> 3 dayI have a lamp in my office that I historically had an Edison bulb in and the fixture was connected to a Wemo plug. I’ve the years I’ve gotten rid of my Wemo plugs and put in Hue bulbs to avoid having so many devices on my wireless network. However, I was not able to do it with this fixture until this bulb was released. Once I got it, I screwed it into the fixture and it failed to turn on. I tried other fixtures and it worked fine. Upon reading some reviews I found many people had an issue where the bulb could not screw in enough to connect the the base to provide power, so I gave up. However, a few weeks later I looked at the fixture and found a piece of metal in the base that I was able to bend up. Once I did that, I was able to screw in the bulb and it worked! Overall a great addition to the Hue family.

09-06-2025They work fine. They integrate seamlessly into my Hue network and function as described. That said, they are INCREDIBLY dim to the point of almost being pointless. I keep the lights in my house crazy clearly no one reads in this house dim, and these are too dim for that purpose. They respond well to the hue app and alexa, but they barely exist.

> 3 dayThe warmth does make them a little less bright, but the light up the room beautifully. They work perfectly. And they have the cool factor we wanted. Perfect with the metal wall lights I purchased. They look much darker in the pictures.

> 3 daySet up was as easy as screwing in a bulb. Adding Hue lights are always also one of the easiest. My issue is the color of the bulb itself. Its way more yellow than Id like. Even when trying to change that, it still puts off a sickly yellow color. Im using this in a pendant outlet over the kitchen counter/bar area and it throws off the scene as it bleeds into the living room. I love the way the bulb looks; it looks just like the filament bulb I replaced, and its smart! But that color....

> 3 dayI have read that some people dont think this bulb is bright enough. Well, filament bulbs were never this bright, so what are you looking for? The color is warm white and gives a warm glow. If I wanted this bulb to be modern, it would be nice to have it change color temperatures. I use this in my pantry with a motion sensor to look retro in our old farmhouse. I also have the other shapes in a cloche and one in a block of wood with a socket in it on my desk ( World Market). I dim them down to the lowest setting and it gives off a calm, warm glow with the filament visible. I recommend this bulb to anyone that isnt looking for it to be a primary source of light, but more of an ambient accent.

> 3 dayI have 5 of these bulbs in a chandelier fixture in my dining room. They worked great for about 2 years, but then they started to randomly turn on. I would turn off all the lights, but one by one, each bulb would turn back on until all 5 were on again. Only way to keep them off now is the light-switch, which defeats the purpose of smart bulbs. After 3 years, the bulbs started to flicker -- mostly for a while when turned on but also just random flickers here and there. For the price and brand name of these bulbs, I had expected a product at Hues regular standard. I like the vintage look but not the vintage performance.
