> 3 dayI was looking at regular vises for my bench to use as a light general vise as well as for light gun work. This seems to fit the bill. I have used it to hold a couple of small pieces and a gun slide to knock out and adjust gun sights. It turns and twists in all different directions and this makes it more flexible for a wide variety of uses.

> 3 dayThis is a multipurpose vise. Originally purchasds for DIY gun smithing - scope mounting, cleaning, mounting accessories, new barrels, stocks and custom hardware etc. This vise is more… I use it for woodworking, sharpening tools and knives, changing out farm implement handles, de-rusting and polishing, spray painting, bending rebar, repairing varmint traps, and straightening metal stakes. The value in this vise is the versatility and heavy duty applications. It is a work horse and my Go-To vise on the farm. Highly recommended. Just buy it - not just for a gun vise - you will be glad you did. It completes the workshop!

> 3 dayI needed a vice for some simple gunsmithing: taking apart and cleaning my rifle, changing small components, etc. I tried a couple of cheaper, regular vices from Amazon and neither of them did everything I wanted and were a bit awkward. I was really hesitant to spend the money on this. Im glad I did in the end- well worth the investment! Versatile, sturdy, easy to install and use, I could go on. The only problem is now Im spending more money on upgrades for my firearms because I can do it all!

Greater than one weekTHE GOOD: --------------- * OMG, this thing is heavy duty. It is massive. It weighs 11 to 12 lbs. * Not just for working on Guns. Im more into woodworking and electronics. * Very versatile swiveling ball joint. * Torq-Lok accessory pin for high torque applications. * Two gun fit sleeves included with securing pins/rods. * Micro adjustment leveling cam. THE BAD: ------------ * Be careful handling the vice. The ball joint is smothered with grease. INSTALLATION TIP: ----------------------- * This vise needs to be bolted into your workbench. The bolts included are 1/4-20 bolts. Being into woodworking, I have an assortment of 1/4-20 knobs laying around. I do not plan to have a dedicated spot for this guy, nor do I have the real estate in my garage for him. So Ill be using knobs to make the vise mobile, and easy to remove. The included nuts would require a wrench or socket wrench every time you need to undue the vice. Will be much faster with knobs. Again, the knobs in the pictures are not included. This is just my idea. If you want to use my idea, then be sure to get 1/4-20 knobs. This bench vise is 5-Stars all the way!

> 3 dayWhen I accidentally ruined the soft foam jaws because I neglected to clean off all of the solvent and the foam melted, this company sent me a new set right away. I actually asked them initially if I could buy a new set, as I felt that I had been the one at fault. Buy they insisted on sending me a new set for free...and thanked me for finding a flaw they would work on for the next model. Great company and a great vice.

> 3 dayThis thing is just fantastic. Being able to move it to almost any position for use, is just incredible. It’s not the heaviest duty Vice I have ever used, but for general gun work, it is just perfect!!!
