> 3 dayThe Ruvati RVH8001 Drop-in sink is a great value in stainless sinks! It came securely packaged in a cloth bag and sturdy box. I did not unpack it personally but the contractor who did commented on its weight, heavier than average along with and that is good!. As for the installation, a previous drop in sink of the same size was being replaced--a couple of adjustments on the underlying clips, and this Ruvati dropped in perfectly. With a good selection of holes, a soap dispenser, a new faucet, and a dishwasher vent all found homes. The remaining holes are attractively covered with a gasketed stainless plug. A truly modern design complements most kitchens with bright stainless and square angles. The included grate (dont forget to take it out! My contractor almost threw it away with the box) is a nice addition to a beautiful sink. I would recommend Ruvati to anyone looking for a new sink!

> 3 dayI researched a lot of stainless steel sinks. We removed our old cement utility sink in the basement and my wife wanted a large sink to replace it. There are some oversized stainless steel sinks out there but many of them are ridiculously expensive. This sink does the trick. It is big! It is an overmount which allowed me to use a standard formica countertop. The 16guage stainless is beautiful! The packaging was soo impressive. I ordered it from Amazon and was worried about the shipping with UPS throwing the thing around and having it damaged. It was packaged in a heavy duty box (that we still have because my wife thinks we can use it for something else!!) There was foam around the sink and the sink itself was packed in a velvet-like bag. It was like opening a bottle of Crown Royal!!! Ruvati really took all the extra effort to pack this thing well. It was easy to install - there was a template to use for cutting my formica top and it dropped right in. It is a quiet sink. I love my Ruvati stainless steel sink!

> 3 dayMy wife said buy the largest sink that will fit in the cabinet. This sink is huge. You likely already know about the sound deadening coating and the thickness of steel are great but there are couple other noteworthy pluses. The sink strainer it came with is a basket you can easily pull out and empty into the trash. The packaging was amazing. This sink was well protected during shipping - make sure you dont accidentally throw out the template which is a white poster board looking thing. The installation was on par with any other top mounted sink Ive installed. My one word of warning is that this is a statement piece - mainly because of its massive size. People walk in the kitchen and walk directly to it and make some comment about being able to wash small adults in it or large dogs. I like the size as allows me to wash giant cutting boards and large pots with ease.

> 3 dayWe were looking for a stainless steel sink to replace an 18 year-old composite with double sinks that was fading and hard to clean. Our plumber recommended a 16 gauge stainless steel sink since he has installed and seen the cheaper stuff from the box stores which rust and twist. We read the reviews and bought the Ruvati RVH8001 which our plumber said was higher quality than he normally sees. The Ruvati was so well packaged in strong styrofoam plus it was wrapped in a strong cloth bag with a draw string to prevent scratching. The Ruvati sink comes with a grid that lays nicely on the bottom to place large pans and dishes on. Its deeper than we realized (10) which required some cutting out of the side walls of the cabinet but fits nicely in the cabinet with minimal plumbing adjustments. We paired it with a new Moen Camerist faucet and a new Badger 15 garbage disposal and could not be happier with this sink which fits in with the kitchen layout.

> 3 daythis sink is AMAZING!!! I replaced a same size double cast iron sink and had to cut the corners of my countertop as this sink is zero radius, but it installed with no problems and I LOVE IT! we were unable to secure the stays that keep the sink from being able to be pushed back out because there was only an inch of room or so and we couldnt squeeze our arms up to do that but I dont think it will be an issue. The weight will hold it down and I used silicone around the sink to prevent water from seeping under. I could practically bathe in here!! It is HUGE!! The included metal grate allows pots and pans and knives to not scratch the bottom of the sink and the sink is even big enough for me to have an over sink drain (shown in picture) and still be large enough to wash everything.

