Compact, pleasing tactile feel and sound (like an old IBM PC/1 keyboard), blue switches. Has extensive RGB light patterns with customization of lights for keyboard layouts, as well as macros, using the Redragon K552RGB software. It weighs 1.9lbs, which isnt much if youre working out, but for a keyboard that is hefty, and I love it. Keyboard sits where you put it and doesnt move around. Ill go back to Redragon when I want a new larger keyboard, too.

We stan a clacky boi and boi does he clack. Tl;dr? This little roaring dragon is a fun little attention hog and worth the very little bit of effort it takes to tame. O-rings and a towel did the trick. The little Kumara is like an excitable younger sibling compared to the other mechanical keyboard I have. Its bright and loud and wants attention, and I love it. COLOR / LIGHTS: Its got so many RGB presets I dont think it even remembers what they all are: sweep left/right, pulse, shimmer, fade, pulse, solid color, touch light-up — the list goes on. (You can cycle through them all mechanically with FN+INS through PgDn and change the color of the solid-color ones or the pulse direction with the arrow keys.) The white case/keys make the RGB lights pop. And its got quite a lot to say while youre typing. SWITCHES: These blue switch keys have a bright, bouncy feeling to them that I cant get enough of, along with their satisfying click. SOUND: Its not just the blue switches that make it audibly loud. Three sounds make this little wyrm the loudest in his clutch: (1) youve got your clicks, which come from the switches themselves; (2) youve got your clacks, which come from the plastic keycaps striking the body when they bottom out; and (3) youve got a ping resonating through the metal body when the keys pop back into place. Take all those and put them on a metal/plastic combo body that amplifies like a drum and youve got a keyboard that sounds like a room full of tiny, angry, old-timey reporters live inside. But dont be scared off by the Kumaras roar. It can be tamed! Dont get me wrong, this will never be a quiet keyboard, but you shouldnt be looking at blue switches if you want quiet, anyway (switches are differentiated by color; blues are designed to go click!). MODIFICATION: Heres how I brought this wyrm to heel: 1. O-rings, specifically the

Starting with the positives, this is a fantastic keyboard for the price. The outemu blue switches feel nice and responsive, and the clickety clack is quite wonderful. My only other mechanical keyboard uses cherry mx browns, which are definitely quite different than the experience this one provides! The main issue I have with this model is the metallic pinging that occurs when hitting different keys. Looking up other reviews for this keyboard online, its something thats fairly frequently mentioned, and its definitely noticeable. The harder you hit the keys, the louder this metallic ringing becomes as you type, and itll be very noticeable coming from a quieter keyboard! Apparently its an issue with the springs inside the keyboard, as well as the frame itself, so theres not really a super easy fix for this. Just something to be aware of, as it can definitely be a bit of a dealbreaker if youre in for a nice uninterrupted clickety clack! Also of note is that Redragon offers a piece of software on their website for customizing the RGB lighting beyond whats offered with the 6 presets.

Ive been wanting to get into the world of mechanical keyboards but couldnt find something that would be reliable, that looks good at an affordable price until i stumbled upon a review youtube about these keyboards. Im so happy i did. Not only is this keyboard about the same price as a standard office membrane usb keyboard youd pick up from your local walmart but it is one of the best looking keyboards ive ever seen. You might not have as many custoization options as other rgb mech boards but you also dont need software to navigate them since its done with hotkeys allowing you to make changes on the fly without interrupting your programs or games. I chose the faint pulse/wave in purple and man does it give the whole desk a futuristic look. The mode you like can be saved with fn+win key to prevent change upon restart too which is cool. The keys are definitely loud, think like, the sound of hacking in fallout 4, thats how it will sound. I also love not having a num pad, frees up so much space. Sorry for the paragraph, I love this keyboard. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a mech keyboard, rgb or not. Gamer or not you cant beat the value of this keyboard.

This keyboard is great for the price. Nice and clicky, and easy to configure. Took off one star only because a couple of the best reactive modes when you type only allow this pastel color pallette that isnt nearly as good as the deeper rainbow pallet.

This keyboard is really good quality. It’s heavy duty and has great response. The lighting options are really cool as well and easy to set up. I recommend for the price! Great gaming keyboard

GOOD This keyboard is decent. One of the main reasons I bought it is because of the great RGB, which I still appreciate, and the satisfying mechanical switches. The feet also put the keyboard at a great angle, although I wish a wrist rest was included. The whole package is at an extremely competitive price, offering premium features like mechanical switches and full RGB at $40. The switches are hot swappable too, but buying a new set of switches would be more money than this entire keyboard (because china). BAD A downside, though: the mechanical switches are ridiculously loud. Even if you watch YouTube reviews of this keyboard, the sound tests dont do it justice. The Outemu Blue switches are noticeably louder than even their close cousins such as Cherry MX Blue switches, and this makes it hard to work at night because you are afraid of disturbing your familys rest. I would have preferred Outemu Browns, which are tactile and quiet, but unfortunately those are a bit more expensive than Outemu Blues and Redragon decided to cheap out. DISGUSTING Every day at some point, this keyboard just decides to stop working. The lights all turn off, and this is when I know the keyboard has gone on its daily workers strike. I unplug and plug back in, the lights turn on again for a tantalizing, mocking, second, then turn back off. So every day, I have to reboot my WHOLE computer just so my keyboard will work again. This is not the case with any previous keyboards Ive had nor any mice, headsets, speakers, etc. Its just the keyboard. Most of the time you can swap out the cable to solve the problem, but oh no, guess Redragon didnt want to spend the extra, like, 25 cents to make the cable detachable. OVERALL This is a good keyboard, but the crapping out issue is very annoying. It seems that this is a good keyboard, but is held back because Redragon didnt want to include an option for 1. a detachable cable 2. different switches. Otherwise, though, a very solid keyboard, especially for the price.

I’ve had this keyboard for 3 years. Only recently did the W and Shift Key start lagging. Still work I just need to lift up and press again. Which is getting annoying. But for a 40$ keyboard 3 years of heavy use is worth it. Due to heavy pressing. Both no longer clack. It gets the job done for gaming purposes. I really enjoy this keyboard.

Great, if youre looking for budget-priced tactile, clicky, loud mechanical keyboard. Best compared to Cherry MX blue switches. I also own a comparable Logitech G PRO. It costs $75 more and I cant tell the difference. I like that the RGB feature doesnt require desktop software. Probably less customizable overall than the Logitech but has plenty of interesting effects.
