> 24 hourContrary to other reviews, this product does work with Mac OSX 10.6. The version I installed from the CD worked, without any updating necessary. The software is easy to use, and the files created will open in iMovie 11 no problem as long as you import them into your library. If you dont import them, the clips are .MOV files and will live in a folder the program creates. You can view them in Quicktime or burn them without further editing using iDVD. I recommend this software bundle. Its a great value for the money and has virtually no learning curve. Anyone can use it.

> 24 hourThis VHS converter to digital assembly does the job using the RCA plugs, I could not get the S-video connector to work.

> 24 hourI am a fairly experienced Mac user running 10.7. I wanted to migrate home VCRs to DVD. Bought the Roxio Easy VHS to DVD product, after reading several reviews and checking that they had solved the OS 10.6 to 10.7 problem. About 6 hours later, my conclusion is: SAVE YOUR MONEY, THIS PRODUCT IS FAR FROM READY FOR SALE. On installation it updates to version 2.01. I made all connections correctly. All appears to start properly. However, I consistently get a failure to save message. Hard disk space disappears, and all appears well, so you only learn this after wasting the length of the movie. Repeating the process results in the same negative result. (The used HD space is also a mystery as no file results from the aborted transfer, you cannot easily delete something and recover the space.) No support from Roxio - just many unanswered questions on their discussion boards. I understand that these companies cant afford to staff a call center, but is it too much to ask that they review and answer outstanding complaints? Nothing - no error (OSS -49) decoder, no tips or hints, just outdated product manuals. Bottom line, save your money, or spend it on some other product.

> 24 hourNeeded to convert some VHS and Mini8 to DVD. Reviews shown from 1 stars to 5 stars so kind of confused. After reading most of them. Realized some of the 1 star were from times when the product first came out. Also some of the problems that people run into seem to me are hardware problems and not software. Figured the developer would have enough time to clean up the bugs. So pick one up around $60.00 which I think its a great deal. Installed the thing onto my 2.0 Ghz. Mac running OS10.6.8. Took only about 15 mins. including reading part of the manual and hooking up the wiring. Pop in the VHS and follow the instruction. About 1 1/2 hours later I have myself a recorded DVD. Cannot be easier. Only thing would like to see is maybe some extra functions such as pause and play etc... This way I can skip the parts that I dont want to record. So I dont have to waste time to edit it later. Bottom line, if you just need to do Simple Transfer like me. This is what you want. Good stuff.

> 24 hourI had OLD VHS home movies I needed preserved it paid for itself. Although it is pricey there isnt much out there that is easy to use. I bought it for my parents to do there own conversion not very tech savvy so this saved me some time in having to do it myself and they had no problem using it.

> 24 hourFor a Mac user the MyDVD app behaves like it was made for Windoze users. Very buggy and not intuitive. I kept getting a message toward the end of a DVD burn A disc burner was not found Code: -104121669 Through trial and error it seems that the disc I was using didnt have the capacity for the movies I was trying to burn. The MyDVD app indicates how much space is used and how much is available, but forget trying to fill up a disc based on those numbers. The Roxio Video Capture works quite well - no problems there.

> 24 hourDo NOT BUY this product if you are running SNOW Leopard. IT does not work with it. I got this in June before SNOW...but just installed it 2 days ago and I cant get it to work well. It hangs constantly while trying to finish up the video after you click Stop recording. If you try to record more than 8 mins of video it never records more either. EIther way the software is a $67 waste for me. The ONLY good thing is that it does seem to be very easy to use. And in fact i did get it to work ONE time for a 4 min video clip I did. I wish so much itd work more. The good thing is their customer service on email is VERY responsive. The BAD thing is they have NO answers for Snow Leopard and told me flat out it may not work with Snow Leopard. May not work!?!?!?!? Trust me it does NOT work. They said they are working on a fix...hmmm. Roxio has diaspointed me very much. They really should give me my money back. Lesson learned..do NOT every buy a product pre release like I did with this. What a mistake. So let me be the goat this time...do NOT buy until and IF they ever fix their software. The latest patch makes no difference. Hate massively!!!

> 24 hourI used this to convert all of my familys old home videos to DVD as a christmas present to my parents and it was excellent. The copying quality was good and it was easy to do. My only complaint was that I had to watch the video in real time for the conversion and unfortunately sometimes there was a conversion error so I had to babysit the entirety of my familys recorded history. Sometimes I had to watch them more than once if there was an error. Im sure that a more experienced video editor could have cut together the fragments with ease but not me.
