This is a sturdy little scooter. My four year old loves it. We got the helmet, elbow and knee pads and the biking gloves to go with it and he feels like he is really getting a fun time like the big kids. And the adjustable handlebars really makes a difference because he is in the upper percentiles for height. He hopped on and it took maybe an hour or two before he really got the hang of it and now he is going going going. Excellent workout, he enjoys it so much and I love that it is very sturdy as well. We also contacted customer service and they were really nice. No assembly required. Just take it out of the box and off you go on your way to fun!

I have owned my Razor A2 Kick Scooter for many years now. Being a kid, I always had to have the latest, or more commonly, the coolest. When all my friends began bragging about their super cool new Razor scooters, I just had to have it. I instantly found it on Amazon and spent all my Amazon gift certificates I had been saving. When it came I was so excited. I made plans to roam the streets in my new scooter! I was pretty satisfied for the first few weeks with the scooters performance, then I got caught up with school work and soon, the scooter was forgotten (obviously the newness had worn off or possibly it hadnt held my interest, hmm..). I eventually got a very nice bike and rode it every day, especially enjoying making wide turns across the street (which was not the safest choice, you kids out there!). One day, while searching the garage for my bike helmet I stumbled upon an ancient artifact- my old scooter! I decided to test it out and see how well I could still ride it. Of course I had grown some, which was one of the flaws with the scooter... there is a limit to how high the handlebars could be raised. I rode into the driveway and as the first wheel hit the small space between my driveway and the sidewalk- you know... where those little wooden bars are? -the whole scooter tipped over! I thought, either Im not used to this scooter, or it isnt very stable. So I continued into the road. Expecting to make a large U-turn on the little scooter I turned the handles and quickly the bike stopped and fell over giving me a minor bruise to the forearm. I know, I know- you probably think Im just some reckless person who was just really stupid with handling my scooter. But I must say, I looked at the scooters handles and thought the two handles where your hands go were pretty close to each other. I compared them to my bikes handles and was surprized. The scooters handles were really close to each other. Now if you like sensitive steering (tiny movements which turn more than you think), the scooter would be no problem for you. But being a bike rider, I like big wide turns. So here is my list of pros and cons. My opinions may not be even relevantly close to yours, but hey, thats what makes it an opinion. Pros: * These scooters make good birthday presents for kids ( I would recommend ages 6 - 11 but all kids are different) * There are five pretty cool colors: black, blue, purple, red, and green * The handlebars have a squishy feel and are pretty comfortable * The metal bottom part of the scooter where you stand has a rough sand-like texture so you wont slip off while riding * It folds in half for easy transportation as well as the handles folding up * The brake located on the back helps to stop quickly Cons: * The handlebars are somewhat hard to steer * The surface on which you drive needs to be pretty smooth (rough surfaces: hard to maintain speed... cracks or ridges: tipping over) * The handles cant adjust to every height, so if you are at least 5 feet tall, riding MAY become difficult... same with adjusting smaller, the handles might be too high if you arent particularly tall * It does require a little practice before being able to ride it perfectly... but I suppose thats not really a con, is it? NOTE: If a stick or a rock is in the path of this scooter and you dont want to bother going around it... let me save you the trouble by saying, just go around it! This scooter can be fun to ride as long as it suits you... Im not really against, or for this scooter. And I am not trying to make you buy, or not buy this product. I just want you to think through the pros and cons before you buy this... unlike I once did.

I needed 3 of these for my boys, and of course they had to have their favourite colour. These scooters arrived at my Post office in less than a week at a overseas military address. Scooters were exactly as described. Adjustable height for the handle bars. Capable of folding up to a relatively small size for stowage, or travel. Why the 4 stars as opposed to 5? This is because the handle bar shaft fits somewhat loosely in the neck of the scooter. I would expect it to be of a tighter fit. Every Razor scooter I have ever seen or handled demonstrated this looseness in the neck. Other than that they are great!

