UPDATE 2: Three years later and still pretty much daily use, these speakers are still performing without issue! UPDATE: A year later with daily use, and these things still sound absolutely amazing behind my acoustically transparent theater screen. If you have any doubts, stop. Just buy three of these and place them all vertically for your L-C-R front soundstage. You wont regret it! Original Review: These speakers are freaking awesome. I have three of them (L-C-R) all positioned vertically in the wall behind an acoustically-transparent screen in my home theater, and they sound absolutely amazing.

installed easily, and sounds great

Amazon asked in stars to rate instal ease. This will vary greatly for each instillation. It will take up all but a 1/4 of a 2*4 wall cavity using 1/2 drywall. The push pins for the speaker wire are good but I would prefer a screw style connector. I had to cut a stud to get these symmetric in my install. But I boxed the cut stud above and below. Actually screwing the speakers into the wall is easy. The clamps grip the wall well and the speaker is very secure and doesnt rattle. The people in the next room over will definitely hear the music though. But that should be obvious. And installing these on an exterior wall will require you to remove the insulation directly around the speakers so it will fit in the wall.

Pols speakers are very good

I ordered all of the components of my theater system upfront so when I was running wires, cutting holes, etc. I would have everything at my finger tips. I didnt read that after 30 days you cant return anything - even if you got a defective product. Given the timeline for most DIYers this is too short of a period of time. When I called Polk to see if they would honor their warranty, they refused to send me a new speaker and instead send me some parts and expected to be disassemble and repair.

Husband is really happy

Used to round out our surround sound Polk Speaker System. Blend nicely as in the wall speakers and has amazing sound quality! Sound quality and detail is so clear, we sometimes get startled by the sneaky sounds in movies, so does our dog. You forget they are in the wall until the movie starts. They look upscale and our neighbors are jealous.
