> 3 dayI own the Razer Deathadder Elite, Razer Mamba TE, now the Razer Basilisk, and my roommate has every generation Razer Naga. If FPS games is what you play the Basilisk is great, you can use the DPI clutch as anything but i use it to drop my DPI to 400. Another good use is to use it to speed up your dpi when you are running around so you can do 360s and 180s instantly. The deathadder is bigger which works for me because i have a big hand, the mamba is similar and has the side scroll feature which is awesome but ultimately the extra button and smaller size of the baasilisk makes it faster. Your ring finger and pinky hold the side... this is best for a hybrid palm/claw grip or a claw grip.

> 3 dayA fantastic mouse all around, as most Razer mice are. The sensitivity clutch is brilliant. I dont play many FPS games, its intended purpose, but even for creative work, fine editing of graphics and documents, its a wonderful feature to have. Very easy to use, yet totally out of the way when not needed. The Razer Synapse 3.0 software however, is a step back from the previous version. Before you could set the rate at which the mouse movement accelerates, and with this mouse and the new software, you can only set a fixed DPI rather than one that will scale with longer mouse movements. Not a big deal, but its still a disappointment to see a feature regression like that.

Greater than one weekAbsolutely stunning are the words I use to describe this mouse. I play alot of CS and I saw this mouse and was skeptical of it because mice like the G403 and the Zowie EC1A exist but honestly there are functions this mouse does that are simply better than those mice. For example the clutch dpi clutch and the hypershift mode for the mouse are some of the best quality of life features for any FPS gamer. As I mentioned I play CS and if you need to pull out any nade I can bind all my nades to either the side buttons or use the clutch to free up the side buttons and instead only use the dpi clutch to pull the nades. Not only that but the mouse has many many more features I wont get into. Essentially you can program it to do pretty much anything on your PC. From opening programs with a push of a button to text prompts. Also has on-board memory for multiple profiles and to top it all of a mouse wheel resistance tab (for a lack of a better word). This mouse is truly one of my favorites ever. The only downside is the slightly higher delay on the buttons, the Logitech mice all have a button delay of 4 milliseconds while the basilisk and most other mice have a delay of 8 milliseconds. This is the only downside for this mouse and isnt a flaw that will hurt your gaming experience that much. Pros: -Dpi clutch -Fully customization on the buttons that literally allow you to do anything with the mouse -16000 dpi 5G sensor -RGB lighting -Compatible with Razer synapse for all other customization needs -Tension for the scroll wheel is adjustable, not as much as the free wheeling on something like the G903 but regardless a nice touch Cons: -Mouse is a little on the heavy side but no heavier than its main competitor the G403 -Slightly worse delay on the buttons than the Logitech mice but no worse than any other mouse competitor -Razer synapse can be hard to set up but when set up it is pretty straight forward -This may seem nit picky but alot of gunk can get stuck in between the grooves of the thumb rest but its hardly noticeable while playing

> 3 dayI have had the Razer Deathadder Elite mouse for just a few months now and I have begun to get what I am now finding out is common squeaking noise when you scroll down on the page with the page scroll wheel. After looking it up and seeing other videos with the exact same issue I am unable to find a solution to fix it. Besides that the mouse functions as expected for now but if there is such a common issue after such a short usage time I can only imagine other issues in the future. For a premium priced product I would expect much higher quality. Sadly this will be the last Razer product I buy for quite a while I expect. The expected quality of products I have seen from Razer recently I have purchases (keyboards, mouses, gaming keypads eg: Orbweaver Chroma) etc. Have all dropped way down. Time to find a different brand overall sadly.

23-04-2025This mouse is a good weight, has comfortable grip and nice button placement. I use it primarily for graphic design work on a mac and it has been great so far, however, I really cannot recommend the software that they provide for macOS. I would probably only recommend this mouse if you are using a PC.

> 3 dayI have been using this mouse for about a year and nine months now, and at first, it worked well. However, after a couple of months, it kept getting ejected, so I had to unplug it from my PC and reconnect again. I had never had that problem with other mice. I even tried a different mouse for extended periods to see if the problem was with my operating system, but that was not the case. Theres something off about this mouse in terms of its driver software. For the past several weeks, the scroll wheel stopped working properly as well. It keeps getting stuck in one direction (either scrolling up or down). At first, I thought there was something wrong with the scroll resistance adjuster, but the scroll wheel kept getting stuck at different resistance settings. Its a descent mouse, but dont expect it to last a long time, and you may get weird behavior from it.

> 3 dayThe mouse feels nice, buttons are easy to press. You have to install synapse in order to customize things like lighting, dpi, mapping the buttons. When you turn off pc the mouse lights stays on and alternate between colors even if you set it to static. I read that only way to change that is to go into bios and set it to turn off ports power when pc is off. The only issue I have is that the rubber thump grip comes off. Ive see some reviews posting about this and hoped it was just a defect but seems like the issue still exist today. Update: I contacted razer within the warranty period and they replaced it free of charge. Been using the new one for over 5 months and never had the issue on the new mouse. Seems like the adhesive was defective on the old one. Overall I love the mouse.

Greater than one weekI just really like this mouse. I had so much decision fatigue shopping for mice- once I finally landed on the basilisk i was so relieved. It conforms to my hand perfectly and its very accurate. I really like the thumb macro button that you can remove/modify to be longer or shorter. Great for specific games where you can bind a skill so you can cast without changing your WASD pathing.
