> 24 hourarrived fine. sound very good with the right amp.... but... if you want it to sound not as flat...build a box enclosure for it.... sounds better with a box enclosure...Polk used to sell one specifically for these speakers..... but many are making one similar themselves.. you really need a good amp to push them to get the sound they were designed for out of them . remember these are mid bass and high speakers..... so dont expect a lot of low base out of them

> 24 hourMy plans changed, so I did not need these anymore and returned them, but not before taking them out of the box and checking them out. They are very well built, and look impressive. I can only assume they sound great from the reviews I have read and personal experience with my existing Polk speakers

> 24 hourUsed to round out our surround sound Polk Speaker System. Blend nicely as in the wall speakers and has amazing sound quality! Sound quality and detail is so clear, we sometimes get startled by the sneaky sounds in movies, so does our dog. You forget they are in the wall until the movie starts. They look upscale and our neighbors are jealous.

> 24 hourI was truly skeptical about purchasing in-wall speakers. I thought for sure these would sound horrible. But, Polk Audio never seems to disappoint. Ive owned some of there lesser models and they seemed to perform well too. However, the 265RT are definitely one of their higher end products and it sounds even better than the previous bookshelf models I owned. The speaker is setup in a large room with tall ceilings. This kind of environment doesnt lend itself to good sound quality. But even in that size room the 265RT sounds great. The speakers are used for both playing music and watching shows. As surround speakers the sound amazing. I hear more detail than I heard with my older bookshelf model. When playing music, it is definitely more defined sound than with my older speakers. Overall I am very pleased.

> 24 hourI keep the covers off and always get compliments. The sound is great too, especially for the price. Installation can be stressful if you arent already pre-wired in the area or the stud gaps are anything but standard. The right speaker barely fit, in fact I couldnt tighten the dog ears on the right side properly as there was a stud in the way, however it was tight enough to be solidly in the wall even when I put it to work!

> 24 hourI have a mid-size 15’x25’ media room and 4 of these speakers sound great. Very happy with them!

> 24 hourI replaced a set of Polk Audio RTi A9s to regain some space. These sound just as good with a sub. You will need a sub to get the lows youll be looking for to round out the sound and enjoy movies. They sound fine without a sub, but to really get that full bodied sound, I suggest a sub, or pair of 12 subs as I have done. I airbrushed the grills to match the paint on the walls they were installed in. It was the 1st time I have used an airbrush and I must say, they look like they came that way from the factory!
