Pokémon Black Version 2

> 3 dayI grew up playing Pokemon and have recently started playing the newer titles. This game has a great mix of new features while keeping a lot of the essence of what makes Pokemon such a great game to play. The storyline is easy to follow and I especially enjoy the ability to stick to it strictly or explore side missions. The updated pokedex system is my favorite new feature by far. Being able to see a checklist for all of the Pokemon in a specific habitat makes it really convenient to track your progress and help complete the game. I havent beat the game yet so I cant comment on post game adventures, but with so much to see, do, and explore, Im sure this game wont get old anytime soon!

Pokemon Friend for Life
> 3 dayThe game is another fun time in the world of Pokemon. My children say that it is not as good as the White version because they like the characters in the White version more, but they still enjoy it immensely. Well done for all.

Greater than one weekI wanted to come back to the series to see what has changed. There have been some nice UI updates over the course of the series, and certainly the game looks better than it did back in Gen1. The pokemon themselves have gotten a lot sillier, though that is slightly age and bias. Challenge mode helps to overcome the easiness that has been put into the series. Biggest complaint is no following companion feature, which I really had hoped to see brought over from Heart Gold.

> 3 dayNow coming off of Heart Gold/Soul Silver I was somewhat burned out by the franchise (started with Gold/Silver moved back to Red/Blue then went to Fire Red/ Leaf Green then to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum skipped Black/White 1). However, decided to give this game a shot and did not regret it. Its a refreshing change to the other games, but unfortunately, the story in black/white 2 is lacking. The way its lacking is that I feel it was rushed. Other than that, thats about the only gripe I can name at this point. Gameplay: Its about what you would expect from the series at this point. Resembles Generation IV but adds new items that changes mechanics a bit so adds more strategy (I assume these changes were implemented in Black/White 1 I cant say at the moment). The AI has been tweaked in this game so its smarter. Unfortunately, the main story battles are still about brute force with weaknesses. Now, if you want to fight the proper AI, you want to try the features such as the Battle Subway and the World Tournament (new to the series). Unfortunately, you cant access the bulk of the World Tournament until youve cleared the game. I wont spoil what extras become unlocked at that point. If you enjoyed the series in general, you will like the bonus. There are also extra events such as doing a movie shoot and the use of props. Theyre much like contests in the previous games and are optional (for the most part). Further, you can register your game card to take part on a website that shows you real-time statistics of all the other trainers in the world who are battling trading and etc. You can also get access to Dream World that allows you to have more playability. It allows you to also obtain pokemon with special abilities that you would not find in-game. It also will make it easier to find pokemon that are not specific to the Unova region (such as some from Honen, Kanto, Johto and etc). A side note, it seems to have changed some of the features of the C-Gear you get in game as well as customizable skins if you register your cart and take advantage of Dream World. Story: Like I said before, its a bit rushed. It feels very forgettable. It does make mention of plot of Black and White 1. If you havent played those games, I suggest you play them first to get a feel as to what is going on. Otherwise, you might be a bit clueless (not enough to ruin the overall story). Again, I dont have much to say about it because its forgettable. Though not the worst story in the series Ive seen thus far. Replayability: Fairly high with the World Tournament and Battle Subway as you can test your skill against smarter AI with pokemon with smarter move-sets. Dream world is a nice addition. Theres also a plethora of things you can do once youve cleared the game which you can discover on your own. I just got this game to see what the hoopla for Generation V was all about. Overall, very satisfied. Though play Black and White 1 before you get this game as it will shed a bit more light on the backstory of some of the characters. You, apparently, get a bit of a bonus for playing that then playing B/W2. You wont be disappointed with this entry in the series even if youre fan (even a casual one like me).

> 3 dayWhat I liked most about this product, is having basically everything at the start of my adventure. Sure I couldnt choose my starter, but having every Pokemon with max IV and EVs , more than makes up for the inconvenience. later on I can breed to get the near perfect Pokemon I want. I didnt give this game 5 stars because some of the items dont work, but I would recemend buying this from MintyFreshGames. Worth the money I paid, because of everything that was put into it.

Greater than one weekOnce again, Pokemon has not let me down. This game is just as good - better perhaps - than the previous Pokemon Black. One of the best parts is the mix of Pokemon you can catch early in the game. Not just Unova region Pokemon, but a mix from previous regions too. I caught a Growlithe early in the game; I missed them so much from FireRed!
