> 3 dayThe ability to change the color of your lights is pretty fun, and sets a good ambiance for parties. I also like to have bluer light to help wake me up in the morning, and warmer light towards bedtime. I wish that there werent such a lag between changing the lights in the app or switch, and the lights actually changing. This isnt a problem usually, but there could be more functionality and responsiveness for lights changing with music if there werent a 3 second lag. Lastly, the switch to turning on the lights with your phone from a wall switch is stark. Its just not as satisfying to play with an app and then wait 3 seconds and then have light when all you want to do is see when you get home. The wall switch that Phillips sells for these lights is necessary IMHO, and then you have a physical and a wifi switch for your lights :-/ Cant wait to see where this technology goes in 3 years.

> 3 dayGot this off the treasure truck on a great deal. These were my first smart light bulbs. Having had them for months now, I can understand why people started overhauling their houses with these. They provide plenty of light for our rooms on white setting, that was important to satisfy if they were going to be in main rooms. We have two in floor lamps in our living room, and two in a ceiling fixture in our bedroom. The color options are fantastic in the living room. Watching movies with scenes set, or even just dimmed to a single color really enhances the experience for me. I watch a fair amount of movies, having the dimmed lights in general is a necessity. Adding color to the general landscape extends the experience, and makes it easier on your eyes when focusing on the picture in comparison to a dark room. There are various capabilities Phillips adds to help automate your home (turn on when you get home via gps, turn off when you leave, sunrise, sunset, color changing on intervals, etc) which ate cool to play with. The most useful was turning the lights on when I got home, I kept thinking I forgot to turn them off when I left because it was so reliable. I had to turn off that feature because I kept waking up a napping wife. The integration with Amazon Echo is fine for on/off but we use the app for any color customization. It can handle small things like set [color], but you leave much of the functionality on the table if you dont use the app. All in all, great product.

> 3 dayI am someone who likes to decorate for a variety of holidays, especially my outdoor lights. However, I hated changing the bulbs to different colors all the time. These work great inside of my outdoor lights, but I do have them under the cover of a porch. I use red and green for christmas, orange for halloween, red and blue for american holidays, and blue for the cops among a variety of others. They can also be white for everyday and work with the use of an app - they also allow me to set timers so I dont have to remember to turn the lights off and on! Eventually I plan on changing all the bulbs in my house to hue lights!

> 3 dayThe Alexa integration stopped working over a month ago and nothing has been done to fix it. I wouldn’t buy these if you’re in the market and own an Alexa.
