This is a multipurpose vise. My husband has used this vice for a number of precision repair projects where other vices were simply to clunky, had too big of teeth, or overall wouldnt hold the size of item that we needed. He really likes the form factor and that it can swivel, which makes it a lot easier to access things to glue them or otherwise repair them rather than being stuck at a specific angle relative to the table. Its heavy, sturdy, and feels precisely built.

When I accidentally ruined the soft foam jaws because I neglected to clean off all of the solvent and the foam melted, this company sent me a new set right away. I actually asked them initially if I could buy a new set, as I felt that I had been the one at fault. Buy they insisted on sending me a new set for free...and thanked me for finding a flaw they would work on for the next model. Great company and a great vice.

I bought an Umarex Gauntlet 2 30cal, which came without a scope or any kind of sights. There are many adjustments can be made with it as well. It is a great PCP riffle, but it is a heavy one, weighing in at 9lbs bare. This vise is great. It kept everything securely and steady without too much warbles. it is very easy to make adjustments, making is a joy to work with comparing to the cheap $20 vice that I had laying around. I was also looking at a cheaper solution with a vice rig, but I really dont have the bench space to keep one around. I wanted a space efficient vice that I can use for other project as well. I am glad that I got this one. It does exactly what I wanted, and does it well. So if you are in the same boat, needing a good vice for your gear, but not willing to take up the bench space with a dedicated riffle rig, This is a viable solution. It is a great riffle vice also functions as a general purpose vice as well. I recommend it.

I have owned quite a few vises, but this it the best one for working on firearms. Due to the positioning at just about any angle you want, this will make it easier to work on any gun. Now I can clamp the upper sections from my AR15, CMMG Banshee, and a Stribog to make it easier when using a rod and patch, or a bore snake to clean the barrel. Like other reviewers have said, watch out for all the thick black grease on the rotating ball, it will make a mess if you get it on you. They include the mounting hardware, very nice. My only complaint there is no nice cover included with it to keep dust out which would cling to that grease. Plus I hope my two cats do not get curious and paw at that grease. A nice cover would fix both possible problems. Other than those two nitpicks, I dig this vise. Amazon also has the best price, many other outlets are getting $300 to $400 for it.

Be sure you have the table to mount - this thing is industrial strength - overpriced
