You will need this to get the most out of your Vita. While you can use a smaller memory card and be ok, this is perfect for people who dont want to have to swap out memory cards. Everyone has already said this but it is worth saying again. This memory card is way to expensive......way too expensive. Sony in typical fashion has gone with proprietary memory. I do understand them wanting to control the platform because of the amount of piracy that happened with the PSP. It would have been nice if they would have lowered the prices of all of these memory cards giving people more space to put games on them. This would help raise purchase numbers if they have more space to store them.

I just bought a PlayStationTV & have many various format gems of games to buy through its store & need a beefy memory card for the virtual downloads & save data. From what I can tell, this capacity card can only be found on online. It performs as expected with no problems & has fast read/write speed. Packaging does not state the speed however. I would have given this item a 5 star rating if it werent for SONYs msrp. This proprietary card is expensive everywhere! As of this typing, most brands various memory card formats are at a ratio of 1 U.S. dollar or less per GB. Many stores, both online & physical, seem to be selling the 32GB for only $20 less than the 64GB. If you can spare the difference, I recommend buying this 64GB card. You can never have enough space!

Even though it delivers closer to 58 GB of space, its more than enough space for any games youll want to download and play, or just check out as a part of PSN+s free monthly game program. The load and access times are good and fast, and the card itself is good and durable (though really once it goes into your Memory Slot, it shouldnt ever really be coming back out again). With a lot of the larger PS Vita games barely reaching 4 GB and the majority of games being closer to 700MB - 1.8 GB, I cant reiterate enough that once you pick up this Memory Card, worrying about running out of space will be a thing of the past. Definitely recommend picking one up, especially with the upcoming influx of solid titles for the console.

while prices are ridiculously high, compared to current U.S. prices for (1) 32gb ps vita memory card, its completely worth it. there was a point where the price was on sale for for the 32gb unit ($40 usd, not amazon) during the 2013 holidays, but that quickly, and I mean QUICKLY, sold out. Since I prefer my games digital, and for portables, dislike carrying around a collection of games, I made the jump on this. coupled with a ps plus subscription, all the free games already available and more to come, this item is well equipped to hold them all. yes, you could get a smaller card and hold only what you will play and delete it once its done and rinse and repeat, but just having an entire collection ready to play is very satisfying. unfortunately, I do not see this coming to the U.S. anytime soon, since the current models just received a price cut (which isnt much, but hey), and the 32gb currently standing at $80 usd msrp, if we follow the logic of pricing, this would theoretically be at $160 usd. which sounds unrealistic, but remember that when the 32gb first came out it was $100. If and when it does come out, at a more reasonable price point hopefully, I highly recommend getting this IF you prefer your games digital. But at the current prices of importing this item, at $110-130 it was still a worthwhile purchase.

The first impression that I had was, Wow, that little cards expensive! But this card does hold a lot. To put it in perspective, I have 47 games, consisting of PS Vita, PSP, and PS1 titles. 20 video files, and over 200 songs. With that, I currently have 5GBs left. If that amount of content for the price sounds good to you, then I would recommend a buy. Edit: 4 years later, the card has gone bad on me. The data has become corrupted and cant be copied, backed up, played, moved, or uninstalled. I lost a lot of game saves because of this. I suppose this is the unfortunate outcome of every card eventually, and i have heard of this happening to others in a shorter period of time.

I can share the same experience as many other reviewers have, be prepared to deal with currupted data, crashes, errors, and it’s inevitable death after 12 - 36 months of use depending on your gaming habits. I was having problems with it from the moment I received it, but after reformatting it a few times and rebuilding the database, the memory card finally became a bit stable. I still encountered issues with it throughout the life of it before it finally died, just after it’s 24 month window. Luckily, I have PS Plus so all my save data is safe, but regardless, having to pay close to $100 for a 64gb proprietary memory card that is bound to fail anyway is hard to swallow. I have another 32gb card that I have been using for a few years now and it is still going strong. So the widespread complaints about the 64gb card being more problematic than others may in fact be true true story after all... I experienced it myself. As others have mentioned, if you get it, be sure to either back up your saves often via content manager or get PS Plus. The memory card begins to exhibit problems without any warnings so one day you will pick up your Vita and find out that your memory card has called it quits on you. It happened to me. Stay informed and do your research before buying one, a quick search online will validate not only what I said, but what many others have said as well.

The card functions fine even though its Japanese the vita is region free and it can run with any game or card as long as its for the PlayStation. The card fits a lot of games and other things you want to put into it without any problems I recommend getting it so that you dont need to keep swapping cards to be able to play games. Its totally worth it since there quite pricey.

I previously owned a 16GB card for my Vita, upgrading from the 4GB card the unit came with. However, as a Playstation Plus subscriber, I quickly found myself running out of room on that card too. After learning that this 64GB card works with any Vita despite only being available in Japan at the moment, I decided to take the plunge and quadruple my space once again. The card itself is outstanding, and hasnt given me a single problem. With 59GB of usable space, it can easily hold every single free game released on PS+ thus far, with plenty of space remaining for other Vita/PSP/PS1 games and media. No more deliberating on which game to delete...at least for now. Having said that, on to the obvious negative. I know everyones pointed it out before, but Vita memory cards are quite expensive. Thats still very much the case here, but this card is easily the best in terms of dollars per gigabyte. A 32GB Vita card is usually about $80; this card has double that space for only about $30 more. Bottom line: this is the kind of card the Vita always needed. Vita games can be up to 4GB in size, and those smaller cards arent going to cut it if you get a lot of games digitally (i.e., if youre a Plus subscriber). If youre upgrading your card, though, might as well upgrade to this one. Its pricey, but its also the best deal on Vita memory you can get right now.

Sonys insistence on keeping Vita memory cards proprietary (not even letting 3rd party companies making and releasing their own versions) is ridiculous, but no use whining now after all these years. If youre going to get a memory card, it might as well be the largest around for the best value. 64GB doesnt sound like much in this day and age where phones come in 64 and even 128GBs. But trust me, for gaming purposes, its plenty and will alst you a long time. game saves barely take up any space at all and the bulk of your memory will most likely be taken up by digital games you purchase (or get free every month from Playstation Plus). Game sizes can vary, though massive games that take up 3/4 GBs are pretty rare. 64GB will hold plenty of games to play for quite a while.
