So easy to put together. My granddaughter is a little intimidated by this as it takes more skill than she has attained with her three wheeled scooter. With practice she’s getting better. The product looks good, it’s well made, was shipped across country a few thousand mikes away from me- so no, it definitely didn’t arrive in a timely manner- but that’s just human error- it wasn’t for lack of trying, and it’s a great addition to my grandchildren’s toys to keep them active. I say, buy this one!!

As far as scooters go this is the standard by which all are judged. Sturdy and even (though definitely not advised) an adult could ride it they are so ruggedly made. They are rated to 143 lbs. Set up is easy as they fold like a jack knife. Just unfold it, telescope the handle to the right height, and lock it all down and you are ready to go. Elapsed time under a minute. To store just reverse the procedure. It took longer to get it out of the box than it does to assemble. The best part is the kids love these. They can go fast with minimal effort. The learning curve for a 5 year old is about 10 to 15 minutes to be able to ride. In addition, we see young teens still riding them at the local skate park doing tricks. So not only does the product last but so does the fun. A must have for most kids.

Got this for my 7 year old. He really likes it and for the price I think it is a great buy. I will say this though, their are 3 wheel models out there that both my 7 and 4 year old like a lot better than this two wheel razor. The three wheel ones are a lot easier to control and most have a fixed front wheels which my kids like better. They are more expensive, but I think they are worth it over the 2 wheel versions. Again this one is good. . . kids love it, just something to think about.

I gave this to my grandson for his 4th birthday at the suggestion of my daughter (his mother). I was concerned about his ability to ride the scooter at such a young age. He stepped right on it and with a little instruction was able to ride cautiously around the room on the wood flooring. My daughter said he learned to ride it like a pro in the next few days. I saw him ride it yesterday and was amazed that he did so well. It is very good-looking - even better than in the picture. It is sturdy (I briefly rode it myself), and the ride is smooth as glass. He will be able to ride it for years to come.

One of my grandsons had received a green Razor A Kick Scooter for Christmas five years ago. It is still going strong! A few weeks ago his younger brother, now five, wanted one too. I searched for a few days trying to find one, but only found it on Amazon! Amazon delivered as promised, and the grandsons have had a ball with them! These Scooters are almost indestructible! Theyre great fun! They give the grandkids a break from school work or chores, and they teach the boys how to respect themselves, the product, and the environment around them (with a little help from the grownups, of course). I would recommend the Razor A Kick Scooter to anyone who loves watching children get exercise, learn discipline and respect for self and others, and have tons of fun! It truly is a good teaching tool--and an almost indestructible product!

I bought two of these for my kids for Christmas and I couldnt be more satisfied! They were so happy to see them under the tree and they have barely been off of them since. My 7 year old daughter was already proficient at riding them because her friends have a couple but it was my 4 year old sons first time and he had no problem getting it going to keep up with his sister! This particular model ( The A kick) is Razors classic and sort of base model but they are perfect for your little beginners. The build quality is sound and sturdy, fit and finish is very nice and function is right as it should be, simplicity keeping it a classic! I am 6 3 and 195lbs and I even jump on it from time to time, to get a laugh out of the kids, and this thing doesnt give in a bit! it rolls and performs just as it does with one of my kids on it. Solid frame, forgiving wheels and great bearings make this a great product. The rear fender even acts as a friction brake so when you step down on it contacts the rear wheel and smoothly stops or slows the scooter. The handlebars are fully adjustable and the whole thing folds down at the base of the handle bars making this thing a super small package that can easily fit in a backpack if necessary. Be sure to get the little ones a helmet and maybe some knee and elbow pads because as innocent and un assuming as these things seem, they will trip you up every now and then so be careful and have some fun! Im pretty sure Razor makes larger and fancier models of this scooter for bigger kids and they would be excellent to keep on a boat, r/v or even the trunk of that not so reliable car in the event you find yourself needing to take to foot! Overall, for this price, this was a great purchase!

I use this to commute 2km to work. This distance is too short to bother with a bike but far enough that its worth using something with wheels. A scooter lets you travel at a running pace, about twice as fast as walking, with much less effort. It should also be useful at the start/end of trips on mass transit because its so easy to collapse and carry along. I took a few spills when I was first getting used to it. The small wheels wont climb even small bumps, it will stop as soon as it hits soft ground or gravel and if you hit leaves or sand when trying to turn it will slide out from under you. But after learning its limitations its been uneventful and even fun. Im at the upper end of the weight limit for this scooter but so far its held up well, except... The bearings on both wheels failed after a few months of riding in the rain. Probably due to insufficient lubrication and use of non-sealed bearings. I replaced them with some black 100mm wheels with sealed ABEC 7 bearings I ordered off e-bay (about $8). Hopefully these will last a while.

This is a sturdy little scooter. My four year old loves it. We got the helmet, elbow and knee pads and the biking gloves to go with it and he feels like he is really getting a fun time like the big kids. And the adjustable handlebars really makes a difference because he is in the upper percentiles for height. He hopped on and it took maybe an hour or two before he really got the hang of it and now he is going going going. Excellent workout, he enjoys it so much and I love that it is very sturdy as well. We also contacted customer service and they were really nice. No assembly required. Just take it out of the box and off you go on your way to fun!

I recieved this item and it is a great little kick scooter just as it is pictured and advertised to be BUT, they made a serious design flaw in that in order to save space when shipping they made the handles on the upper most bar that are used to steer and hold onto have been altered so they can be attached/removed for folding purposes with NO ABILITY TO MAINTAIN THEIR INTEGRITY TO REMAIN IN PLACE. As a result of this my youngest daughter was kick scooting down the street and she was holding onto the handle bars for control and stability she inadvertantly thumbed the release buttons making the bars she was holding onto spin and them slip out and away from the T neck assembly giving her no control as well as any support to keep her from falling forward into the upright bar itself and ultimately falling face first onto the pavement knocking her front teeth out!! I was shocked, scared, and in a horrific nightmare as I watched without being able to do a thng as it all happened in the blink of an eye, but upon recounting the event over and over in my head and in my dreams(make that nightmares) keeping me awake OR waking me, it seemed like hours watching my beautiful baby girl come crashing to the pavement face first after busting her face on the T bar which holds the handles. There isnt even a safety device which can lock these into position only a very easily pushed button which leaves any child and parent completly helpless as they watch their child crash to the street!! I am having the scooter analyzed by an engineer and will be contacting Amazon directly to gain a recall on these dangerous scooters!!. My older daughter had the same scooter BUT the handle bars were solid at the top making it a solid T that could only be safely tightened into an upper or lower position and just like this one it also folded through the use of a latch. Razor made a serious design flaw making the handles so unwisely and unsafely useless by adding these buttons to them just to save six inches of boxing material or space for shipping/packaging and is just down right silly, unsafe and irreasponsible!! I will post pics as to the nature of my daughters scooter so all parents will be able to see the safety concern as well as my other daughters older version the original one that did not use this dangerous method to aid in the lower cost of boxing materials for packaging/shipping where the money saved is paid by yours/ours childrens faces and or safety!! I am extremely upset and will also be bringing this to the FTC as well as the H.R. 5818 (98th): Toy Safety Act of 1984 Introduced: Jun 11, 1984 98th Congress, 1983–1984 Status: Enacted — Signed by the President on Oct 17, 1984 This bill was enacted after being signed by the President on October 17, 1984.Law: Pub.L. 98-491 An act to enable the Consumer Product Safety Commission to protect the public by ordering notice and repair, replacement or refund of certain toys or articles intended for use by children if such toys or articles contain a defect which creates a substantial risk of injury to children.
