> 3 dayI have owned my Razor A2 Kick Scooter for many years now. Being a kid, I always had to have the latest, or more commonly, the coolest. When all my friends began bragging about their super cool new Razor scooters, I just had to have it. I instantly found it on Amazon and spent all my Amazon gift certificates I had been saving. When it came I was so excited. I made plans to roam the streets in my new scooter! I was pretty satisfied for the first few weeks with the scooters performance, then I got caught up with school work and soon, the scooter was forgotten (obviously the newness had worn off or possibly it hadnt held my interest, hmm..). I eventually got a very nice bike and rode it every day, especially enjoying making wide turns across the street (which was not the safest choice, you kids out there!). One day, while searching the garage for my bike helmet I stumbled upon an ancient artifact- my old scooter! I decided to test it out and see how well I could still ride it. Of course I had grown some, which was one of the flaws with the scooter... there is a limit to how high the handlebars could be raised. I rode into the driveway and as the first wheel hit the small space between my driveway and the sidewalk- you know... where those little wooden bars are? -the whole scooter tipped over! I thought, either Im not used to this scooter, or it isnt very stable. So I continued into the road. Expecting to make a large U-turn on the little scooter I turned the handles and quickly the bike stopped and fell over giving me a minor bruise to the forearm. I know, I know- you probably think Im just some reckless person who was just really stupid with handling my scooter. But I must say, I looked at the scooters handles and thought the two handles where your hands go were pretty close to each other. I compared them to my bikes handles and was surprized. The scooters handles were really close to each other. Now if you like sensitive steering (tiny movements which turn more than you think), the scooter would be no problem for you. But being a bike rider, I like big wide turns. So here is my list of pros and cons. My opinions may not be even relevantly close to yours, but hey, thats what makes it an opinion. Pros: * These scooters make good birthday presents for kids ( I would recommend ages 6 - 11 but all kids are different) * There are five pretty cool colors: black, blue, purple, red, and green * The handlebars have a squishy feel and are pretty comfortable * The metal bottom part of the scooter where you stand has a rough sand-like texture so you wont slip off while riding * It folds in half for easy transportation as well as the handles folding up * The brake located on the back helps to stop quickly Cons: * The handlebars are somewhat hard to steer * The surface on which you drive needs to be pretty smooth (rough surfaces: hard to maintain speed... cracks or ridges: tipping over) * The handles cant adjust to every height, so if you are at least 5 feet tall, riding MAY become difficult... same with adjusting smaller, the handles might be too high if you arent particularly tall * It does require a little practice before being able to ride it perfectly... but I suppose thats not really a con, is it? NOTE: If a stick or a rock is in the path of this scooter and you dont want to bother going around it... let me save you the trouble by saying, just go around it! This scooter can be fun to ride as long as it suits you... Im not really against, or for this scooter. And I am not trying to make you buy, or not buy this product. I just want you to think through the pros and cons before you buy this... unlike I once did.

> 3 dayWe gave this to our son for his third birthday. Hes average height and the scooter fits him well when in the lowest position. Hes young, so there is a learning curve for it and he is still improving, but he has quickly learned how to balance and is now getting down a quicker speed. I bought it because I liked that it can grow with him, and I expected it to last because of the experience we had with our daughters scooter. This last week, however, after having it for one month, he brought it to me with the insides of the handles dangling out. Now, he might have played with it a little, but the bungee that holds them on has now broken and it makes me not trust the collapsable handles. The handles are also connected to the scooter by a bungee cord when they are folded down for travel, and now I dont believe that I can fold down the handles as this bungee is likely to break as well. I couldnt recommend this product because of that. Lets face it, the handles coming off would make it a really awkward skateboard.

> 3 dayI had an A shooter, but it broke so I ordered this new one. My old one was an old one (10+ years old) Comparing this new one and the old one, I noticed: They added a extra set of bolts to the front pole base which gives it more structural integrity. My other one broke because the deck broke in because it didnt have that extra set of bolts. Good improvement. The deck is shorter than the old one by 2 inches or so. It is a lot lighter than the old one - which is nice, but it probably means the metal is weaker. The brake sits lower. They added a push button to keep the pole up. There is plastic covering the folding mechanism. The old one was 100% metal - seemed more heavy-duty in that part. The wheels are different - less urethane The wheels spin less than my old one - especially the front wheel. But that could be because it needs to break in more. (I did lube it up). I might loosen it a bit to see if that helps. Overall, still a good product, but they dont make them like they used it.

> 3 dayChristmas gift for our six year old. She absolutely loves it. She takes it with her every time she goes outside. Both my husband and I have rode on it and it held our weight. She enjoys riding on this more then her bike. The handle bars adjust in height easily. It folds in half and the handle bars can be pulled to hang down for easy storage.

> 3 dayThis Razor A Kick scooter is very affordable and easy to manage. My 6 year old opened the box and was able to get it ready to ride all by himself, even adjusting the height. The handlebars are comfy and there is a no slip grip for his foot. It fits him well and I know hes safe with it as long as he wears his helmet. I love that it folds and well be able to take it with us on trips to a park or wherever without worrying that were taking up too much trunk space. Since its adjustable, it is shared easily amongst friends of all sizes, from a small 3.5 year old, to bigger 9 year olds. The red is a good color for boys and girls. The scooter has held up pretty well despite rough play over the past 5 months, but the adjuster to raise/lower the handlebar does sometimes get stuck. Id caution against leaving it outside during rainy weather as it can and will rust. Since its lightweight, and since its easily foldable, my kids are pretty good about bringing it inside without a hassle. I love the price as a good outdoor activity -- for around $25 I have a riding toy that all my kids can use if they dont feel like bike riding.

> 3 dayThis has been a great scooter for our 6 year old (who was 5 when we bought it last Christmas.) He rides it every day, which brings me to the only issue weve had with this product so far. The back wheel is completely worn--its actually squared off on the bottom. He does use it quite a bit, but I would have thought the wheel would last at least a year. For the price, though, this is a good product and the rest of the scooter has held up well.

> 3 daySmooth! Its so incredibly smooth. Thats what I was told when I heard the response to this Christmas gift. The scooter was ready to ride in seconds and adjustability was simple and on target. No tool required to customize the fit. The board length was perfect, not cramped and not too long. Warning: The brake heats up almost immediately when used, so its not a good idea to ride barefoot - or it might be better to come to a stop by stepping instead of using the break. The scooter is quiet, not rackety like the scooter that was used in the past. The color was a bright and cheerful pink, not a Pepto Bismol pink. Im very impressed so far! Well see what happens after a summer of fun. ;)

> 3 dayIm a college student who decided it was necessary to buy some form of transportation because I am taking back to back classes that are the opposite sides of campus. It just came in last night and it does feel a little small. I am 52 with a size 6.5 shoe. When holding the handle my arms are slightly bent, about maybe at a 150 degree angle from being completely straight. My foot already takes the majority of the space and my other foot must be on the break, it cannot also rest behind my other foot on the scooter. When I was little and had a scooter, obviously I was shorter and had smaller feet so this could explain the inconvenience. However, I can live with it and use it comfortably. But those of a taller height and bigger shoe size, I would consider/ suggest looking for one a bigger size of possible.
