> 3 dayTheyre better than Id expected they would be, and I was expecting a lot from them. Pricey, to be sure, but so worth it (also, how much sense does it make that four bulbs and the hub is $139, but an individual color+white bulb is $47? The kit is on sale, mind you, but still... bad math). Setup was trivial. As part of the kit, the bulbs are pre-paired to the hub, so as soon as your hub is online youre ready to start playing. Literally not a hitch here, I had all four bulbs and the bridge up and running in about 10 minutes. As far as the lights, theyre phenomenal. Good brightness, an awesome range of whites, and the colors are very vibrant. Allows my girlfriend and I to find a balance of white that doesnt make me feel like I live in a Walmart (cold white), and doesnt make her feel like she lives in a bowl of pee (warm white). The responsiveness is great, but would be an issue with all the sync your music to your lights apps for sure - not quite snappy enough to make that a thing, yet. Combining this with a tap switch, Alexa, and the Philips Hue app makes this the killer smart light setup. Alexa, make my living room magenta. Alexa, dim the kitchen by 13%. And it just works. Tap the physical switch, everything jumps into action. The complaints about the hue app seem to be unfounded in my opinion - the stuff people claim to need 3rd party apps for all seem to have been rolled into the official app (with the exception of having one bulb in multiple groups), including adding switches into your notification center on iPhone. All in all, five stars. The only lingering questions are which lights to replace with Hue next, and do you trust your neighborhood enough that youll put them in your porch lights at $47 a pop?

Greater than one weekHooked on home automation, thanks to Phillips Hue. All I needed was ANOTHER addiction, thanks guys! Seriously though, a great product. Setup was fairly simple for native functionality. These lights also tie in seamlessly to your voice assistant of choice (I currently use a Google Home Mini), using the app or IFTTT. Setting up advanced functionality for custom voice control is a bit tedious at times, but well worth the effort. There is only one small irk, but not enough of one to dock a star. The Phillips Hue App is very good, but often does not refresh on the page with all of the switches. For instance, if I voice command some of the lights in my home, the page with all of the switches does not reflect this. Mostly, I must close the app, clear it from RAM on my phone then reopen it to receive correct switch positions. 90% of the time I use voice commands, so as I stated earlier it is not a huge deal. Going with 5 stars on these. They are expensive for color, not so much for white. The software is pretty well-thought-out. The voice commands, once set up correctly, function great. No buyers remorse here!

> 3 dayThe light bulbs work great with Alexa. Hue app is horrible needs a lot of improvements. There’s other apps you can use as a replacement for hue app

> 3 dayMany products nowadays are so expensive when compared to their predecessors. Now and then I find out it is very worth it! I was looking to create more of an atmosphere for different moods at home, and these are core to it. Toss a few of these into some lamps and some floor cans tucked behind a corner plant and bingo!
