the bulbs themselves are great....the software (hue app) and setup process is *total* garbage. Ive spent 2 hours searching for my bulbs....using both the standard search and entering the serial numbers off the bulb...and not once have all the bulbs been found. 4 bulbs all across the front of my house (10-20 feet between each of them) and line of sight to my wifi access point. The closest bulb to the bridge is 15. Philips software engineers should be embarrassed. The UI is trash and doesnt retain your serial numbers, so you have to keep entering them over and over and over. WHY???? Ive seen many reports online of people having the same issues....Shame...so much wasted potential

I regret buying these. They keep disconnecting. Since they are in my ceiling it is a nightmare to take them out, then walk them over to the hub on the other side of the house, and go through their ridiculous process. I have had to buy enough bulbs to daisy chain them from one room to the next just to get these to work in my bedroom and they still dont work. Worst part is, when they dont work/arent connected, they just flash like strobe lights when you turn on the light switch, so unless you take them out, you cant use the lights at all. The support pages on the Philips Hue site are a joke - about as basic and useless as you can get. If you havent purchased yet, try something else.

Bulbs and hub work great! Only hitch this time I had to enter each bulb serial # as the bulbs were not automatically recognized.

Bridge keep disconnecting. Lights keep turning on after I turn them off by voice commands. When I contacted customer service regarding the problems they told that I void my warranty and they can’t help me.

Integrated it with my old Hue system. Works perfectly.

Installed lights and even though they all work in white, only 3 of the 4 bulbs changed colors and the same 3 out of 4 worked with phone software or Alexa. One light only stays white. Would have liked a replacement but was only given a choice for refund.

Got this off the treasure truck on a great deal. These were my first smart light bulbs. Having had them for months now, I can understand why people started overhauling their houses with these. They provide plenty of light for our rooms on white setting, that was important to satisfy if they were going to be in main rooms. We have two in floor lamps in our living room, and two in a ceiling fixture in our bedroom. The color options are fantastic in the living room. Watching movies with scenes set, or even just dimmed to a single color really enhances the experience for me. I watch a fair amount of movies, having the dimmed lights in general is a necessity. Adding color to the general landscape extends the experience, and makes it easier on your eyes when focusing on the picture in comparison to a dark room. There are various capabilities Phillips adds to help automate your home (turn on when you get home via gps, turn off when you leave, sunrise, sunset, color changing on intervals, etc) which ate cool to play with. The most useful was turning the lights on when I got home, I kept thinking I forgot to turn them off when I left because it was so reliable. I had to turn off that feature because I kept waking up a napping wife. The integration with Amazon Echo is fine for on/off but we use the app for any color customization. It can handle small things like set [color], but you leave much of the functionality on the table if you dont use the app. All in all, great product.
