> 24 hourI expected a chintzy Chinese product but this is a very solid, well made tool made with precision machining. It will probably not take abuse from a sledgehammer, but will work just fine for gunsmithing and small engine repair.

> 24 hourThe mounting bracket is large. In my case, although I like the vise, It would not clear my under workbench drawers. I looked at options, but had to return it. My overall impression is that is a great vise and it would be a great addition to the work bench. For now, I will use current set up.

> 24 hourThis thing is just fantastic. Being able to move it to almost any position for use, is just incredible. It’s not the heaviest duty Vice I have ever used, but for general gun work, it is just perfect!!!

> 24 hourMy wife and daughter gave me the vise for Christmas Ive been looking at it for months I build 1911s and a rs with a conventional vice you are limited too how many positions you can work with, with this vice that is not a problem any more. It will not take the place of a four or five inch vice for heavy work but for 95% of what I do it will be my go too vice. Thanks Real Avid for a great tool!

> 24 hourI mounted this on a portable 1” thick bamboo table in a work room in house. Vise functions well, easy to mount, have been using for a variety of stock work, tool work, and craft work. Wish I had this vice many years ago…. Now I need one in the garage for outdoor and garage work !!!!

> 24 hourThe quality is very good, everything looks and feels well thought out and designed. For gun smith type projects is where this vise stands out. I can micro adjust the piece to a perfectly level plane for scope/optic mounting and if I need the weapon in an angled plane this vise can articulate to almost any position I need it to. The jaws lock onto stocks solidly but dont cause damage. I also like that the jaw sleeves are designed to bite onto a picatinny rail (upper or lower rails).

> 24 hourThis is an extremely well built and engineered piece of equipment. Very flexible, very rigid when locked down. I didnt want to bolt it to my workbench, wanting more flexibility of where I could use it so I mounted it to a 2 length of 2X6 and clamp it to a heavy work table with C-clamps. I have actually used this vice more for things unrelated to guns but it does work extremely well for doing all the necessary chores with my firearms.
