> 3 dayThe speed is fast, but it gets hot after like maybe 10, 15 minutes of use (I was using it for time machine back up). It gets really hot, like MBA on full throttle without a cooling fan hot. Anyway they need better temp management program.

> 3 dayI like the PNY SSD product, but it is useless for me without backup software. Acronis provides mirroring software for PNY products if they are connected to the internet and can be accessed by Acronis. Users do not want computers and cell phones with personal information connected to the internet and especially if they can be accessed by software companies located in foreign countries. Users want hardware and software that will backup computers and cell phones to portable SSDs offline without being connected to the internet. WHY ISNT PNY SMART ENOUGHT TO FIGURE THIS OUT? They could be the leader in offline image backup by providing a product that users want and need.

> 3 dayGo ahead and purchase another brand. This failed after 5 months of use...so much for the Pro Elite series...customer service via PNY is kinda difficult. Have to call a number and wait, cant submit a ticket via website as thats only for commercial customers. When it did work, it was fine, but 5 months of usage and then a failure is typically a systemic design issue. Learned a $65 lesson...

> 3 day250 GB will store a lot of data. And having data backed up externally is a very good idea. Ideally, you would want two of these. Back up to one week one. In week two, back up to the other. Store them off-site, swapping them each week.

> 3 dayI have this drive. My ps5 will not play nice with it, no matter the port or the cable I use. But it will work with my ps4. So I dont know if the ps5 or ssd need a firmware update to work properly. Update: also tried this drive hooked up to a usb 3.1 gen 2 (10 gbps) port. It will not work. So transfer speeds are nowhere near what is advertised.

Reviews because !
Greater than one weekThe only reason I gave 4 stars is It could use an rubber coating or something to keep it from slipping I have dropped it several times it’s very slick aluminum surface slides out of your hand so for portability it could use some improvement.

> 3 dayI had a VM image stored on the drive, the drive just stopped responding without any warning. Now when I plug the drive in I get this error. Do not buy any PNY SSDs.
