> 3 dayLOOKS great. A quilting and embroidery friend swears by hers. It is a really good size for me. I like the New Zealand Wool - after reading up on it - not smelly. I did see there is one that is even a bigger size 24x60 - could do a good portion of a quilt. I will check that size out I have had experience using this one for a time. You cannot use the wool with steam - it holds the water. But I am good with that.

> 3 dayI was a little afraid to order this product from anyone, because of the problem of black gunk getting on fabric and iron listed in some reviews. I am glad I took a chance. First thing I did was try it on the wool setting. No black gunk. It didnt do a real good job of getting wrinkles out of fabric, but I picked one that had been folded for a while. I put the iron on the cotton setting waited a couple of minutes, and it was fine. I used a little spray bottle I had. I sprayed some water on it, and the wrinkles came out fine. No Black Gunk. I dont know why other reviewers got bad results, but I did not. I do appliqué, and this is going to be a blessing.

> 3 daySince I started sewing, I need to iron a lot of fabrics. I have purchased few cheap ironing mats over the past 2 years, travel size, I place it over a kitchen cutting board and use valcore to secure it. Came across this wool ironing mat from instagram and it seems like a thing to try since I need to iron on a daily basis. It was more costly than my budget, however it was well worth it. Everything iron quickly now. Simple ! So very glad I made the purchase.

> 3 dayi saw one locally but it wasn’t big enough so I checked online. I have now used it and it wonderful. The pressing mat is hard enough to get a good press ( quilter) and the heat seems to reflect back from the wool so it heats and presses from both sides. And its effective with several layers. I can highly recommend it and will be using my pressing mat daily. I wanted to add to this review, I have been using it a few days and have great results one with thicker seams it flattens my fabric really well. This is well worth the money!!!!

> 3 dayThis is a 24” x 17” thick and dense wool ironing mat that doesn’t smell at all! It is large enough for my sewing projects. I’m very happy with this choice.

> 3 dayUsing this every day for pressing and sewing home made face masks. Odorless. I am using a tea towel on top of it and a plastic table below it as I am using a lot of steam. Absolutely no staining of the tea towel after many many uses. (Some reviewers of other products have noted this as a downside of some similar mats.). Very happy with product and the size I chose for this purpose. I am also using it to lay out fabric for cutting, due to lack of space, but not actually cutting on it.

> 3 dayI had heard how much better they were then using a regular pressing method but really didnt expect it to be anything special. I took it to a retreat last weekend. It was so easy to just tuck in my sewing case without adding any weight.. It really did make a difference in pressing. It was much quicker and did make a difference in how the blocks turned out. I am thinking about ordering another one to use at home

24-11-2024I love it, you don’t have to have the big ironing board up and in your way! Set it on top of your work table and press your quilt blocks as you go. No hassle!

> 3 dayI bought this mat for 2 reasons. One to use on a table in my screen room while wintering in Florida. The second was to use on top of my ironing board when I am back home. So far it has worked out great. I store it under my cutting mat in the RV when not in use. I turn the mat in any direction that suits what I am currently ironing. I can use a large table to support full size quilt and just have the pad under the area, I want to press. Much easier then trying to manipulate a quilt on an ironing board.

> 3 dayI borrowed one of these from a friend to help and pressing piecework while quilting. These are amazing. They make such a difference compared to a standard ironing board cover. The seams disappear. It is also very useful when doing appliqué. You can pin directly on the mat and carry the mat to the ironing board. I love the feel of this woman. The thickness is perfect and is very consistent material throughout. Highly recommend this for any sewing projects. Wish I had known about it sooner!
