> 3 day*** General Thoughts *** Having owned multiple Razer mice, it comes to no surprise the sheer quality that comes with the product. It has a very nice matte field and feels very ergonomic for medium to larger hands. *** Lightning *** One of the best additions is the multiple zone RGB on the bottom of the mice, which is a rather big change for razer considering that most other mice only have lightning on the logo and the scroll wheel. It is extremely bright, however since lighting uses razer synapse, it may not be worth it. *** Feel *** As I said above, it has a generally nice feel to it and it is very good to hold. The wheel has a switch to change between a frictionless and a very nice clicky feel. Its best of both worlds and I love it. The side buttons are also really nice to click and feel placed well. *** Conclusion *** Lastly, the price. For around $40, it may not be something that everyone is up to, but certainly worth it compared to anything else in the same price range.

> 3 dayIm a frequent Razer consumer, who got used to have yes or yes, a razer peripheral (keyboard & mouse). this is my third mouse since I got into PC gaming, and I found the basilisk mouse model the most pleasing and complete for gaming due to the extra buttons it carries specially the clutch button (8 including the mouse wheel) and thumb side skirt that prevents my thumb to drag against the mouse pad. In the second photo behind the new Basilisk V3 is my previous mouse Basilisk V2 that I purchased back in November 2020, (had to modify the clutch pedal to engage the button with minimal travel personal preference) still works. nothing of the buttons isnt giving up due to the abuse of daily gaming and my acidic hands... the reason of the replacement was: browsing in amazon saw the V3 for 50$ and I said: Bruh why not. Pretty much feels the same material (exterior) and skates from the previous version, in my opinion its a POS. now what has changed from the previous is, that the V2 have a customizable wheel tension that got me used to a certain extra tension. but that feature got replaced with the Hyper scroll that Im already finding conveniences of engaging the tension for gaming and releasing it hyper scroll engaged when scrolling over websites/long PDF documents. This function is mechanical, and you can feel/hear how it engages/releases the mechanism by a noticeable click in the wheel. plus, more RGB in the lower sides that makes it look nicer. This feels its a mouse that will last based on the similarity of the previous V2 (not esthetically but functionality speaking if you just drag it and dont smash it when you get killed by a scav over 200m in tarkov) Happy little games and scrolls.

Greater than one weekMy last mouse was the Razer Taipan White from 2014, which still works great but feels like a change. I bought this Basilisk V3 during the 2022 Thanksgiving to replace it, definitely feels like a significant upgrade all around. Shoutout to Razer for the excellent quality product! Ill pick the Razer mouse over any other.

> 3 dayAs soon as you plug it in, it automatically starts installing 500Mb of software. Ridiculous for a mouse. Also, the software doesnt work correctly. The pointer was lagging, jumping, freezing, you name it. I uninstalled the 500MB of software and what do you know....it works like a normal mouse again. I cant change the color of the lights without the software. Big deal. There are YouTube videos about which services to disable to get the mouse working correctly, but my advice is to just plug it in, let the software install, set the mouse up how you want...colors, dpi, scroll wheel behaviors, etc....then uninstall the software. The mouse will remember your settings on its internal memory, you dont need a 500Mb program running every time you power on, just to use your mouse. Give me a break.

> 3 dayAs the title says, theres not much to complain about from me for the most part, the feel of the mouse is great during use, its averaging around 70+ hours of battery life. Its nice... besides the wheel. The texture on the wheel comes from a rubber/rubberized ring or band around the rest of the wheel which is plastic and has a groove to fit this rubber ring in it. This ring becomes warped over time and use and starts catching on the back part of this metal hook inside thats supposed to provide the tactile scroll feeling I think (the button causes the hook to move into/away from some notches in the wheel). This causes normal scrolling to feel a bit off, and the unlocked/hyperscroll/free-spin of the wheel to stop working as intended as well. It really shouldve just been one solid piece instead of a rubber band around the wheel. Even if the hook had more space at the back the rubber band would still get so loose over time that it could potentially start slipping off the wheel itself, but even that would at least extend the life of the wheel. This happened fairly quickly to me too, within only a couple months. For the price I just cant really recommend this, youre paying a premium so the build quality and thought put into it should be premium as well.

Greater than one weekMouse is very nice. Comfortable, light, nice bright colours, HOWEVER, the battery life with RGB on isnt the best. To get the battery life to last a good while before charging, one would need to disable the RGB and use just the mouse. One plus however is the charging speed. Fully charges within 1 hour. Overall good mouse.

10-06-2025So I bought this mouse some time around New Year’s Day, and was pleased with mouse’s look except, being a avid razer product user I noticed some things were missing like stickers,1-year warranty registration card, manual, no cap on the usb cord for the mouse, etc. and the mouse wheel was tight and wouldn’t scroll well. then one morning I had booted my computer up and razer synapse had booted up like normal. But, my mouse wheel had finally given out, and the LEDS were all different colors in all sections other ones that wouldn’t change at all, would remain a red glow no matter the color or effect I’d set it to. Furious as I had the mouse no less than two weeks and it already bricked itself. But I’ve worked with razers Support in the past and they are always more than reasonable, and I ended up sending it back free of charge, and another one came via one day shipping, and I was shocked to see everything I was missing that I had mentioned was there for my replacement model, leading me to believe I was originally sent a used or refurbished model. I’ve had no issues since I’ve at least passed the two week mark, also this isn’t uncommon for razer products in my household as I’ve mentioned this wasn’t my first time reaching out to their support. I will update if anything changes!

> 3 daySo far it works great. Hopefully the optical switches last longer than the usual physical ones that lead to double click issues. I thought I would hate all the RGB but its actually not that bad, even at night. Fortunately its not super bright, so I havent bothered turning it off. The one thing I dont like is hyperscroll, as it tends to bounce back up the page intermittently. I think it happens when I move and lift up the mouse, but I cant consistently replicate it so Im not 100% on that. It completely goes away when hyperscroll is turned off, and I prefer having some tactile feedback anyway so no big deal for me.
