Pokémon Black Version 2

Ill be honest with you guys, I was rather hoping for a Hoenn remake or a Pokemon Grey Version instead of direct sequels to black and white. When I heard that Black and White would receive direct sequels rather than a combined version, I was disappointed at Nintendo for breaking tradition. But I love Pokemon (main series, mystery dungeon and ranger only) and could not but help buy both Black 2 and White 2 to play. I was in for a very pleasant surprise. Most of you guys must have noticed that Black and White are smoother, faster and slicker than the Sinnoh and Jhoto games even with the higher quality graphics of Gen V. Black and White 2 takes this to a higher level with even smoother animations, faster performance and more detail. Black and White players will be happy to know that the game does not spend too much time introducing the various mechanics that all players whove played Pokemon games before would be familiar with, unlike the rather long intro of the games before B2/W2. An experienced player will have his first gym badge very quickly. Ive only completed the games enough to reach the second gym and I have totally fallen in love with them. Note: I bought both Black 2 and White 2 so my opinion of both games is the same.

The best DS game yet, not just the best DS Pokemon game! The game starts up and there is no time wasting. You get your Pokemon within 5 minutes like Red/Blue, battle your rival, and be on your way! The amount of content in the game is insane for a Pokemon game with many of the wifi only Pokemon from Pokemon Black/White, being available without dumb downloads. There are familiar characters, places, and all new areas and a new team of villians to take over the world and are the ones responsible for freezing the land. You can discover the secret of Kyurem and learn of his special ability. You can travel to new cities and areas. The amount they added to the map is almost doubling the original game. It is now flooded with trainers to make leveling up very fast and easy. The new Elite 4 arenas are really cool as well! Unlike the other Japanese Pokemon games, I recommend learning some Japanese before playing this game because there were I think 3 places where you actually needed to read the Japanese text. Since this game is region-coded, in order to use PokeTransfer, you will need a Japanese version of a previous game to send them over (Diamond to Black2), but you can trade any region of Black/White to Black2. *This is my review I wrote from playing the Japanese version. There are no apparent differences other than the Japanese version allowing you to play in Kana/Gana or Kanji/Mandarin.

Nintendo finally got it right. When pokemon diamond came out several years ago, nintendo showed us better graphics and gameplay that had ever been used on a pokemon game. However, I felt that nintendo failed to capitalize on what truly made the ds special. HeartGold and SoulSilver came next, and I felt that this time, nintendo used the right tech, but missed what consumers wanted. They took a classic game and tried to add little perks that hadnt been there. As a result, you could catch a whopping total of 11 legendaries in the game! Thats ridiculous! Then along came Pokemon Black and White. It was a game that I was very skeptical of. After the first Pokemon Games, Red and Blue, the following Pokemon games always had a combination of new and those original 150 Pokemon. 150 NEW pokemon seemed a little odd. But I got it anyway, and it turned out to be the best pokemon game I have ever played. The Unova region was fun and new. And with 100% new pokemon, I was reduced to, hmmmmm that pokemon looks cool, I think I will catch it. Also, the story was by far the best I had ever played, after all, Team Plasma simply wanted to free pokemon, and how many pokemon trainers do we know have abused their pokemon. Let us count... Then I played Pokemon Black 2. This game again takes place in the Unova region, but this time there are Pokemon from all generations present. I still enjoyed the story, but I found it a bit shallower and not as engaging as Black/White. Still, the game does a nice job of modifying the Unova region enough to keep it new for players who played the original Black/White, and the presence of old pokemon allowed me to easily create a dream team with pokemon present from every generation. The only thing I didnt like about the story was the fact that Kyurem takes a huge role, and if you caught Kyurem in Black/White, you will know that Kyurem is a pretty lousy legendary, similar to Heatran in the Diamond/Pearl games. I found that I didnt want to lose the stats and moves that Zekrom had to fuse with Kyurem. But besides from a disappointing mascot, nintendo really has created an amazing game, so definitely check it out.

This is my first game which i got for my 3ds but have to say that this is the best pokemon version i have played , though I have to say that the story could have been better like B/W1 but the gameplay more than makes up for it! this s very addicting and ive already finished playing it for a 100 hours! Definitely a must buy!

I havent played a Pokemon game in years, and this was the first DS Pokemon game Ive played. And I must say, I was very impressed. The game was simply amazing. Though its been nearly two decades since the first games came out, even these new ones possess the same feeling that some of my favorite games possessed years back. Pokemon Black 2 is a great addition to the Pokemon franchise. Just about everything was amazing in this game, and its definitely a sign that the Pokemon franchise isnt planning on slowing down anytime soon.

As far as the actual game goes, its great. I love Black 2 & White 2 the most out of the DS Pokemon releases. Now with that said, I am a bit frustrated that I received a U.S.E. version, and this is where the two stars cone from. Now yes, I did get the game as promised in a case, but it doesnt have the manual since it is a U.S.E. version. Thats what makes me irritated. As a collector, I want my product complete in box, and when I pay $40 for a new copy, I expect it to be, well, NEW. Okay, it is technically new, but no manual? Really?

This was a gift for our grandson, from the look in his face when he opened it and how fast he Bahans to play it I’d say it is definitely 5 Stars!!!

Its been months since I played Pokemon White ( I miss my Zekrom), so it gave me a good feeling to get back into my Pokemon Trainer mode when I got Black 2. One of things that I love about this game is that they brought back some of the other generation pokemon like first and third. And I notice the big difference between white and black 2, I was able to beat pokemon white in about a week where black 2 its taking me longer because I have to literally train all of my pokemon in order to get my next gym badge. Now my starter pokemon cant win every freakin battle like in white but I actually appreciate that. A gamer like me loves challenges.

Greetings, as a late purchase after its release, I got my hands on Pokemon Black 2, just a few months before the highly expected new gen X and Y game. Its really nice to see the same environment from Black/White versions, with a few tweaks around. The actions is never missing and its always enjoying to see the story carrying you on with the characters both from the Black/White versions and new ones as well. If you are a Pokemon franchise fan as I am, you should not miss out the game, even if we are very close to the release of the new gen game.

This game is awesome. It has nice somewhat long plot that will keep you entertain for some time. I highly recommend this game. Sucks that you cant directly trade from platinum, but its not deal breaker. Just find someone with the original White or Black to do you favor if you dont have the original Black and White like I did. Anyhow, this game is awesome.
