> 3 dayThese are great when they work but, these smart bulbs seem particularly sensitive to power fluctuations. If the amount of power going to the bulb drops too much, which can happen if too many devices are drawing power from the same circuit, it will cause an error and the bulb will start flashing. If the lights in your house tend to dim when you turn on the washing machine for example, these bulbs might give a problem

> 3 dayIt looks perfect. Works fine with the Philips Hue app and HomeKit. I’ve had no issues and would totally recommend for anyone looking for that classic, Edison look. Without the, you know, heat and burning out all the time.

> 3 dayVery easy to use with the Philips Hue Bluetooth app. Very warm light that looks great and follows the Edison bulb look that I was looking for. So happy to have this bulb!

> 3 dayI have been a longtime fan of Philips Hue ever since I could purchase them! I have around 10 Hue bulbs in my apartment that are integrated with my Google Home family. I liked the look of these bulbs for the kitchen (also because my partner liked the look of them) and was overjoyed when I discovered these! These are fantastic bulbs that do exactly as described. Great quality as well. Was surprised to find out these specifically have a glass/glass-composite shell compared to the plastic on the others, but this was a welcome surprise. Lighting looks really cool with the candle-light effect as well. I only have two complaints. 1) The bulbs struggle to output a true blue-white tone. Anytime I change it in the app to this, it instantly reverts back to true white. Not a huge disappointment considering I dont use blue-white often, but wouldve been nice to have. 2) There is no multicolor variant. I know these are supposed to resemble Edison bulbs, but it wouldve been neat (and convenient) to have the full RGB spectrum to choose for the bulbs. I consider Philips Hue to be a trusted and consistent brand. I love their products and support team. They have a lot of variety with products which is something I absolutely respect. I just wish it wasnt all so expensive. Fantastic product and extremely satisfied!

04-06-2025If you buy 4 pack open them all and make sure they are actually hue bulbs!!!!! I bought the 4 pack of these and glad i opened both boxes. When opening the first box I noticed immediately that these were NOT Phillips hue bulbs just regular cheap led Edison bulbs. Have no idea how this happened because boxes were sealed. Opened the second box and they were the right ones. Now I have to return all 4 for a refund. Such a waste of time!

> 3 dayThey are very orange. And though the app gives a massive array of hues, the reality is they just got from brighter orange to dimmer orange. I like warm lights but this feels odd if its the main light source in the room. Additionally, I use alexa and for a couple weeks both bulbs worked on it ok but now one wont connect to alexa no matter what I do. They are a bit pricey for being hard to manage and poor lighting.

> 3 dayThe color temperature is very warm and non adjustable, but if you are going for the vintage/Edison type of look and want a smart bulb I feel these are a good choice. They look fantastic on night light mode where you can really see the “filament” spiral of LEDs, and work as well as our other Hue lights with Alexa (which is to say, great).

> 3 dayI have a lamp in my office that I historically had an Edison bulb in and the fixture was connected to a Wemo plug. I’ve the years I’ve gotten rid of my Wemo plugs and put in Hue bulbs to avoid having so many devices on my wireless network. However, I was not able to do it with this fixture until this bulb was released. Once I got it, I screwed it into the fixture and it failed to turn on. I tried other fixtures and it worked fine. Upon reading some reviews I found many people had an issue where the bulb could not screw in enough to connect the the base to provide power, so I gave up. However, a few weeks later I looked at the fixture and found a piece of metal in the base that I was able to bend up. Once I did that, I was able to screw in the bulb and it worked! Overall a great addition to the Hue family.

> 3 dayAfter reading some of the other reviews, I was a little worried this bulb wouldnt be bright enough for our front porch. But it was perfect! In fact, I normally keep it around 75% and its still twice as bright as the bulb it replaced. I now have my porch lighting dialed in perfectly thanks to this Philips Hue bulb!
