> 24 hourWish it was a tad more ergonomic… a bit larger scale would be great also the buttons while they work great feel thin and cheap… better hepatic feedback and more premium materials would make this a 5 star mouse. Overall great and clearly one of the best on the market… the market doesn’t appear to make what I want.

> 24 hourStarting off with the good. The mouse is very comfortable to hold and use. Buttons are responsive and movement is precise. Customization of sensitivity makes the mouse easy to use and control whether gaming or not. The bad. The scroll wheel. There are three major problems with it. The first is that sometimes when I scroll with the wheel it will register the opposite direction at times (i.e. scroll down and it scrolls up, or while scrolling multiple times down it will then throw in an up scroll before resuming scrolling downward) and vice versa. The second is that sometimes it doesnt register the movement of the scroll wheel. Ill scroll down (the tension on the wheel is set to the most clicky version by the way as it is adjustable via a wheel on the bottom of the mouse) and it will not register a scroll, and Ill have to do it again, sometimes even a third click is required to cause it to scroll. These two problems developed over time and are inconsistent, they make browsing webpages and such to be bothersome and times and during games make switching weapons (an oft scroll wheel ability) not always trustworthy. But I suppose I put up with it because of it being an only occasional problem. The third however, began recently and is unacceptable, is that the rubber band on the wheel seems to have separated from the plastic part of the scroll wheel and now sometimes spins freely inside of the wheel, Im guessing they had an adhesive that caused it to stay in place? Anyway, now the rubber part spins inside the wheel. Knowing what I know now, I would not recommend this mouse to anyone.

> 24 hourBasilisk is a great mouse with one extremely annoying flaw: the middle scroll wheel clicks way too easily. Its distracting during normal use such as web browsing where Windows will activate the browser smooth scroll feature and the page starts moving. This happens so frequently that I had no choice but to disable the scroll wheel click button and if a game requires it I have to turn it back on manually. This mostly affects strategy games where you need the middle click wheel to change the horizontal plane of the map. For example Anno 1800 needs to scroll wheel button. The texture of the scroll wheel is also way too grippy, it just irritates the skin of your middle finger after prolonged use. Other this, Im very happy with it. Im looking for a replacement because Im not happy with the scroll wheel texture and the button. I do recommend this mouse but some people might find these annoyance a no buy.

> 24 hourBought this mouse almost a month ago as a replacement for my old Razer Naga since the right click would glitch sometimes and I’ve been loving it ever since. I decided to buy it because of its weight (I prefer heavier mouses), buttons, and size. I’ve been satisfied with it and appreciate the extra button it has since it can be reconfigured or used as a “clutch” as Razer calls it which means that it changes your DPI to whatever you set it to. The clutch feature could be used to allow you to be more precise with your aim, however, I don’t ever see myself using it. But it is a nice feature to have. I like the feel of it in my hands. It feels sturdy and durable it doesn’t feel cheap even though it’s only made of plastic. The grip that it has on the right thumb also feels good and adds to its feel of quality. I also like that you can change the strength or resistance of the scroll wheel. While it won’t reduce the resistance to allow you to infinitely scroll like the G502 it will reduce it enough to allow you to scroll really easily. The grip that I had to use to grab on to this mouse is one of the things that felt a little weird to me at first. Coming from a Naga which doesn’t have as much thumb support but instead more finger support it took me about a week or two to adjust my grip to it but now it feels natural. One thing I wish this mouse had would be that I wish it had bigger DPI buttons. I reconfigured my DPI buttons so that they’re “M” and “L” I use these buttons while gaming and having smaller, shorter buttons make it easier to misclick. However, I am adapting to them as time goes on and the more I use them.

> 24 hourFor the people considering this mouse over a G502: If you have a deathadder, this mouse basically feels like a slightly better deathadder but with the g502 shape. Most reviews will talk about the buttons generally feeling gummier, and I do agree--clicks do not feel as definite or solid on this mouse than the g502. I prefer the basilisk buttons though because g502 clicks are about as loud as gunshots in my house. The build quality is solid, havent had problems with it in the few days testing. The stock mouse feet are miles better than logitech, but its honestly not that hard to improve on garbage. One thing to note--I have semi-sweaty hands, and due to the material of the mouse, my hands tend to get a little hot and sweaty if Im using this thing for a long time. Again, if youve owned a deathadder before, this is probably an experience youre used to. Ive used the g502 with all of the weights inside of it, this mouse is definitely lighter, but because the mouse feet arent garbage, it feels pretty precise and nice to use. The mouse cable is miles better than the g502 and reminds of the type of cabling used for power supply cables--I imagine itll last longer. Its also quite a bit longer than the g502 cable if thats a plus for you. You are required to download synapse and make an account to change profiles on this mouse. Why this is the case is beyond me but do note that you cannot just upload profiles to the g502 and uninstall logitechs software like I usually do for the g502. Overall solid mouse. If youre looking to try out a g502 alternative Id recommend giving this one a shot.

> 24 hourIm still searching for my favorite mouse, after my old one(s) retired. I gave up on Logitech due to all the ones I tried having the double(or more) click issue. I love my Steel Series Rival 710, but was unhappy with the overall shape. This Razer Basilisk v2 is okay, but its too small for me. The buttons click very nicely, but while the shape is more ergonomic than my last mouse, the overall design makes my thumb line up wrong for accessing the side buttons. But the main issue I have with it is that it is so light. Some folks may love this, but I prefer a heavier mouse. This mouse is so light that it tends to move with every hand gesture. This is something I dont want while playing a game. A heavier mouse stays put better and resists subtle movements caused by hand/finger repositioning. The scroll wheel is kind of flimsy-feeling too. It is adjustable, but I cant get it just right, but it will do. The mouse is very light and feels hollow to me. Im still using it, but will probably switch back to my Steel Series Rival 710 soon. The search continues...

> 24 hourClaims that the mouse has on board memory are a big fat lie. The app that you have to download must be running on the computer before the mouse remembers the programming. So before thats loaded, the mouse doesnt remember the programming. If thats what the company said, I wouldnt be writing this. But no, they lie. They say the mouse itself has on board memory. Also, even though they say you can have a lot of colors, and even though they let you customize from any color your computer will display, the actual color displayed on the mouse will be bright and not very nuanced. So, more lying. Update 3/2022: Disconnected and uninstalled the software. This thing is an annoying, lying piece of carp. I dont like flashy colors on my mouse, but even though they claim on board memory, its a forking lie. But Im uninstalling because the app is constantly being updated and demands your attention. AND FOR WHAT? My old $10 mouse doesnt flash colors and doesnt demand my attention all the damn time. This mouse is good for nothing. Dont buy it. Wish I could get my money back. Total waste of good money.

> 24 hourI use a pincer finger grip, have large hands, and this mouse is so perfect with a razer surface. I love the feel of the trigger button and secondary. It doesnt even click, it just shoots people. Guns dont kill people, this mouse kills people. Truly amazing.
