UPDATE: I have three of the 4L ones. I live in California. Why cant I purchase the 6L one? (Will not ship to CA) This is a godsend. After experiencing the usual allergies for years (they exist for me all year-round), they were exacerbated by other environmental conditions for a while. And I have never found a humidifier that I love ... until this one. Ive tried at least 8 different brands of humidifier over the past 4 years. And this baby is the best. UPDATE: It does not appear to actually shut off when out of water. It just stops. I learned this after adding water and mist immediately started up again. Also, the cycling through settings (5 button pushes and its off) is mystifying. IE, if I have it on the 2nd mist setting, I dont know when its actually off until mist stops - that means if I want to set it on a medium mist, I need to push the button until the mist stops. That means its off. Then, count the number of pushes to determine the mnist output. Minor problems both - since this humidifier works so well, humidifies a large room (600 sq ft) within an hour, mist output always consistent, the lights are truly unobtrusive. Im purchasing a second one for the bedroom. --Not too big, and does not empty too quickly - even on the highest output. --The settings are true to the amount of mist (and quick to bring humidity up in a 500sq ft room --100% quiet operation (never a gurgle, or hiccup from top to bottom tank water movement) --We have great water here on the west side of Los Angeles, so never any white dust. --No moisture underneath the unit or on the floor. --No leaking. --And this was running it for over 48 hours nonstop. Ive used it for a week. Its very dry in socal - especially on the hot days (this week, its been in the solid 80s. Humidity is consistently between 48-60. I had to turn it off one day because the humidity was staying solid at 58. I cannot say enough good about it. I love the black color. It is less obtrusive than white (which Ive always had in the past). And cleaning will be a snap. I havent used the essential oils tray. I have had other humidifiers with this feature (and a small sponge / tray) and have found that it doesnt work - or, rather when it does, its only about 2 minutes. (Frankly, for essential oils, I have two units specifically designed for that. Much better than trying to combine it into a humidifier) I really dont understand the complaints here about the blue light. The first few days, I used it in my bedroom (300sq ft) And I need pitch dark to sleep. Pressing the button for 3 seconds turns the blue light off. And the button light turns off completely after a few minutes. Even not turning the blue light off - I really needed to strain to see it across the room. Its a deep deep violet that does not illuminate the strip fully. Its a hint of color, really. Besides, I use a blindfold - or face they call it, too. Best invention for pitch dark sleeping, ever! I purchased another brand at the same time for another room. That was a disaster! Didnt even work well in the first 8 hours of use! (sputtered, no consistent stream... etc) Will be returning that one. Im saving up $$ to get two more of these units. Not only do my sinuses (and skin!) love the moisture - but my plants are thanking me, too. ;-]

    Greater than one week

This is a nice little unit. It has a small footprint easy to use and relatively quiet. There is a bit of a high pitch worrying motor sound but I am sensitive to sounds so most people probably wont be bothered by it.

I bought one in January 2023, and it was great until it stopped working in April. Geniani very promptly sent me a replacement, which I am delighted to have. Fantastic customer service. I would have given the unit 5 stars, but since my first one failed, Im reluctant to give it a 5.

We own THREE of these for a YEAR now. I don’t bother writing reviews because I’m too busy. But I respect this company and have been through well over a dozen humidifiers as I have lived over 30 years in Minnesota, which gets dry in the winter time. This humidifier has been by my favorite by far! It’s easy to use. Less maintenance to clean; I just soak in distilled white vinegar and it wipes off clean with paper towel/wash cloth and rarely scrubbing with a brush. I like to be able to choose the amount of humidity released. I can have it running all night and day and only need to refill at night again if I want humidity at night and that’s even at one of its highest amounts of release at level 3! I like that it’s super quiet for my kids’ room and mine; I’m an incredibly light sleeper!! I REALLY appreciate the feature to turn off the humidifier light as my kids have a main nightlight or be able to leave it on as their primary night light. I think the price is fair. We don’t wake up with dry and stuffy noses. The more I learn about how humidity helps with reducing the effects of colds and sinuses the more consistent I am to keeping it running all day and night. I’ll be buying one for our two living rooms where the kids play the most during the day. I took one star off because my ONLY annoyance is that the plug-in has a blue light on it (which is nice to know that it’s plugged in and working) but it’s so bright that I need to cover it up or it illuminates too much that is a bothersome to our nightly sleep. So wish that feature could be changed - dimmed. It’s not enough for me to not buy another one because I have definitely recommended it to family and friends!

