I mounted this on a portable 1” thick bamboo table in a work room in house. Vise functions well, easy to mount, have been using for a variety of stock work, tool work, and craft work. Wish I had this vice many years ago…. Now I need one in the garage for outdoor and garage work !!!!

This product was designed for all sorts of things. Ever have a vise and you just cant get the proper angle? This is the vise for you. You can move things about anyway you want them. From leveling a scope to getting that odd shape of wood cut just the way you want it. I find myself using it for all sorts of things. Very happy with my purchase.

The vice is nicely built, with a ball joint that lets you angle the vice and protective jaws so you dont damage the piece your working on. The jaws are made of aluminum and has reversible covers with one side foam and the other plastic. The Ball joint is a bit greasy so if your cutting or filing material on the vice I would imagine the shavings would get all stuck in the grease.

My wife and daughter gave me the vise for Christmas Ive been looking at it for months I build 1911s and a rs with a conventional vice you are limited too how many positions you can work with, with this vice that is not a problem any more. It will not take the place of a four or five inch vice for heavy work but for 95% of what I do it will be my go too vice. Thanks Real Avid for a great tool!

If you can not get it in to position to do work on , you dont need to work on anything

Best Vise

I bought an Umarex Gauntlet 2 30cal, which came without a scope or any kind of sights. There are many adjustments can be made with it as well. It is a great PCP riffle, but it is a heavy one, weighing in at 9lbs bare. This vise is great. It kept everything securely and steady without too much warbles. it is very easy to make adjustments, making is a joy to work with comparing to the cheap $20 vice that I had laying around. I was also looking at a cheaper solution with a vice rig, but I really dont have the bench space to keep one around. I wanted a space efficient vice that I can use for other project as well. I am glad that I got this one. It does exactly what I wanted, and does it well. So if you are in the same boat, needing a good vice for your gear, but not willing to take up the bench space with a dedicated riffle rig, This is a viable solution. It is a great riffle vice also functions as a general purpose vice as well. I recommend it.

This has everything you need to make sure your AR and other weapons have their barrels tightened down securely, as well as protecting the weapon itself. The quick lock mechanism is incredible, and being able to swivel and angle it in almost any direction is a GODSEND. Its such a nice QoL improvement you didnt know you needed.

The mounting bracket is large. In my case, although I like the vise, It would not clear my under workbench drawers. I looked at options, but had to return it. My overall impression is that is a great vise and it would be a great addition to the work bench. For now, I will use current set up.
