> 3 day1-year update: Its been a year, so Id thought Id revisit. Sadly, I have to knock another star off because I dont know why this vacuum cant find home when it needs to charge. If the vacuum is in another part of the house, say the kitchen or front hall, it gets totally confused about where it is in relation to the charging station. Why cant this thing just remember where it is? I have to pick the thing up then and place it down in front of the charger, which kind of defeats the point of automatic robot vacuum. Other than that, it still works pretty much. Update: Im downgrading my original review. Theres nothing smart about the smart feature. Im sitting here looking at a large patch of bare floor that needs to be vacuumed and Im pretty sure unless I intervene and physically move the vacuum, it wont get done. Ive watched this thing cover the same area 3 or 4 times, while missing entire areas completely. Moreover, I dont know if this vacuum can sense my presence, but it seems like sometimes it is always underfoot. Wherever I am, its there, banging into my feet. Also, Id love it if when it gets stuck, it just backs itself out rather than trying to wedge itself under a piece of furniture even more. Original review: The main thing to take away from this review is the this vacuum does an excellent job of doing what we needed it to do: eliminate the daily broom routine. Because we have multiple cats and the majority of our floor space are hard surfaces, we would spend a lot of time sweeping up cat litter and hair every morning. This vacuum has almost completely solved that problem. Yes, we still do have to bust out the broom for those hard-to-reach places and whatever the vacuum misses but those times are fewer and far between. That said, its not perfect. It doesnt perform well on uneven surfaces such as along edges of rugs and mats. Also, the little spinning brushes in the front are fairly competent in their intended purpose, but do sometimes scatter debris out instead of in. This means that if the vacuum has already gone over one area, and it flicks a bit of litter or dirt into that area, it might not pick it up unless it passes over that area again. Im not sure what is so smart about the Smart feature. Lately, the vacuum has been getting stuck more often in places that it didnt get stuck in before, which just means I cant leave the thing unattended like I would like to. Also, the mop feature is underwhelming. I mean it tries but it wont be replacing the mop any time soon. Dont buy this vacuum for the mop, its more an afterthought than something you should base your purchase on. Battery life is good, so far about an hour with suction set to high. This is more than adequate for our small area but isnt close to the advertised 2 hours. That said, ymmv.

> 3 dayI initially paid way more money for the Irobot and it turned out to be very loud and had too many complications. This however was far superior and way cheaper! I was surprised at how smart it is, actually learning the layout of the house by using linear movements rather than picking a random direction and hoping for the best. The mop feature is simple but great for my laminate floors. Before starting up the robot I did a good sweep and vacuum of the entire floor then I let the robot do its thing, I couldnt believe at the amount of dirt and cat hair this thing picked up in under an hour. Overall a great purchase and I say anyone should choose this brand over the upcharged competition.

> 3 dayIm in love. Its me, my boyfriend, and my dog in a pretty small studio apartment. Dirt builds up fast in that small of a space. I couldn’t keep up with the sweeping, not to mention i hated it, and we really couldn’t be sockless around the house because dirt would stick to our feet no matter how recently i cleaned. Enter this vacuum. For a budget option, its amazing. Im sure a more expensive one with more features would be nicer, but this one does the job pretty well. I haven’t connected to the app, but i really havent needed to. I run the vacuum once a day and mop every other day. It bounces around my entire apartment 3-4 times, declares itself done, and goes back to the charging pad. My floors are nice and clean, and it even gets under the furniture where I always ignored. Its not super quiet, but its not any louder than a dishwasher or a dryer or something. It does get stuck on rugs, so i pick up my small ones and shake them out before letting it run. The vacuum does push stuff around a bit. My dogs beds get shoved around for a while till it hits a more concrete barrier, and toys on the floor get pushed around (i do pick them up but my dog pulls them out again right away) sometimes it runs into things a bit hard, but usually it just gently bumps off and goes another way. I love that it vacuums and mops. It does take a little bit of maintenance, emptying the dirt and filling/emptying the water, but it comes with a cute little tool to brush the dirt out of the inside and to cut hairs wrapped around the roller. There weren’t any instructions on how to clean it so i had to poke at it a bit to realizing the top opens up for access to the dirt catcher. It does come with multiple mop pads so that you can wash one while you use the other.

