> 3 dayIts handy for small projects without having to use a big ironing board. It has a sturdy base and a smooth surface to iron on. I really like its portability. Do not use on porous surfaces, such as wood, because it does sweat and could stain.

> 3 dayI love it, the surface by far produces better ironing than an ironing board but it smells a bit when the heat hits it. Maybe like lanolin from the wool.. Its not terrible just noticeable but its a great value! I have a different brand one that emits no smell.

> 3 dayLove this mat!! And a great value. I quilt and have used this mat since the day it arrived. Excellent quality and thickness. Perfect size - I like this size much better than the smaller ones because it if more versatile. Thick enough that I can iron right on my counter top or sewing/cutting table without worrying about damaging the surface underneath. (I don’t use steam in my iron, I use a spray bottle of water as needed to press my blocks and laundered material.).

Greater than one weekAlright, it does just lay there. But, it does retain heat and reflect it back to the fabric. Fabric does not move while ironing, which means there is much less / or no surprise stretching. This product is really built and wont stretch, tear, pill or do any other thing to ruin its manufacture. You can even stick spare pins into it. Combine it with a clapper and youll have the flattest seam ever!

Greater than one weekThis is the first time Ive used a wool ironing mat. Ive been sewing for several years and never owned one. But, this is a game changer when pressing quilt pieces or other seams open. Ive read the other reviews about the steam going through mat. I use this mat on my cutting mat and have no problems. The 17 x 17 is the perfect size for any size sewing room.

> 3 dayIt is nice to be able to put this on a small stand next to my sewing machine and the heat from the iron does not go through.

> 3 dayThis is my 3rd one that I have purchased, because I have a new custom ironing station and have the wool pressing pads lined up next to each other under the top ironing cover. They work great in providing a solid base for my pressing needs, especially with steam. The 3 stars for value for money is only because I needed to buy 3 of them to cover my top and that got to be pretty pricey.

> 3 dayFirst, the product. The wool pressing mat is very well made and thicker than I expected. Quite solid, so I feel it will hold up over time - (will have to come back to confirm). It does hold the heat well and the fabric being pressed does not move around or stretch like on my other padded surface - a bonus when pressing wool and bias edges. Second, customer service. I was sent the wrong size mat. I wasnt sure what to do as I havent had a problem like this with Amazon before. I called the phone number on the label and the gentleman who answered immediately started the process to make things right. I was sent a prepaid return label so all I had to do was drop off the return and I received the correct size mat in just about 3 days. Now that is true customer service - more companies could take note and follow suit - especially having an actual person answer the phone!! Thank you!!
