> 3 dayI ordered three gaming mice to choose from so I knew I was getting what I wanted. I ordered the Logitech G502 SE Hero, the Razer Viper Ultralight wired, and this mouse, the v2 basilisk. This mouse easily won out on the other two. It looks sleek, feels very comfortable to hold, is very lightweight, has very well placed buttons on the side, and glides across the mousepad with ease. My favorite part of this mouse, however, is the easily removable paddle located at the tip of the thumb on the side of the mouse. This was a dealbreaker for me with the G502. It’s button felt terrible placed and was annoying when clicked. On the basilisk however, it’s magnetic and can be removed and re-installed with ease in less than 5 seconds. It also feels very comfortable to click. The user interface is very sophisticated and intuitive, yet not overwhelming. There is a button on the bottom of the mouse that lets you change between “profiles”, (read custom button presets) with 0 effort. There is also a slider on the bottom of the mouse that lets you customize the resistance of the scroll wheel, so you can get exactly what kind of respond you want from your mouse. As someone who had been told that they are sometimes a little too picky with not-super-important things (i.e. a gaming mouse), I cannot recommend this mouse enough. I will say that I have only had this mouse for two weeks, so I can’t speak to its expected life. However, barring any complete durability malfunctions, this mouse had exceeded every expectation, and I am very pleased with this product overall. Enjoy!

> 3 dayFor the people considering this mouse over a G502: If you have a deathadder, this mouse basically feels like a slightly better deathadder but with the g502 shape. Most reviews will talk about the buttons generally feeling gummier, and I do agree--clicks do not feel as definite or solid on this mouse than the g502. I prefer the basilisk buttons though because g502 clicks are about as loud as gunshots in my house. The build quality is solid, havent had problems with it in the few days testing. The stock mouse feet are miles better than logitech, but its honestly not that hard to improve on garbage. One thing to note--I have semi-sweaty hands, and due to the material of the mouse, my hands tend to get a little hot and sweaty if Im using this thing for a long time. Again, if youve owned a deathadder before, this is probably an experience youre used to. Ive used the g502 with all of the weights inside of it, this mouse is definitely lighter, but because the mouse feet arent garbage, it feels pretty precise and nice to use. The mouse cable is miles better than the g502 and reminds of the type of cabling used for power supply cables--I imagine itll last longer. Its also quite a bit longer than the g502 cable if thats a plus for you. You are required to download synapse and make an account to change profiles on this mouse. Why this is the case is beyond me but do note that you cannot just upload profiles to the g502 and uninstall logitechs software like I usually do for the g502. Overall solid mouse. If youre looking to try out a g502 alternative Id recommend giving this one a shot.

> 3 dayStarting off with the good. The mouse is very comfortable to hold and use. Buttons are responsive and movement is precise. Customization of sensitivity makes the mouse easy to use and control whether gaming or not. The bad. The scroll wheel. There are three major problems with it. The first is that sometimes when I scroll with the wheel it will register the opposite direction at times (i.e. scroll down and it scrolls up, or while scrolling multiple times down it will then throw in an up scroll before resuming scrolling downward) and vice versa. The second is that sometimes it doesnt register the movement of the scroll wheel. Ill scroll down (the tension on the wheel is set to the most clicky version by the way as it is adjustable via a wheel on the bottom of the mouse) and it will not register a scroll, and Ill have to do it again, sometimes even a third click is required to cause it to scroll. These two problems developed over time and are inconsistent, they make browsing webpages and such to be bothersome and times and during games make switching weapons (an oft scroll wheel ability) not always trustworthy. But I suppose I put up with it because of it being an only occasional problem. The third however, began recently and is unacceptable, is that the rubber band on the wheel seems to have separated from the plastic part of the scroll wheel and now sometimes spins freely inside of the wheel, Im guessing they had an adhesive that caused it to stay in place? Anyway, now the rubber part spins inside the wheel. Knowing what I know now, I would not recommend this mouse to anyone.

Greater than one weekWish it was a tad more ergonomic… a bit larger scale would be great also the buttons while they work great feel thin and cheap… better hepatic feedback and more premium materials would make this a 5 star mouse. Overall great and clearly one of the best on the market… the market doesn’t appear to make what I want.

> 3 dayI bought 1 then it started having scrolling problems after about 1-2 years of 20 hours/week usage. Everything else was fine. I ordered another one the same one and so far works well and is comfortable and I have medium-large hands. It feels like a gaming mouse. Accurate and precise.

> 3 daySo, for some reason this thing just does not work correctly out of the box. Impossible to give it 5 stars based on that alone. But once you figure it out, its a good mouse. The problem is that for whatever reason, my computer let USB timeout turn the mouse off whenever it went idle. As you can imagine this is a huge pain in the ass, for everything from browsing to gaming and everything in between. It made it borderline unusable to have it not register cursor movements every few minutes. Its ultimately fixable by going to Device Manager and turning off USB power timeout for EVERY SINGLE USB PORT. As I mentioned, this is a huge pain in the ass, but it does fix the issue. Now that the issue is fixed, I really like the mouse. Very smooth and responsive, and very comfortable. I have no complaints at all. But not everybody is going to go through all that trouble to get it working, and frankly, nobody should have to. Feels like a firmware issue that should have been solved at launch, let alone still be present years after release.

> 3 dayIts rare that I write any reviews but this is definitely mouse that is worth it. I think Razer did a really good job here. The ergonomics and comfort of the basilisk as always been a plus to me. Its a decent sized mouse but even with my hands not being big I still find it very comfortable. The rubberized grips on the side are a nice touch. And the scroll wheel adjustment/tilt features are nice to see here as well. Before this I was using the viper ultimate and the basilisk essential. While I found the essential to be and probably still is the most comfortable mouse Ive ever used in my opinion I found the basilisk v2 to be a solid mouse. I prefer it much over the price of the viper ultimate. I feel for less money here you get a better feeling and better built mouse all around. I kept feeling like the viper ultimate was cheap and the clicks werent that great. Here its all solid. The PTFE feet are perfect for a smooth glide and razers focus plus 20,000 dpi optical sensor here is no joke. Some of the smoothest tracking you can get at this price point I feel. Over all I love this mouse a lot and it is my main mouse. If I had to give it one con/ and or downside its that for me the sniper button (dpi paddle) is a tad to far forward for my thumbs to reach comfortably. I had this same issue on the basilisk essential. I do have smaller thumbs than average but I figured Id mention it. Overall this mouse is a definite recommendation for anyone out there that wants to have a comfortable and killer gaming mouse.