> 3 dayI absolutely LOVE this household helper! We have two teens and three cats equaling LOTS of fur, crumbs and dirt. I’m extremely impressed and satisfied with this purchase. I cannot believe how well it picked everything up. We have hard floors, but this little robot easily transitioned between are waterproof laminate and most of my throw rugs (the ones I didn’t think needed picking up before I ran it). When I emptied this little vacuum I could not believe the amount of junk in there. I ran it two days in a row and the second day it’s still picked up quite a bit that I couldn’t imagine would even be there. The suction power is fab, I paired it with Alexa, which rocks and it is VERY WUIET for a machine (unlike our dishwasher, microwave, AC and furnace units and washing machine. I then ran the mopping feature and this also did a much better job than I anticipated. It did not get up the sticky gunk but I just went and spot cleaned those per usual, no biggie. The microfiber mopping attachment cloth is easy to wash simply with water if you fold it in half “face to face” and scrub under running water. Set up was easy because if I can do it, anyone can! VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS PURCHASE! Will make me feel SO MUCH BETTER about my floors and home!

18-11-2024Great vacuum. This vacuum is amazing and picks up alot. This has been our first smart vac and really enjoy the convenience of turnining it on and letting it do its job. The battery life is lasts for over an hour enough to pick up a large room.

21-11-2024This is our second Tikom robo vac. The first one was a model 2700 to replace our aging iRobot. The 2700 is slim and can go under sofa and bed and doesnt get stuck as easily as the iRobot. It works well for us, except we had to carry it up and down stairs to clean both floors. So when the G8000 came out we put in an order. Its mopping function makes a lot of sense for our first floor which is primarily hardwood floors. The idea was to keep one on each floor. The G8000 arrived quickly and with nice packaging. It is slightly thicker than the slim 2700, which makes sense because it has to fit a water tank for mopping. Set up was quick and the phone app works fine. It also comes with a remote control so you can operate without a phone. Tested it and it works, but we prefer to use the phone app anyways (instead looking for the remote). The mopping function works well. We were initially surprised by the small water tank. But it is pretty efficient with water. It mops with a damp cloth attached to the underside of the water tank via velcros. Cleaning the 1000sq ft hardwood floor takes about a tank of water, perfect for our home. Its pretty easy to clean too. If you take off the water tank, it become a regular vac. In this case it is very similar to the 2700 that we have. Pretty effective. So this is our set up -- the 2700 lives upstairs, going under the beds and around dressers to clean carpeted areas. The new 8000 stays downstairs doing mopping most of the time. Each has their own charging station. No need to carry them up and down anymore. Its been a month so far and we like this.

> 3 dayThis was my first robot cleaner, the price was very reasonable and i was very happy with the purchase. Over all it did an okay job, since this is my first i am not very picky. The suction power is good but not for deep cleaning. I downloaded the App in the beginning but decided to delete it, because it seem only good to keep record of the time the cleaner worked. The remote control is not working, or i dont know how to use it . I think we are doing okay just charge the robot and put it to work wherever. I clean the machine every time after the cleaning is done, its easy to take the part out to clean. This cleaner is pretty quiet also.

> 3 dayOk so I am I dog groomer and I got this to use after I shop vac my salon so it can pick up what is left behind and then mop the floors for me. It can vacuum really well and makes my life easier and can find it’s charging station. There are some things that really annoy me. First of all, I followed the instructions for the mopping, and not a single drop of water came out. I pulled it apart over and over again trying different things and seriously not a drop came out on mopping mode. Then I pulled out these black little rubber stoppers on the bottom of it and water started coming out. NOWHERE in the instructions does it tell you to remove these. And even when I do remove these, the water comes out TOO fast and almost drenches the floor in a few minutes and runs out of water within 10 minutes max. So I either get absolutely nothing or it soaks my floor. Why do I have ti unplug the holes? But why does that let so much water out? When I change the water settings it does absolutely NOTHING. Like I can put it on the lowest water setting ajd it will still drench my floor. And because of it running out so fast I have to refill the thing 4/5 times to do where I need it to and then it’s a mess because water is pouring everywhere and it won’t stay full long enough to reattach it to the robot. Am I doing something wrong here???? like why don’t the instructions mention these plugs or why does the water not come out when they’re in? I’m so lost. Besides that it’s quiet and does what j need it to besides when the main brush gets stuck or it runs over a cord and then suddenly can’t function because it’s “on a cliff” or the bumper is stuck. It’s ok. For the price I can’t complain too much