> 3 dayAfter researching replacement sinks for months to fit an existing granite cutout, I purchased a Kohler sink, which arrived damaged in spite of substantial packaging. The damage was likely due to the flimsy construction (18 gauge stainless steel). I returned the Kohler sink and purchased the Ruvati RVH8000 and am extremely happy with all aspects of this quality product. I was concerned with the Chinese origin of this product, but was surprised and very pleased with the Ruvati. It is comparable with high-end European sinks. Here are some key attributes which I hope potential purchasers find useful; - Packaging--box within a box with honey comb cardboard, styrofoam and edge protectors, pretty much impervious to shipping damage. - Construction--16 gauge commercial type stainless steel with welded seams, integrated drainage guides - Finish--Brushed satin - Mounting technique--Drop in with perimeter clamps underneath, plumbers putty interior seal, silicone exterior perimeter seal - Ease of installation--Moderate for experienced DIYer This sink replaced a rusting cast iron/porcelin unit and is a big upgrade--matches our SS apliances perfectly. The hardest part of my specific installation was enlarging the existing granite cutout to accomodate this large sink. I also upgraded our disposer to the Waste King L8000 at the same time, which will be reviewed separately.

> 3 dayThis Ruvati sink looks great, but it already (after less than two weeks) has developed a rust spot. I want to replace it ( who wants a rusted-out stainless steel sink??); but you need to send me the replacement first so I will not be without a sink while I am waiting for the replacement. Please write, or call to tell me how to get this done. Thank you, Steve Moffat Dec 26-UPDATE: The Ruvati rep get back to me right away; he assured me that the sink itself had not and could not rust, and that it would clean up with some light scouring. He recommended Barkeepers Friend, which I got , and used; and, indeed, th erust spot is gone, easily. It was not part of the sink, which again looks great. Other than a slight issue with drainage, this sink is perfect.

21-11-2024Awesome heavy duty sink. Arrived packaged very well and in it’s own bag. It dropped into the existing hole that I had with ease. Installed a new commercial grade Delta faucet. The clips used to fasten the sink to the counter top were too short and I had to alter them. This is a deep sink and getting the clips installed was not an easy task. Used a long handled needle nose pliers and long handled screw driver, as the room on the sides of the sink was very limited due to the size of this monster sink. Overall it takes some time to install because of the size issue. That being said, thus is one hell of a too notch sink!!! Oh ya, install your faucet and any accessories before you drop the sink in!!

> 3 dayWhile the sink is OK. I have to take issue with the marketing plan. Specifically the decision to put the cutout dimensions in a DWG file. I was unable to open this file even by using Autodesks on-line software. Why am I making an issue of this? Because I, like most of us, do not want to have to cut counter tops if it can be avoided. So one of my important criterion was a sink with a compatible cut out dimension. I have a more or less standard cutout. Without being able to open the DWG drawing I relied on the sink dimensions that are viewable and estimated the cutout required. DONT DO THAT. I believe the reason Ruvati makes it difficult to see the required cutout is because due to the design of the sink, the cut out is a lot larger that one would guess from looking at the published sink dimensions. Remember the cutout dimension drawing is simply a rectangle. So why does Ruvati make it so difficult to see it by using a non standard file format? And why doesnt Ruvati simply state the required cutout in the published detail? I believe its because many would realize that they will have to make a new cutout IF they have the room to do it. Ruvati will no doubt claim that they provided the info in the special (rectangle) DWG drawing. But IMO its a fig leaf. Dont buy unless you verify the cutout dimension first.

20-11-2024We ordered this particular Ruvati single bowl sink after looking through quite a few options all over the internet and in stores. This one appeared very stylish and well-made. The price was very reasonable too. And it was exactly what we wanted. The sink looks even better in real life. High quality stainless steel combined with contemporary style make it a perfect fit for our kitchen. We have been using it for a couple of months now and I should say that it is also very easy to maintain. It didnt lose color and didnt get any stains or scratches. Love it!!! Also, I should mention that it arrived very fast and in a very nice solid box to prevent any damage during shipping. I absolutely recommend it to everybody. Great product!
