Go ahead and purchase another brand. This failed after 5 months of use...so much for the Pro Elite series...customer service via PNY is kinda difficult. Have to call a number and wait, cant submit a ticket via website as thats only for commercial customers. When it did work, it was fine, but 5 months of usage and then a failure is typically a systemic design issue. Learned a $65 lesson...

I have this drive. My ps5 will not play nice with it, no matter the port or the cable I use. But it will work with my ps4. So I dont know if the ps5 or ssd need a firmware update to work properly. Update: also tried this drive hooked up to a usb 3.1 gen 2 (10 gbps) port. It will not work. So transfer speeds are nowhere near what is advertised.

Using it for as hackintosh SSD drive, and its amazing! super fast, super stable. And the size is incredibly small.

Very useful in storage large amounts of data.

My PNY flash drives ranging from 8-32GB keep failing at the worst times after years of use. My Dell laptop despite being USB 3.1 Gen1 is slow with transfers on flash drives. My desktops being the same Gen are substantially quicker. I needed to bridge the gap between work and school and 7 flash drives dropping like flies. This did it. Laptop transfers at about 118MBs and my desktop is easily 330MBs night and day from flash drives. Worth every penny, storage was never an issue but speed is. After sitting in class for nearly 4 hours, waiting 5 minutes to transfer files is agony. Now I wait seconds.

This exact same portable SSD drives costs $137 and change at Sams Club. Its small, solid and has, so far, been reliable. No complaints.

The only reason I gave 4 stars is It could use an rubber coating or something to keep it from slipping I have dropped it several times it’s very slick aluminum surface slides out of your hand so for portability it could use some improvement.