I gave this to my grandson for his 4th birthday at the suggestion of my daughter (his mother). I was concerned about his ability to ride the scooter at such a young age. He stepped right on it and with a little instruction was able to ride cautiously around the room on the wood flooring. My daughter said he learned to ride it like a pro in the next few days. I saw him ride it yesterday and was amazed that he did so well. It is very good-looking - even better than in the picture. It is sturdy (I briefly rode it myself), and the ride is smooth as glass. He will be able to ride it for years to come.

OMG! OMG! OMG! This is what my 5 year old said when he opened it. This is the absolutely perfect scooter for someone 5 to 11, as long as they are under 140 pounds. He ran around the entire house all morning (you know what morning) riding it back and forth. For little guys like mine, I suggest a helmet and knee pads at least. He played cops and robbers on his cop motorcycle. He pretended to be racing on it. It is his indispensable favorite gift of 2014. This was even more popular than his train set which was a lot bigger and more expensive. You know you hit a great product when it can with stand the abuse of a 5 year old boy. It is very well made. I expect it to last for years. UPDATE: My son actually crashed because the handle bars are defective. He is okay, but I no longer recommend this for anyone under 8.

Rides very great and for the price its not bad at all and its very easy to travel with because it folds and the handle bar goes down and its easy to fold and to put the handle bars down. This scooter was for myself and im 230 pounds and the box says the max rider weight 143 well its not that accurate because like I said im 230 pounds and I still can ride it and it rides like a charm. It was supposed to come with a Allen ranch but it didnt but the wheels and everything are already tighten good so you dont really need one. If you have a big foot like me because im a size 13 in shoes you may have a little problem but you still can find a way and ride it. This is a very good scooter and this is one of the most recommended scooter to me, well any of the razor scooters anyway.

As far as scooters go this is the standard by which all are judged. Sturdy and even (though definitely not advised) an adult could ride it they are so ruggedly made. They are rated to 143 lbs. Set up is easy as they fold like a jack knife. Just unfold it, telescope the handle to the right height, and lock it all down and you are ready to go. Elapsed time under a minute. To store just reverse the procedure. It took longer to get it out of the box than it does to assemble. The best part is the kids love these. They can go fast with minimal effort. The learning curve for a 5 year old is about 10 to 15 minutes to be able to ride. In addition, we see young teens still riding them at the local skate park doing tricks. So not only does the product last but so does the fun. A must have for most kids.

I bought this pink Razor scooter for my 4 year old daughter. I thought about buying a little plastic princess scooter for less but ended up choosing this instead and figured she can grow into it. At 4 years old, it is a bit too loose in the steering for her to manage and scares her a bit. I think within the next year it will be great though. It is also a bit too high for her (she is on the shorter side for her age). Overall it is a great scooter and I would recommend... just depends on the childs ability and size.

I love this scooter! As a very tall person who feels bigger than 56, I took the initiative to adjust the height by trying to extend it from the collar because the neck wasnt good enough. While doing that I found myself feeling as though I made a huge mistake by taking it apart because I could not for the life of me PUT IT BACK ON! Which led to the stem piece constantly coming off every time I would bolt it tightly to the fork. I spent at least four hours trying to get it to stay put, but it kept coming off no matter what! I turned to youtube, amazon (which was a huge mistake because the guy just laughed at me), the manufacturer, and seller who sold me the item. And dont even get me started on the instructions *angry face* that just made me want to rip it up into pieces *angry face again* All were no use to me! So I kept trying, and kept trying, and even cried a little because I wanted it to work. I took a break, and then just before bed time I tried to give it another shot which was the greatest shot in the world! I took a deep breath and calmly worked at it. And batta boom batta bing! Yippy kye yay! As Bruce Willis says in Die Hard- IT FINALLY STAYED TOGETHER! With a bonus of being adjusted to where it was suitable for my long lanky arms! Its totally ready for college now! Crazy thing is its only been a few hours with this scooter and weve already been to hell and back in a day! Talk about an instant bond... it is indeed my baby! Now I just need to give her a name...hmmm... lol
