I have used several Roxio products and found that after they were aparently bought out, all product keys were dumped from their server in an attempt to make you purchase again, in otherword, legacy product, no support. A friend of mine gave me this unopened sofware and it is not XP friendly, I finally got it to work. I have home movies (DVD) on my hard drive and like to never have found why my hard drive was not accessibe by this software. In earier versions, the Roxio Disc Copier worked great but this one works different. You have to put a DVD in your burner and it will automatically bring up a disc Icon on your desktop. All you have to do then is drag the files over to the icon. There is a little flame next to the icon, click it to start to burn. I have done two home movies so far and they seem to work but I am not impressed. Like I said previously, after Roxio was bought by another company, everything went to crap. I will buy Nero from now on. I am tired of this.

> 24 hourI have used Adaptec Easy CD Creator since version 2.0 I just purchased CD & DVD Burner brand new from Amazon. And now I discover its a Legacy product! It doesnt recognize EITHER of my DVD burners, both of which are MORE THAN 2 YEARS OLD with firmware updates. One is a Toshiba, the other is a NEC. I went to Tech Support at Roxio and started a ticket. It still has not been answered after more than a 2 weeks. I have tried twice to Live Chat - no one is available, though Im first in the que. There is no phone number for technical issues, just customer support. In short, there is effectively no technical support for this product at all. I see at the Roxio forum that the product is incompatible with Internet Explorer 7. Were supposed to roll back to IE 6.0. I have a new install of WinXP and rolling back isnt an option. Besides, if a piece of software doesnt work with the most ubiquitous Internet Browser, it needs a patch, or, it needs to be pulled off the shelves. In sum, this is the worst new product Ive purchased in years, and the tech support is also the worst Ive experienced in a long time. My money is simply shot with no hope of this software ever working. That is unacceptable. When this happens to me, I stop buying software from that company...for good. That means Roxio has lost a faithful, long-term customer.

> 24 hourHorrible program. I read that it will burn DVDs supported by DVD players so I bought it. I couldnt import ANY of the media formats I tried. Itll let you select multiple types, but then throw an error that it cant use that format. Waste of money!

> 24 hourThis product is exactly what I needed. When I purchased my computer it came with Record Now! I wanted the Drag and Drop feature so I downloaded DLA. I had big problems it would not allow me to access the control panels of MY Computer and asked for a refund. I just purchased Easy CD and DVD Burning and it works like a charm. The installation went smooth. Since Ive read so many reviews about problems, I began by creating a restore point then I removed Record Now!. After that I followed the steps for installation and tested it out! So far no problems!

> 24 hourI was locked on my screen and cudnt open. I ordered it because it was supposedly compat with Win10. When I was having my problem, I looked at the paper disc label and there was NO notation of Win10 on the label: covered all earlier version up to Win7. When I went back to support and questioned that, their response was .........well, perhaps it wasnt on the label, but it is Win10 compat. NOT!

> 24 hourInstalling this program on a computer running Windows XP a HUGE problem. After installing Window gives the message that the software will cause Windows to become unstable, and that Windows prevented the drivers from loading. Then sends you to Roxio website for patch. The patch did not work, and their support service provides a resolution that involves editing your computers Registry, a task I do not want to attempt. By the way, the only way you can speak to a live person is to pay $35 per hour, more than I paid for the program itself. Totally frustrating software for XP.

> 24 hourThis product is not even named in the drop down menu on the Roxio website so you cant register it. If you cant register it, you cant contact customer service or get updates. Its a catch-22. You cant fix the problem about being unable to register it, because you are unable to register it. Because you cant register it, you cant get any online help about it. Since Roxios website does not recognize that this program exists, you cant even get information in frequently asked questions. If Roxio does not recognize that this program exists, then why should you buy it? Save yourself the grief.
