First off, I am not a gamer so I wont comment on that. I bought this keyboard to get a reliable full sized keyboard with macro capability so I can save paswords and a few other things like that. Ive tried no less than 5 different keyboards with different tactile, linear and clicky feels and sounds. This one is about right for me. Not very loud but enough feel to know its working. Now, the one thing that most will not care about is the RGB lighting elementswill not show a basic clean white color on the keys. As I mentioned, I am not a gamer so the flashing colors means nothing to me. HOWEVER, this keyboard is amazing if thats what you are looking for. Lots of interesting pattens and combos. Take a look at the picture I attached. I worked long and hard to come up with the settings that will turn the RGB keys to a nice white. You use the Redragon software program, then go to custom and enter the numbers in my picture. Choose save to custom colors and and apply the settings. BTW, the documentation on how to operate the keyboard isnt very good. Its out there online so youll have to look around a bit. Its easy to set up a macro for the 5 dedicated macro keys. Just press and hold the Rec button on the upper left, then press G1 - G5 and that button will flash red. Then type whatever keystroke you want the macro key to trigger and hit the Rec button again. Then the macro key you programmed will stay illuminated. Easier than most macro keyboards that Ive tried. A nice keyboard and a nice price

I dont write reviews often, but kinda felt this one warranted one. Honestly, Ive never had bad luck with Redragon Products too. They are a discount brand, but definitely dont seem to skimp on quality. (Heck, one of the first Redragon Mice I EVER bought 15 years ago still works to this day, and has outlasted 5 other much more expensive mice I have been through) In this case, I got this KB as a cheap replacements for my wifes work computer, since we didnt need to buy a more expensive gaming keyboard after one of our pets chewed through the cord. However, she wanted it for the mechanical aspect and customizable RGB. Her company locked down her PC so she couldnt install the RGB software, so I took it to use on a spare computer. I ended up liking it so much with how smooth and natural it felt that I actually made it my main keyboard on my primary gaming computer. It replaced my Steelseries Apex 7, which is now on the spare computer. Im not the most dexterous person, and sometimes my fingers tripped over the keys on the SS. For some reason, it doesnt happen on this one, and gaming feels so much better now.

Building a new gaming PC and wanted a new mechanical keyboard to round out the build and after researching a multitude of keyboards I picked this one up. I wanted the loud clickey Blue switches. I love the way this one sounds when typing on it. Just like the keyboards did back in the 80s when I was a kid. Its not for everyone and definitely not for the office. The switches are really nice and responsive and there really isnt any key wobble. Its got a good weight to it so its not sliding around on the desk when hammering on it playing shooters. I wasnt really interested in the RGB part of it but it does add a nice effect when playing in low light or a dark room. Overall for a budget mechanical keyboard I think youd be hard pressed to find something better in this price range. You can get it with different switch options so if youre not into the loud clickey Blues, you can get Reds and Browns. It comes with 8 extra switches (2 Blue 2 Red 2 Brown and 2 Black) so you can try out different ones. Will be ordering a couple more for my kids gaming rigs.

Hi, all, Youre in luck - you get a two-fer. Below is my comparison of two keyboards including why I picked the Redragon K580 Pro. Redragon K580 Pro Pros: - solid keyboard - clearly well constructed - numerous pre-installed LED patterns, which was important to me, as I dont want yet another piece of software running on my PC - keys felt light, but not cheap - I probably would have preferred linear (rather than tactile) keys, but their linear keys are apparently loud - i.e. for me a quiet key was more important than linear - quiet keys, as mentioned above - low cost - I got mine for $69 versus $99 for the Bloody Cons: - have to use Outemu switches, even though Outemu are supposedly swappable for Cherry MXs in other keyboards. - 1 year warranty versus 3 for Bloody - menu key on lower right gets triggered inadvertently and causes a context menu to pop up right in the middle of typing. While Id like to think this is just because of my typing style, I doubt it. This may be because these tactile switches sit a little higher than their linear counterparts. - While there are several video reviews of the K580, I could find none of the K580 Pro with optical brown switches. In general, finding any details for the Outemu optical brown switches is tough. Bloody B975 Pros: - keys/switches are undoubtedly lighter/quicker - switches are supposedly swappable for Cherry MXs - comes with extras like hand rest and keycaps where the Redragon does not - a bit smaller than the K580 Pro - see picture - plenty of reviews (including video) Cons: - keys are too clackity/loud for me. However, some prefer this. - keys felt cheaper/flimsier - more expensive - not as many built-in LED light programs, and I wasnt thrilled with the ones that were built in - response to questions not as quick as Redragon - Redragon got back within a day (over the weekend). Im still waiting on a Bloody request from 3 days ago. BTW - The brown switches on this Bloody keyboard are linear, not tactile like Outemu/Cherry browns. The main reasons I choose the Redragon is because it is noticeably quieter and noticeably cheaper. I performed numerous typing tests and both came out about the same. Likewise for gaming - neither stood out as being clearly better for the FPS games I typically play. I hope this helps you decide.

