Love these and the fact they are Philips Hue.

They look great, in the picture they are at 75% brightness

I have read that some people dont think this bulb is bright enough. Well, filament bulbs were never this bright, so what are you looking for? The color is warm white and gives a warm glow. If I wanted this bulb to be modern, it would be nice to have it change color temperatures. I use this in my pantry with a motion sensor to look retro in our old farmhouse. I also have the other shapes in a cloche and one in a block of wood with a socket in it on my desk ( World Market). I dim them down to the lowest setting and it gives off a calm, warm glow with the filament visible. I recommend this bulb to anyone that isnt looking for it to be a primary source of light, but more of an ambient accent.

Only want colors. Wanted bright cool. Also Many cheaper alternatives exist like Wiz just as easy to install and maintain.

These lights look fantastic, when turned off. But when they’re turned on, they emit a disturbing color of orange. It’s like Halloween in my bathroom now. All the wall paint in the room looks weird under the intense orange light. It’s just awful. Let me say, that I’ve had real Edison bulbs in the past and they emit a soft warm light. I’ve seen LED Edison bulbs on display at Lowe’s and Home Depot and they all have a warm glow. This is what I expected when I bought these bulbs. After I installed them, the color was so shocking that I thought, surely there are color settings in the app so the light can be adjusted, but nope. The color of these bulbs is not soft white. It would best be described as medium orange. The orange is as intense as a Phillips Hue color changing bulbs. My wife and I tried to live with these for a week and we just could not get used to them. So, we’re sending all 8 bulbs back and instead of smart bulbs, we’re going to put in smart light switches and go with regular dumb Edison bulbs. This is a shame. Every bulb in our home is a Phillips Hue. But, these bulbs just have an unacceptable color. I don’t know what Phillips was thinking when they approved the color of the light these bulbs produce. They really could not have picked a worse color.

First of all, Hue is my favorite brand of smart bulb and Ive tried them all. Dont let this review stop you from buying one. Ive have at least 50 Hue bulbs and Ive only had problems with 2 total including this one, and Ive had most of my bulbs for 3+ years. So they are awesome, usually. This was a 2 bulb set. The other bulb is working fine, the problematic one has a manufacturing defect that makes it lose contact with the light socket. I thought the socket was the problem, but it works fine with the other bulb. Unfortunately I dont have the option to return so Ill have to buy another one

I own two normal Hue light bulbs and wanted these for my exposed lights, and these are definitely orange compared to normal white lights. The lights themselves are great though.

I think they went a bit too warm with this light. I am interested in a cooler color version of this that isnt so orange. As other reviews mentioned, this is on the far side of warm-colored. This doesnt work for me in a bedroom/study room. 3000k would be reasonable compromise between cool and warm color that I think would please most customers. Why no 3000k version?

They are perfect for our new kitchen. I love that they look vintage but have modern functionality.
