> 3 dayAbsolutely the best Christmas gift I could have picked for my mother. Setup was incredibly easy with the Google home ecosystem already in place. Physically it was as simple as plugging the bridge into your home router and screwing the bulbs in. Naming the rooms and what each light you want is incredibly simple. Easily the one thing this holiday season I have no regrets about purchasing.

Greater than one weekLove the array of colors to choose from. My 10 year old thinks our house is so cool. I’m getting more tech savvy with these lights, 3 Alexa’s, and I’m leaving our Twinkly Christmas Tree up year round as I can change the colors on the tree to whatever I want from an app on my phone. 4 stars only as to lately, there’s been a major delay or sometimes I have to just leave it alone for a good few minutes and retry and it’ll work then to change the color to what I selected.

> 3 dayNOTE: AFAICT, the Hue Hub does *not* have the ability to join a wifi network, it must be wired in. This was slightly surprising since it literally advertises wifi support on the box. This could simply be my failing to see how to link it up wirelessly. Ive tried out several other brands of smart bulbs (with color), and these are hands down the best. They link quickly and their color range is great. Bright is bright, and the dimmest settings are *great* for sleeping at night. The whole Philips Hue system works very well, and integrates with Google just fine.

> 3 dayYou cant just have the hub powered on, it needs an internet connection. It would be nice if the hub could just bluetooth to your devices so a router based internet connection is not required. As some of the locations I stay at as a digital nomad do not have any router internet connections, leaving me to only tether via my phone. I have ordered LIFX instead and will be giving these to a friend who lives in a permanent location.

> 3 dayThe Hue Hub will not connect to my WiFi Router. I’ve called Comcast and they too were hopeless in being able to help get the Hub connected. I spent 3 hrs on the phone with a level 3 support person from Comcast, to make sure I was connecting the router and hub correctly. The Hub drops the connection (all lights go out) immediately after connecting up the Hub. It’s a miserable waste of money. Philip Hue has no support team to help and now amazon will not let me return the broken item. Really upsetting. Major disappointment.

> 3 dayThese are fun, a little expensive but worth the vibes they create. One thing that is irritating is google home (which I know does not have anything to do with phillips) will say OK, TURNING 4 LIGHTS OFF every time you tell it to. That can be...annoying. I created some appletts in IFTTT so her speaking is less annoying, but Id like it to be completely silent. I dont need my smart device to announce it just turned the lights off - I can see that myself. Its also a little weird not having light switches. Sometimes you dont want to use your voice or the phone to quickly pop a light on. I may invest in a phillips dimmer or switch to remedy this. The light spectrum is nice and the app works well.

> 3 dayWe are changing out all our lights to Hue. Its so much easier to control and we set the lights to automatically to turn on and off based on our habbits. No more, did I leave the lights on? its now, let me check if I left the lights on.
