Ive found that I dont really care for the standard Pokemon formula, mostly because I like the collecting aspect of pokemon but not the battle parts. So this game is more open world than normal (not completely, since you have to go back to the hub city before going out to another location, and theres loading times with all that), which is enjoyable. Youre not locked into linear paths like a normal pokemon game. I really love that you can sneak up on pokemon and catch them without having to battle. Its a whole new mechanic, and its one that I enjoy a lot more. You can even catch the big alpha pokemon this way, if your trainer level is high enough. Im at end game right now (past the credits, but I havent seen much of the main storyline after that, as Im having to level up my units), and Im able to stealth catch level 70 alphas without needing to fight them. Theres still a lot to be desired as far as graphics, design, and character development. It very much feels like a game made for small children in that regard. I do wish at some point theyd make an open world pokemon game with a more mature audience in mind, given how many of their serious and casual players are adults. But I did enjoy this one a lot more than the main line pokemon games, and Ill almost certainly buy another Legends game if they make a sequel.

    Greater than one week

Having played most games through Gen 6 and now having kids of my own picking up Pokémon, I can say this is a great refresh for the franchise and likely to pave the way for generations to come. My 4.5 year old definitely favors this overs the lets go games and I agree with him. While its not perfect and there are only 240 Pokémon within, its still an enjoyable experience we clocked jn 102 hours and as I type thus my son is still exploring the open world to catch Pokémon. 10/10 would recommend this for any Pokémon fan

Game is fun, but the story was a little messed up considering the original pokemon lore.

great game, but however it was handled was awful. the case is still functional, but kinda sad to look at next to my other nice cases. also it’s from the UK for some reason?? not a problem since the switch isn’t region locked, but a little weird.

As a fan of the Pokémon franchise, I was thrilled to get my hands on Pokémon Legends: Arceus for the Nintendo Switch, and I have to say, it did not disappoint! One of the things that sets this game apart from previous Pokémon games is its open-world gameplay, which allows players to explore the vast, beautiful region of Hisui at their own pace. I loved being able to wander through the forests, mountains, and towns of this new world, discovering new Pokémon and uncovering the secrets of the region. The battle system in Pokémon Legends: Arceus has also been revamped, with a new action order system that adds an extra layer of strategy to battles. I found this system to be engaging and challenging, and it kept me on my toes throughout the game. But perhaps my favorite thing about this game is the story. The game is set in a time before the traditional Pokémon League even existed, and players take on the role of a researcher studying the Hisui regions Pokémon. As the story unfolds, players must navigate political intrigue and ancient legends to uncover the true history of the region, culminating in an epic showdown with the legendary Pokémon Arceus. Overall, I would highly recommend Pokémon Legends: Arceus to any fan of the Pokémon franchise or anyone looking for a fun, engaging adventure game for the Nintendo Switch. The open-world gameplay, revamped battle system, and captivating story make for a truly unforgettable gaming experience.

Its honestly one of the best pokemon games out there. I grew up with pokemon from the very first gen all the way up to now, and this was a big step forward for the pokemon series. I havent stopped playing since I got it and loving every bit of it.
