This humidifier is a winter MUST HAVE. Ours is constantly running and makes a huge difference in the quality of sleep we are getting. The top of the machine is fairly easy to clean, but the only issue comes from trying to clean the base pan, this proves to be more challenging. We clean ours at the end of each month, so other than that, the machine is a staple in our home throughout the rest of the month. Very quite and easy to adjust based on the flow your home needs.

As a personal humidifier, this is great. It has no permanent light, but does light up for you when changing modes. Even though it only holds roughly a 12 oz cup of water, its enough for it to run all night, and if you put it bedside, it helps keep you from drying out. Its a good supplement if youre just a bit dry. The included USB cord may be a bit short, but those are easy to swap out. Very neat overall. It comes with 1 spare cotton wick, so Im hoping they last a while and dont get too icky over time.

Everything about this item is perfect for a personal bedside humidifier (size, sleek design, features, quiet mist), but it completely stopped working after a few months of me only using it at night. I tried cleaning it and changing the filter, but no go. The light doesnt even turn on! Other reviews mentioned this flaw with the product, but I decided to gamble on it anyway. I’m so disappointed because it really is perfect in every other way. I may try to contact the company to see if I can return it for a free replacement (that is how much I love it), but it’s been over 30 days.

Before purchasing, I researched maybe 10 other humidifiers being sold on Amazon and I finally settled on this one. Key things to consider when buying a humidifier: How easy is it to refill? Other humidifiers have to be filled upside down! I was not gonna go through the hassle of having to bring it to the sink and disassemble it every time I wanted to fill it. This one fills by just pouring water on the top. It has a little slit for small fills but if you want to fill the whole thing, just take the top part off, very easy. Size: This one holds a gallon of water and lasts me a few days of it running for hours each day. Id say if it was constantly running it would last a night of sleep plus a half. Timer: This one unfortunately does not have a timer. I kinda wish I bought the one with the timer but it is not a big deal. This one claims that it will turn off if it gets too humid but I havent noticed that to be true. It does shut off automatically when it runs out of water though Visible fill line: I wanted to be able to see what level the water is at so I can expect when it will need a refill. This basin is not see through but it does have a fill line that is lit up when on. Essential oils: I didnt buy this for the essential oil slot but it is a nice addition. When I want to freshen up my room from the stale air I just dab some essential oils onto the pad in the pop-out plastic tray. One small con is that the tray gets kind of stuck after you click it to open. I have to tug on it a little but not a big deal. Mist height and direction: This one shoots up pretty high and has 3 different height settings. The mist also seems to fall on my left when I am sitting below it. I have it on top of my bedframe. Noise level: This thing is so quiet, it does make some water noises with a very small whirring sound but it is pretty peaceful Hope this helps you decide on your purchase!

Ive been using my Geniani humidifier for about a month now. I purchased it because of its reviews and its good price, and I am glad that I did. The product, as it came out of the box, was easy to understand, and it set up in maybe five minutes, and thats including the time it took moving the little table I set it on into the right position in my bedroom. The transformer/power plug slid into the socket quickly, and the humidifier looks sleek and nice as it sits in my master bedroom. I use a product called Force of Nature, a natural form of hypochlorous acid which acts as a sanitizer, and I easily fill the humidifier with a 1 liter pitcher of water with about two tablespoons of the Force of Nature solution suspended in the water. The pitcher makes for an easy, no-touch filling of the water tank. It took me a few nights of pushing the single button to figure out how to set the humidifiers output to my needs (if I can do it, I KNOW you can!), and it took a mishandling on my part to spill water on my pretty wood table to see how the humidifier is constructed. None of that is a worry, however, as theres always an adjustment to any new appliance in the home. The actual humidification of your room is SILENT. Okay, thats a teeny fib, theres a bit of a whispery-hiss as the vapor rises from the humidifier, but I dont even think it would quantify on a decibel meter. The tank lasts me usually two or two and a half nights. I refill it every other night, regardless, using water from the tap and my Force of Nature sanitizer. One of the best takeaways about this product? I have a cat who has FHV, and she gets very dry sinuses in the winter. The other morning, I found her on the ottoman next to the humidifier, lying under the mist from the humidifier, relaxed, enjoying the moisture as it enters her respiratory system. What a joy to see that she has figured out that the humidifiers mist means good things for her! Since cats dont respond well to essential oils--they do not metabolize the oils and they build up, unhealthily, in their systems, I have not used the essential oil trapdoor, so I cannot speak to how EOs work in the Geniani. That this is a US Veteran and Family business is a bonus. Thank you for a good product.