May sound odd but its true. I buy these things with the idea in mind that they will last a season, if that and I would be happy with it. Put in distilled water they say, well, at 3 bucks a gallon, and lets say I use 5 of them a week, thats 15 bucks a week, 60 bucks a month, @ 200 dollars a year. What am I getting at? I use tap water, so its not exactly great for the Humidifier to use, gunks up the works. But this guy is powering through. I would recommend this 100 times over for anyone looking for one.

At first I was concerned about the size but now I like that it is smaller as it can fit on my nightstand comfortably right next to the bed. Works very well. It has helped open me up and reduce congestion as well as sleep easy. It says it lasts for at least 8 hours but I am fast asleep by then so I am not sure on that.

Before purchasing, I researched maybe 10 other humidifiers being sold on Amazon and I finally settled on this one. Key things to consider when buying a humidifier: How easy is it to refill? Other humidifiers have to be filled upside down! I was not gonna go through the hassle of having to bring it to the sink and disassemble it every time I wanted to fill it. This one fills by just pouring water on the top. It has a little slit for small fills but if you want to fill the whole thing, just take the top part off, very easy. Size: This one holds a gallon of water and lasts me a few days of it running for hours each day. Id say if it was constantly running it would last a night of sleep plus a half. Timer: This one unfortunately does not have a timer. I kinda wish I bought the one with the timer but it is not a big deal. This one claims that it will turn off if it gets too humid but I havent noticed that to be true. It does shut off automatically when it runs out of water though Visible fill line: I wanted to be able to see what level the water is at so I can expect when it will need a refill. This basin is not see through but it does have a fill line that is lit up when on. Essential oils: I didnt buy this for the essential oil slot but it is a nice addition. When I want to freshen up my room from the stale air I just dab some essential oils onto the pad in the pop-out plastic tray. One small con is that the tray gets kind of stuck after you click it to open. I have to tug on it a little but not a big deal. Mist height and direction: This one shoots up pretty high and has 3 different height settings. The mist also seems to fall on my left when I am sitting below it. I have it on top of my bedframe. Noise level: This thing is so quiet, it does make some water noises with a very small whirring sound but it is pretty peaceful Hope this helps you decide on your purchase!

I purchased two of these, because the product description hit all the buttons I was looking for: filterless, top-filling, easy to clean. In fact, it states cleaning and refilling is a breeze. Then I read the manual. The very first step to setting up the humidifier is to remove the accessories from the box. There were no accessories in my box, which left me with a sinking feeling that only grew worse as I kept reading. To clean the atomizer, you have to inject 10ml of acetum into it, then immerse it (in what, it doesnt say), then scrub it with the cleaning brush. Which sent me scouring my box to see if I had missed one or both of those things. I had not. They were never included. Thankfully, I have an extra toothbrush lying around. Also, I learned that acetum is another name for vinegar. Or a solution that includes vinegar. Except that the manual later states to add a small amount of vinegar of 5-10 drops of cleaning solution into the water tank to clean the tank, so who knows what the intended meaning of acetum actually is in this context. Also, Im pretty sure 5-10 drops of vinegar isnt going to clean anything, so is there, in fact, a special cleaning solution I should be using? I dont know, but given how grammatically-challenged this manual is, it should probably be viewed more like guidelines than actual instructions. So far, they seem to be working well, but if that changes, Ill update my review.
