Pokémon Legends: Arceus - Nintendo Switch

Very different from other pokemon games! Could play for hours. Similar to breath of the wild

It is not a basic pokemon game its totally unique

The overall game is addicting, open world, and somewhat what Ive always dreamed of a Pokémon game.

I played Pokemon Red, Lets go Eevee, and Sword and Shield and this has been my favorite.

This is an amazing game, I have 100+ hours on it without shiny hunting. The game mechanics are much different from any main and side line Pokémon games. It reminds me of “Zelda: Breath of the wild” but with Pokémon battles. I don’t know if Nintendo still makes “Player’s choice” cases but it is up there with “Pokémon Colosseum”.

I’m impressed by Nintendo’s attempt to make an open-world Pokemon game! It’s jam-packed with new pokemon like Alpha and Noble pokemon, but the world does feel a bit bland at times. That’s my only critique. Also the game feels super grindy at times if you’re Nuzlocking haha. This is an excellent game however and is really enjoyable overall.

This was a fun game. I like all Pokémon games. This one was especially unique and fun. This is a must have game if you got the console for it.

I have loved and played Pokemon since I got a copy of silver from my older brother in the first grade but this game took my breath away! I felt the same excitement and fulfillment I remember experiencing as a little kid and cannot believe how wonderfully done this game is. I really hope they continue with games outsider the norm like this, the novelty it offers enriches so much while still honoring and staying rooted in the classics and characters I love so much

So I’ve been playing Pokémon games since Pokémon Red… And (sorry if this offends anyone) they kinda suck…They’re all basically just reskins of each other with the same plot and same game mechanics. Basically, if you’ve played one game, you’ve played them all. And if you’re into that, great! Good for you!…I am not. Arceus however, is the first Pokémon game I’ve played that I’ve REALLY enjoyed. Primarily for the open world aspects it has in it. Most Pokémon games feel extremely…Cramped. There’s no freedom to do much, but this game gives you A LOT MORE FREEDOM. The boss battles are also different, challenging and fun! I also LOVE letting my Pokémon out of their balls and talking to them to see the animations! SO CUTE! I mean don’t get me wrong, you still have to sit through hours and hours of dialogue THAT YOU CAN’T REALLY SKIP!…And don’t care about. But honestly, I’m just used to that at this point with games that exist like Genshin Impact and other Nintendo games. It’s fun to play, fun to explore the maps and rewarding when you finally can explore a new region or find your first random shiny Pokémon walking around out in the wild and you’re just like “Wait…That Eevee isn’t the right color…” Overall, would highly recommend even if you’re sick of the classic Pokémon experience and are looking for a slightly new twist on things.

Compared to past pokemon games, this has a new feel which makes it more captivating to someone who is tired of the same pokemon game format.
