> 3 dayGo ahead and purchase another brand. This failed after 5 months of use...so much for the Pro Elite series...customer service via PNY is kinda difficult. Have to call a number and wait, cant submit a ticket via website as thats only for commercial customers. When it did work, it was fine, but 5 months of usage and then a failure is typically a systemic design issue. Learned a $65 lesson...

Greater than one weekI just used this for the first time and it got extremly hot after a few mins like 5 or 10. Also it kept telling me I had to unplug and plug it back in when i was moving picturee from my samsung 20 plus to it.

> 3 dayI have this connected to my Xbox One X and its working great. Load times are quick. I wish the included cable was a little longer, but thats a small complaint.

> 3 dayAs someone who is accustomed to buying platter drives for computers, my mind is admittedly fixated on a very specific set of physical dimensions. This solid-state drive is roughly half the size of even my smallest external platter drive. Its quite convenient to have a full terabyte of high-speed storage in such a small package, and it gives me peace of mind knowing that -- since its solid state -- something as minor as a bit of jostling isnt going to send a read/write head scratching across the data surface, potentially eradicating all of my valuable data. A good buy, in my opinion.

Greater than one weekI had a VM image stored on the drive, the drive just stopped responding without any warning. Now when I plug the drive in I get this error. Do not buy any PNY SSDs.

> 3 dayThe speed is fast, but it gets hot after like maybe 10, 15 minutes of use (I was using it for time machine back up). It gets really hot, like MBA on full throttle without a cooling fan hot. Anyway they need better temp management program.

> 3 dayOut of the box it was easy to connect to my MacBook Pro 2016 laptop. Just plug in, then was able to drag and drop. So far Im averaging 180 mb / second. To backup 225 gb it took about 21 minutes. So, not as fast as advertised. It is nice light, and the price was decent. But I wouldnt buy again based on the speed.