This is a nice little mister and would have gotten five stars except that it quit working after barely a month. Just past the Amazon return window (of course). So heres what happened: I received the item at the end of December and have used it every night since. I clean it every week. But here it is just one week past the return window and I plug it in after cleaning and nothing happens. The red light that is supposed to show briefly doesnt come on, it wont turn on, nothing. So the first thing I do is take it to a different outlet to make sure that its the machine and not the outlet. Still nothing. Phooey. I take the top off to empty (yes its still plugged in and I know better) and the base of the unit is filled with mist and theres a little spit of water leaping up about every two seconds. Color me astonished. As Im watching this weird spectacle, the red light comes on and it produces a strong stream of mist and then everything stops again. After about a minute, this weird routing starts again. I havent touched it at all, its off and its doing all this by itself. Ooookay...twilight zone in my bathroom. I unplug it and hightail it to my computer to access my order only to find that the return window expired less than a week ago. Double phooey. So I look up the brand name and go to their website to see if there are any FAQs or troubleshooting hints that address what Im experiencing. Nada. So I do the adult thing and go to their contact info, find their phone number and call. The customer service rep listened to what I described and then told me that apparently the base of the unit is faulty and they will send me a new one. All I have to do is send an email with some specific info, which I promptly do. The very next day I have an email from them informing me that the new base has shipped. Two days later, I receive the new base and everything is working fine once again.

I purchased this to help my plants in our very dry and warm second bedroom. Ive owned and operated this for a few days now, so youre getting my initial thoughts. Im undecided but have a feeling I will end up keeping it. Hence why I took away a star. 3 stars felt too harsh considering what I ended up with. First, beware! I was extremely disappointed to realize after receiving the humidifier that most of the reviews are for a DIFFERENT humidifier. Check peoples photos! And not all reviews make sense for what is advertised. I guess I missed that. Some Amazon sellers do this thing where they update their listing to be a different product so the reviews stay and it sells better due to higher product ratings, even though its a completely different product. Some more thoughts: - Smaller than I expected, but I guess I got what I paid for. - It works well, is completely silent, but because its so small, the water in the tank only lasts overnight. The constant refill factor might get annoying. - I was also a little annoyed that it has a usb plug with no adapter to plug it into the wall - that you have to supply yourself. I must have missed that in the product description. Had to rearrange the plugs in this area of my home to accommodate for this. - Im happy with the flow of mist, and the different settings, though the instructions werent clear (someone answered a question about this that is super accurate! Check the question section). - Im wondering if I shouldnt have it so close to my plants? My dracaena leaves got super droopy. They were droopy before using the humidifier, but I think theyre now oversaturated with moisture and Im not sure how to remedy it. My other surfaces are not exactly mist-friendly (wood/particle board). Ill give it a little more time to observe the longer term effects on my plants.

The tank and basin have tons of nooks and crannies that make it impossible to fully clean. Cold vapor humidifiers are notoriously bad at harboring molds and fungus and so need to be cleaned frequently (every time I fill the tank). This one has surface features that are virtually impossible to fully clean, so I expect I’ll be having to replace this one after a few years time. It does work well and has several settings from a light most to full on rain forest. The lights in the tank are little annoying but can be turned off if they are too bright at night. It says it can be used with aromatic oils, but it’s hard enough to clean just using water.