Well, its built nice, feels great, types great, looks amazing and has tons of options, and I love it for that, but one of the things I was looking forward to was being able to try out the extra variety of switches it came with. Switching them out ended with breaking 2 of the blue switches from using the provided tool, now.. not saying the tool was the issue, the issue was that the switches are so unbearably hard to pull out, its mind boggling. Yes I was doing it the right way, reviewed a couple videos which showed the tool being used on the north and south side (if youre looking at the switch from above) of the switches and pinching, which is exactly what I was doing. First switch I tried to pull out, the north (again if youre looking at the switch from above) side of the switch plastic area broke, which made it even more difficult to pull out. Now I had to pull this switch with force, and I mean A LOT of force for it to break free. Same thing happened to a second switch, but the second switch ended up breaking apart entirely and I had to bring out my pliers. Now this brings up an issue, what if I was wanting to replace switches to a different kind? Im afraid to do so when the first 2 switches ended up mangled (luckily I was able to replace said broken switches with the extra ones in the variety pack). All in all, the keyboard is nice but I was really looking forward to trying out more switches and Im afraid to. UPDATE: The seller has worked it out with me and sent replacement switches for no charge, they worked with me amazingly and Ive updated my rating accordingly. Thanks tons!

wonderful combination of clicky and light touch. Im finding the programmable keys very useful for quick-typing some of my longer passwords. lighting is fine- typical for this kind of keyboard (i.e. controls for it are a little funky, but adequately flexible). rolling volume control knob is very handy. and happy that this version of the keyboard doesnt have the rim around the top my last one did (which unfortunately caught a lot of cat hair). Love that both the keycaps and the keys themselves are easily replacable (helpful tool even included).. Overall I havent found anything I dislike about this keyboard, and Im pretty fussy about such things. Not inexpensive, but absolutely worth it for something you spend so much time interacting with.

This keyboard is amazing and is great to use. The keys are curved a bit and makes it simple to type and use during gaming. The macro keys are exactly what I need and are easy to set up and use. The media keys and volume wheel feels like great durability. The lights on the keys and base are good quality. The metal base is sturdy. Overall superb keyboard. The software from their website does not install so I am forced to customize using the keys on the keyboard, which is a pain. If the software was better then this keyboard would be perfect.

Back in 2021, we felt it was time to replace our current keyboard: It worked fine, but the letters were wearing off, which made it hard for our 4-year-old to find the right keys to type her name (or just hold down the A key). After a bit of research, we decided to try this keyboard: we thought itd be fun to try mechanical, and this one was pretty reasonably priced. Also, we really wanted a keyboard with dedicated media controls, which doesnt seem to be as common as one might think. When we got the keyboard, it worked perfectly well. We went through the user manual and had fun playing with the built-in controls to change the RGB lighting schemes. The software to modify the RGB lights is okay: It also works with OpenRGB, which provides an alternate interface for setting up the lighting. A while back, I got a little into creating 8-bit music, and was able to set up a lighting scheme that corresponded with the keyboard controls for FamiTracker (software to create music for the NES/Famicom). You can also do neat things like have the lights radiate out from a key press. The built-in media controls work as expected, which is great. We havent had an opportunity to mess with the macro keys, but I would imagine theyd work fine too. Regarding customer service: I recently got some jam under one of the keys, and wanted to take it off to clean it a bit. But unfortunately, I had mispaced the keycap remover tool. I emailed Redragon through their website, and they very quickly provided a response, offering to send me a replacement for free. So that was really cool. For full disclosure: They did ask me to write a review, but did NOT condition the keycap tool upon the review. So anyways, this is a great keyboard with great customer support. I would definitely recommend it.

I want to say this is a great keyboard on a budget but honestly, this keyboard is just a great keyboard period! The quality of this keyboard is so far above and beyond what I expected for this price. Typing on this keyboard feels so good. I cant state that enough. For someone that didnt like the loud clicky-ness of the blue switches and didnt quite like how easy it was to push down the keys on the red switches these brown switches are PERFECT. Cannot recommend enough if you are like me. The keycaps and switches were great quality, but I personally wanted to switch it out with some white keycaps to match my white case so that is why it looks different in the pictures. Overall though they dont smudge easily and feel like good quality caps. Volume nob is a nice addition and works as intended! RGB on this keyboard looks great, and is fairly easy to mess with using the fn key and the buttons above the arrows. However, I was a little disappointed to find out that there is no real functional RGB software for this board so any colors you want to do will have to be through the provided options in the RGB setup on the actual board. The side RGB lights are a nice touch as well. Dont really do anything, but they look pretty and thats all you can ask for right? Only real complaint on the RGB is that the white color is more like a white-ish pink. Other than that every other color looks great. Overall, its hard to go wrong with this board for the price! Dont overpay for a Razer/Corsair/etc board when RedDragon makes a really great keyboard for a fraction of the price!
