Clean look. Heavier gauge metal than I anticipated - also good. I will be using #8 or #10 bolts instead of the provided screws so that it is very permanent. I will also paint it antique gold.

I was busy trying to catch my pet tiger when my foot hit a hot wheel car and I slipped and fell! I was flailing my arms around and for a second I thought I saw a bright light at the end of a tunnel. All of a sudden I felt something grab me and pull me out like I was drowning. It was this latch! It had caught me before I could land on a cactus and kept me safe! Five stars for this hero!

Did the barn door look for our bathroom. This was perfect! Looks and works great! Highly recommend!

Great extra peace of mind

I was very pleased with the quality of this latch. It is a very simple item and I was worried that the quality would reflect the price. I was mistaken. The material is quite sturdy and the finish was excellent. We ordered this latch as a temporary fix for a party but we are so pleased that we will be using it as a permanent solution.

I used this for my work shop door to latch open. We have had some strong winds and it’s help up nicely. The coating and materials seem to be quality.

The rings on the receptor and the hook were not recessed enough to allow the siding door to pass by the door structures. I got it at a Black Friday price. We may use part of it to adapt to a system that will be attractive and also work. I need something that will be easy to use and also be able unlatch from the other side of the bathroom in case of emergencies.

Exactly what I wanted and east to install

Bought this for our “barn door” bathroom door. Easy to install and looks nice.

The privacy hook was easy to install, solidly constructed, with a clean look. I it looks like its built to last, and finished well. The only reason I gave it 4 stars on Durability instead of 5 is that I had to use my own screw anchors. The catch mounts solidly directly into the barn door with the supplied screws. However, the hook portion has the same screws as the catch portion but came without anchors. In our case it was mounted in drywall, and installing with only the provided hardware would have resulted in the hook portion pulling loose from the wall over time. I highly recommend using two screw anchors - the result is a solid-latching privacy hook.
