command feature through alexa to lower/brighten the bulb may not work right away- even if it is set up correctly through the Alexa app itself. You can also set up similar actions/automations directly through the Alexa app, but the hue app interfaces just fine in my opinion. These bulbs are a good size, being tall enough to look nice in the lamps, and are fairly stylish and easy to use and control. Definitely worth the purchase! The photos I attached show how the bulbs look really nice in the lamps, and are super easy to use. Now, if only they would launch Alexa enabled AA/AAA batteries (for string lights) and enabled button cell batteries (for candles), my living room would REALLY look amazing. Please, someone, invent tlhe dang smart batteries already!!

I love Philips Hue products but these didn’t make the cut. I bought them for my clear glass pendant lights over my island. They worked perfectly but the light they gave was too warm/yellow for the location. These, in my opinion, are better suited for accent lighting, not task lighting. They weren’t bright enough or “white” enough for the lighting most people want or need above a kitchen island.

There are an array of smart bulbs to choose from. Even narrowing it down to a smart EDISON bulb--tons to weed through. The quality, size, look and functionality of this bulb are top notch. My fixture used to have an old-school Edison bulb in it. This new bulb is far prettier. The curlicue filament is beautifully complimented by a magnified, heavy glass section at the bottom of the bulb (second picture). Full brightness is very bright (lights up the whole room) and can be adjusted as low as nightlight (full 0 to 100% scale) Highly recommended. Worth the money. QUALITY look. Great functionality. Alexa-compatible.

The warmth does make them a little less bright, but the light up the room beautifully. They work perfectly. And they have the cool factor we wanted. Perfect with the metal wall lights I purchased. They look much darker in the pictures.
