> 3 dayUpdate: I promised to update, so here I am. MRIs show herniated discs in the neck. Neurosurgeon and rheumatologist gave this item the okay, though they didnt ask me much about it aside from looking at it. They didnt tell me to Stop using it, so I continue to do so when I can carve out the time. And isnt that really the issue? Finding a scant 10 minutes to give our bodies whats needed is somehow difficult when I can carve out 10 minutes to update a review. Priorities are out of whack, but Im helping others so theres that as a positive. No ridiculopathy after all, but the rest is still accurate. The biggest issue I have with this is that my head will Not stay 2.5 off the ground no matter how I try. I might mention that I Could have hypermobile Ehlers Danlos - having a tough time getting someone to assess for it. That just means Im extra flexible in useless places (elbows, neck, thumbs, pinkies), and my joints are looser than they should be. As such, my head is about 1 finger width off the ground when Im using this. Original: Ive had neck and shoulder issues since the age of 25. No accidents, just chose poorly from my gene pool. Arthritis, stenosis, spondylosis, ridiculopathy, thoracic outlet syndrome (had MRIs yesterday on 4 areas for the diagnosis of the last one - will correct if its something else - and to get the lay of the land with the rest), disc degeneration . . . I think thats everything. I just did my 10 minutes and Man did that hurt my arms, yikes! I can take a lot of pain of varying sorts, but the stretching variety I dont tolerate well. My fingers started doing all sorts of weird twitching and dancing so I released some of the tension by lowering my arms from a football field post configuration to more of a W kind of position. That was Intense! I have been assigned the stand with your back to the wall and slowly raise your arms as youre pressing them against the wall, exercise, and that is highly uncomfortable as well. With time it should get better. Having described the arm discomfort (to severely understate, ha!), my neck does feel better. I still have the sensation of my muscles being tie downs for my jaw, but it did release a little. Ill take it after nearly 25 years of pain! A little is a lot when you live with this day in and day out. For comparison, I have an inversion table. I feel more relief from this than I do my inversion table, and at 5% of the cost its an Excellent place to start. The inversion table does help with the rest of my spine, but the neck and shoulders are where I have the most tightness and trouble. If I reach under my car seat wrong, I wont be able to move my head more than an inch for three weeks. Ill do my best to return after a couple weeks of using this for an update. I tend to forget to use things if I start feeling better so no news is good news! PS: I got the blue sea monster variety.

> 3 dayI love this little gadget. Ive had severe neck pain for many years. With advanced age, its gotten worse but I will do all I can to avoid surgery. Well, let me tell you...I can lie down on the floor on this thing for just 3-4 minutes and notice a GIGANTIC improvement in pain level. This thing has now become part of my living room decor since it never leaves its spot on the floor. I use it almost every day and sometimes twice a day. Over the years, Ive bought all sorts of massagers, cervical pillows, ice packs...whatever I could find that **might** provide relief. This silly-looking thing is the best. Well worth the money!!

> 3 dayI work on a computer all day and I carry all of my tension and stress in my neck. I have tried so many different things to relieve the tension, but the only thing that ever made a difference was manual massage (which is expensive and inconvenient) until I found this. This helps take the tension off my neck immediately and has even helped relieve headaches. I really didn’t expect this to work as well as it does.

> 3 dayI got mine a little over a week ago. My neck was in so much pain. I used it twice for 5 minutes each time on the first day. The next day I noticed a huge difference. It really loosened up my neck muscles. I have been using it consistently before I go to bed at night on the beginner side. It really works. Im not ready for the other side yet. The positioning is very similar to the positioning my massage therapist uses to stretch my neck. She rests my head on her hands and gives my neck a stretch. Definity recommend.

20-11-2024So simple, why didnt is purchase this before? I use it every morning since I wake up with a stiff neck. I also use it at the end of my work day to counteract the day on the computer. The first few days of using it, I was sore and stiff. Now, I feel aligned and my neck pain is almost imperceptible!

> 3 dayI have pain from a neck injury 38 years ago. In recent years, it has worsened to a regular monthly issue. I saw this and looked at the reviews. Honestly, I was skeptical but figured why not. I try to limit meds and use natural methods for pain relief, like yoga. I thought this might help. When I first got it, I put it on the floor and put my head on it, and immediately thought nope! It seemed hard and I couldnt imagine it would be something I could use. It was sitting there and my husband had a pain in his neck from moving something, so I gave it to him to try and he immediately thought this is great! That made me decide to give it a second chance, and Im glad I did. Now, its not a miracle worker, so if you have extreme pain, it will likely work most of the time but maybe not 100% of the time. You really have to manage your expectations based on why youre using it. For my husband, he gets his alignment out of whack because he pretty much has to do the heavy lifting on his own. Im very little use in that area. So when he gets like that, this item is a big relief for him. For me, I have consistent migraines caused by a careless driver many moons ago. As I age, it will naturally get worse so there are times when my pain is so bad, only a prescription will do. In those case, this wont do the trick but its not the items fault. I would recommend this to anyone who needs that tweak now and then, and to those with more of a pain relief need but as I mentioned before, manage your expectations from it.

> 3 dayBE PATIENT - IT’S WORTH IT! WORKS!!! I absolutely LOVE this thing. I have cervical bone spurs, and cervical disc bulge at C3-C4, pressing on nerves that run down to my right hand, and incredibly tight neck muscles and traps. During the pandemic lockdown my pain and numbness was the worst. I was working a stressful job and getting little sleep. My right arm was weaker than the left, and my right hand would be numb for 30 minutes after waking up each morning. I was scared. The MRI showed the physical issues above; the doctor recommended a steroid shot and said I may need surgery one day. I put off the steroid shot, figuring I should try physical therapy first. I also completed my contract, got a less stressful job, and started sleeping more. I tried stretched but they were painful, and sometimes seem to make things worse. I don’t think I was doing them right. But when I started using this device, I couldn’t BELIEVE how effective it was. Every time I use this regularly, it’s like I’m buying myself days or weeks of pain relief. AND extra mobility— I can twist to look behind when backing up my car without stabbing pain now. IMPORTANT TIP: when I first got it, it hurt a lot to relax my neck in that position. My neck was so tight it felt like it was made of hot piano wires that were about to explode. No joke. So I would only stretch on the floor with it for 30 seconds, twice a day. Then I gradually increased to a minute, once or twice a day. Another review here helped - it suggested to breathe slow and deep, gentling letting go, let gravity do the work, as you are able to tolerate it. Eventually I would put headphones in, choose one relaxing song that was about three minutes long, and use that as my timer. I’ve been using it for about 6 months now, and my necks so much better that I only need it 1-2x per week now, for about 3 minutes. I’m almost convinced that all I needed was gentle, gradual, decompression, not surgery and steroid shots. Anyway, time will tell. For now, I’m sticking to this routine, and recommend it to anyone with neck and upper back pain. Thank you for making this stretcher!!
