> 3 dayI found a bunch of old tapes and wanted to get them into a digital format. I looked up this product, and although I saw a lot of bad reviews for it not working on OSX 10.6, I saw a few others said it worked fine. I have 10.7, which I just upgraded a little while ago from 10.5, and it works fine. I plugged in the software, plugged in the cables and updated anything that needed to be updated and boom its there. Ive already ripped 3 VHS tapes onto my Mac. You just have to let it play as its recording. Which is good if you want to watch the video again right before you start editing it. You can also mute the audio so you can continue facebooking or whatever it is you kids do.

> 3 dayProduct is as expected, it did take an update when I plugged it in and then it started working. Before that it was not wanting to work. Love the fact that I can capture the movies now and use them in iMovie!

> 3 dayWorks perfectly on macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6 For moving VCR Tapes to computer. I couldnt figure out how to burn DVDs but I put them in iMovie and did major edits and then posted online to share. When I get time Ill try to make sense of the DVD Burn part.

> 3 dayThis was very difficult for me to understand how to use. May just be my level of knowledge on the product use all in itself.

> 3 dayI highly recommend Roxio VHS to DVD for Mac. It only takes a couple minutes to install and youre ready to go. The quality of the transfer is excellent and it is simple to use. I only started out to save a few items off of one tape but the ease of use and the quality of the transfer has me transferring every single video tape I have left in my library.

> 3 dayI think this is the first time Ive ever been moved to write a review of something on Amazon, but its only because of my current level of annoyance with this product, and my need to warn others: Simply put, if youre running anything resembling a current Mac OS (Im using 10.12.6) this product will very probably not work in any acceptable way. I have tried it on several different computers, using several different VCRs, and cable pairings. All cleaned before use. And the results are consistent: on playback either the audio is way out of sync, or its in sync but the picture quality is unwatchable. Customer service has been just slightly better than abysmal. After one round of troubleshooting, the Technical Support person lost interest and stopped responding to my issue/email/concern/plea. I am returning this product, and will put my refund towards a proper high-quality transfer device, like the ones sold by Blackmagic. Its at least $100 more expensive than this product, but given what this experience has already cost me in terms of time and stress and pointless customer-service-chasing, I will happily pay the difference.

> 3 dayJust bought Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for MAC to convert all of those old family videos on VHS to digital format. I am using the composite RCA cables from my VCR to my MacBook. I have done hours of cassettes so far, and It all looks fine, but when I play the .MOV file back in Quicktime, the audio and video are out of synch, sometimes by several seconds, sometimes barely at all. Havent figured out the problem yet, but if I cant work it out then this wont be worth doing. Others have said that you must not have any other applications running at the same time, and to limit the length of any one file. I will try this. I am using it on my MacBook (2007) running OS X 10.6.8 and Quicktime 10.0. This allows me to place the MacBook right on my entertainment center. The initial flatenning and saving takes a while (maybe 15-30 sec per minute of video?) after you play the VHS in real-time. Be aware, it only outputs .MOV files.

> 3 dayOk, when I saw the price for this gizmo I figured it had to be cheap and would never work. Or work for just a short time. I waited to review it until after I gave it a fair shake. Ive now completed over 20 VHS movies to Digital format and let me tell you this thing really works! I can now save old VHS movies that never got made to DVD as well as home movies. It has been a blast to watch the old stuff again and now I have it saved on my computer and can watch it any time or anywhere. So worth the investment and so easy to use.
