> 3 dayThis product allows you quilt piecing to lay very flat. It keeps heat in which allows for a flatter piece of work. I may purchase one that is slightly bigger as I really love the way the heat stays in the mat. It never leaves my ironing board.

19-11-2024I bought this to replace a woolen mat by another company that smells like rotten food after using steam one time. For that other brand I tried washing leaving out in the sun and letting it dry out for months but it still infected the things I was ironing with a horrible smell. I got this one, have use light steam, and have not noticed any problem. There is an odor of wet wool (like when you wash a sweater) that goes away when it dries and that does not infect the things you are ironing. There is no residue on my iron, so it must really be 100% wool.

> 3 dayI was surprised at how well my quilt blocks were pressed after using this mat. The seams were much crisper and they stayed put, no sliding when ironing. The mat gets very hot and presses from underneath the block very well. Had to learn to not burn my fingers when picking the blocks up. The only thing that wasnt great was when using steam, underneath the mat was fairly wet. The mat dried out just fine, but be careful what you use it on, as it would damage a wood surface.

> 3 dayI have debated getting one of these, wondering if it was just another gimmick. The size of this one appealed to me as I have a small home/sewing area and this would fit great in space available. Tried it as soon as it arrived and i love it. The seams in my blocks pressed just beautifully. I noticed a great improvement with this as opposed to the ironing board. I will be recommending this to all my quilting friends.

> 3 dayI took my new pressing mat to quilt camp so that several people could try it out. I was looking for feedback for myself and also allowing others to try one before purchase. Most users really liked it and some intend to purchase one. Works best with a hot iron - not one in the warming cycle. Seams did not show on top of block due to the thickness of the mat.

Greater than one weekA smaller surface for small pressing jobs. Works great on a table top.

> 3 dayDidn’t use very often but when I started using regularly it left a buildup on my iron. The build up was black and could not be removed. I’m thinking maybe glue in the pad fibers. Would not recommend.

> 3 dayI’ve been searching for a solution to streamline my sewing room. I came across this felt ironing mat on a search and was intrigued. I have had disappointing encounters with other creative supplies and approached it with some doubt and skepticism. The reviews were promising so I decided to give it a try. I’ve only had it a couple a days, but boy am I impressed! The size is great for ironing and assembling blocks, the surface is smooth and the pad is thick and substantial. My seams have never been so flat! Great investment and addition to my quilting studio!

> 3 dayExcellent quality. Portable so you can use it anywhere. Love that it works great for embroidery items when ironing. Heat is under the fabric as well as on top of the fabric when iron is pressed on material so it is pressed on both sides. Be careful with too much steam because the mat is wool. Some steam is ok.
