> 3 dayUPDATE: 2023-2-20 Kudos to Redragon for reaching out to me to get workable software. Unfortunately it does not scale well in Windows on 4k monitors and is of no use to me. YouTube is a better manual as even that is printed in microscopic type. After using the keyboard for a while now, I have discovered that I do not like the way its so compactly laid out. As I stated originally, hitting the scroll lock, pause and PrtSc buttons really get in the way of writing code. Ill be going back to my old Logitech and tossing this in the corner. The good news is the backspace works well and the 5 replacement switches would probably be used to kee[p it working it as would get lots of use for having to correct my input. Ive also discovered that the brown switches they use are too clacky for me, so look for the red and hope for the best if you dont want the extra noise. ORIGINAL: I wanted a lit keyboard for low-light coding and some gaming. I dont care about RGB features but it would be nice to set the color Im in the mood for. This one is a solid slab of keyboard. Its the quieter brown switch version and its got a good feel and enough clacky to let people know Im busy and not to just waltz in and disturb me. Its got a long enough wire to get it connected and route it out of the way and the built in Functions for changing the lighting is decent enough. Works fine for games like any keyboard would. What Im not happy about is the software being just about unattainable. You can get it from redragonzone but its unzipped with gibberish and special character file and folder names - Nope on that. Second is the Fn Keys are as close to the numbers row as the letter keys are together so hitting Fn Keys by accident is a recurring problem. I have a few weeks to try it before the return window closes, so well see. It’s nice, though, to get a stout piece of tech that feels like a cast iron frying pan instead of a thin plastic sheet. I could probably defend myself with this thing if I had to.

20-11-2024This is a beautiful keyboard and I love the colors and wavy movement of the lights. I never had a macro function on a keyboard before but now that I have it on this one, I would never want a keyboard without it. It makes it so much faster to log in to have a macro for my email address and other log ins. The keys feel springy to me which is nice and I love the volume bar which is a rolling wheel. You will hear the clicking on the keyboard more than on a regular one and I was aware of that when I bought it and is okay for me to hear as I type. I really like this keyboard and the price for it seems a fair price and I would only want a keyboard like this in the future should I need a new one down the line. I play Aram in League of Legends and it has a good feel and response for when I play.

> 3 dayThis keyboard is a excellent keyboard for the price it has many high end features without the high end price tag. The model I purchased had the tactile blue switched with were loud and clicks but that is part of the switch and not at fault of red dragon in the slightest. The keybaord is available in a smooth quieter brown switch however I do not have any experience with it so I am not an authority on the noise level of those switches. The brightness of the board is bright though I do not know if it can be changed from its current rainbow setting. I have not personally looked for a way to change it though Im sure it is in the user manual if the ability is there. Though the lights themselves are high quality and display vivid color. So I would imagine difrent lighting modes are available. The advertised side lighting however is dim and hardly noticeable. Definitely a disappointment but not a downside considering its purely ascetic. Functionally the board is great with the very ergonomic volume scroll wheel and media buttons are something i cant live without. Though I do wish it had a mute key. The macro keys are very intuitive and user freindly. Simply press the rec button and the macro key you want to assign and input your key combination. Very useful for someone who edits video or needs to access certain commands often and does not want to play twister eith their hand in their keyboard. All and all. I give this keyboard a rating of 4.5/5.0 A good keyboard with a fee minor flaws that otherwise do not take away from the experience. A good value and good quality board from red dragon

> 3 dayWhen I set out to get a new keyboard, I wanted media keys, volume control, and wanted to try backlights out. This keyboard does all that, AND has mechanical switches and macro keys. It feels great typing on this. When I first got it, I just wanted to type on it as much as I could, and even months later, it feels great tapping away at this very good feeling keys. The macro buttons are handy, I use them to mute discord or randomize my music (but it does have media keys for more specific controls). the volume roller is a great addition. Easy to keep this thing clean, too, since theres no interior corners for dust to get stuck in a way it cant be blown out. Constructionwise, the thing feels solid. Nice and weighty, its not going to slide around unless you really push it to. the keys sit on top of a pretty dense feeling metal plate. I feel like I can be as rough as I need to with this keyboard and itll be fine. The only cons I can think of, if I really had to reach to come up with them: I wouldnt mind more light cycling styles on this. but theres a never ending amount of possibilities here so I understand they had to cut off the options at some number I wouldnt mind if the legs to prop the keyboard up were longer or multi level. the legs are entirely serviceable, if maybe just a bit on the short side. The FN key being where the windows key was on my old keyboard makes me miss the right side windows key. its nice being able to one hand some shortcuts. not a deal breaky by any means. Im no keyboard expert, but Id have a hard time imagining you can beat this keyboard at this price. Id recommend it to anyone just needing a good keyboard

> 3 dayFor the price this is really good! I was looking into razor or Logitech keyboards and they were about 120 or more and the brown and blue keys on these are really nice. Nice metal frame, lights are adjustable and full Media control too. They sent me extra keys so if anything happens to them I can replace them with the tools they sent.

> 3 daythis keyboard is defiantly a go to if your on a budget. the brown switches are good with providing a feeling that other brown switches Ive used fall short with. I have used any different keyboard from red dragon and all of them come with good sounding switches with them not being clangy or loud. Overall its a good keyboard and the macro switches are defiantly a good addition

> 3 dayI tell you that the keyboard is extraordinary, very good sensations, excellent, I recommend it 100%, REDDRAGONs customer service is excellent, they treated me very well, they gave me extraordinary follow-up, they saved me from AMAZONs irresponsible customer service which in this case was very bad. thank you redragon

> 3 dayThis is my first mechanical keyboard. It is certainly different from any other keyboard Ive ever used. The keyboard itself is very heavy, solid, and stable. I have the VATA model with brown switches. While they arent a clicky style, the mechanical design still has a solid hit as the key bottoms out and there is a click to that. I will be ordering O-rings to see if that will make a softer landing. Overall, I really like the feel. The keys are backlit. The keyboard has 18 backlighting patterns that can easily be selected. Most of them seem kind of silly, but I do like the pattern that slowly morphs the entire keyboard from one color to another. It illuminates the keys without being distracting, and looks nice at the same time. I guess you can customize the backlighting as well but I havent bothered with that. There are some macro keys that I have also not had a chance to use yet. All programming is local to the keyboard, no need to run a separate program on the computer. It has a roller that defaults to controlling the audio volume on the computer. I believe it can also be repurposed, but volume seems like a good use for it. It comes with eight spare switches, two each of four different styles: brown, black, red, and blue, plus a key puller and a switch puller. This is great - it gives me the chance to replace broken switches if necessary and I can try out different switch types. The user manual is a bit deceiving - it has 80 small pages, but it is multilingual and only contains four pages of useful information in English. Overall this is a great quality keyboard at a good price. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to give mechanical keyboards a try without breaking the bank.
