I repair a fair amount of iPad screens and this one cracked when pressed it into place, also glue is not so great you need to use something better. seemed fine on arrival but cracked right away had to order another the second time an apple made one, that worked fine.

Not sure whats happening. I installed it, before I secured everything down I tested it and everything worked perfectly. I pulled the cover for the adhesive and laid the digitizer down. Now nothing happens, LCD wont even light up. If I pull the digitizer up, I can get the LCD to light VERY faintly, but as soon as the digitizer is secured down I get nothing again......m

I broke my iPad screen a while ago...it wasn’t to bad but I finally decided to replace it. This screen came packaged very well. I have a toolkit so the tools it had wasn’t necessary for me but looking at them they would have worked great if I needed them. Basically the only issue( if you want to call it that) that I had was getting the lining off for the adhesive. It was a little difficult but using a thing pry tool carefully, it came up no problem. The the install itself was simple enough. If you took it apart just go reverse order. If you have a mag pad that is my recommendation for the small screws. But if I need a new screen this would be my goto.

This product was just as described. Once installed, the digitizer worked perfectly. I am delighted not to have had to shell out the cash to Apple to get my ipad fixed! A few tips on installation: * Use double sided tape to stick all of the screws to when disassembling the ipad. It helps to prevent loss and to keep everything organized * Have tweezers handy. The screws are so small and dont stay on the end of the screw driver that well.

***Update- The home button that had me concerned is beginning to have issues. Never felt right and now it’s not popping back up like it should. If you take your nail and press it works but it does not if you press it like normal. Other than the home button all else is fine. So my 1st one had a chipped digitizer and my 2nd one is now having home button issues. The screen is flawless and smooth however.*** This glass digitizer is everything advertised maybe even a little more. Everything you need to replace the glass is included. The kit actually comes with several tools and items I’ve never used or ever will in a screen replacement. This is a extremely hard repair! There is no harder repair than replacing a glass digitizer. I would not recommend unless you know what your doing. It will end up costing more if you don’t know what your doing. The adhesive is adequate and holds as expected. The glass is a little less quality than OEM but with all aftermarket budget parts that is also expected. Once everything is cleaned up sealed and adhesive is activated you cant tell any difference in the screen. Touch is responsive and it looks and feels great. The only issue I’ve noticed is the home button. For some reason it just don’t feel right. Nothing bad enough to prevent another purchase. But bad enough to give me concerns about longevity. Only time will tell. Since the home button does work well no star can be removed at this time. As a computer systems engineer who has changed man LCD,s on computers, phones, and tablets I feel comfortable this is a good product and a great one for the price.

The start button which is soldered on, failed after 3 days use. Obviously bad final inspection. That meant that I had to buy a complete replacement elsewhere. I suppose you get what you pay for!
