> 3 dayThe sink is remarkable. Before viewing this sink, I had no idea that a sink could ever be described as stylish. This one is (-: Its also very functional as its 10 depth prevents water splashing back onto the mirrored splashback each time the faucet is turned on which is what was happening with the previous sink. I thought that I was going to toss the bottom grid into the trash as I couldnt imagine a use for it. But I rarely ever take it out as the sink can be cleaned with the pull-out faucet (a pull-out faucet is necessary if you plan to install this sink or keeping it clean and free of debris would be a hassle). I had to drill a 5th hole as wanted to accomodate a single-hole faucet, a dishwasher airgap, a garbage disposer air switch, a soap dispenser, as well as a smaller faucet for drinking water from the under-sink water filtration system. I used a stepped drill bit which made that task much easier. I never received a template and customer service never responded to phone or email messages so I took the cutout measurements given here by a Ruvatti eemployee and used those to cut out a larger hole in my granite sink. These measurements were wrong and I struggled to get the sink into the cutout space and had to re-cut 3/4 off 3 sides to accomplish this. Awkward and damaged the granite. Aside from this installation problem and one caused by the fact that my sink base cabinet was 3 too narrow and I had to cut out the side of it and put in position a new cabinet side to support the granite overhead, reduce the size of a drawer and a cabinet door. All worth it to have this sink now in place!

Greater than one weekJust got this installed and I LOOOOVE it. Our previous double basin sink had curved corners and I was concerned that we might need to cut back the counter to fit this big guy, but it slipped right into place. The counter clips arent easy to attach due to tight clearances in a 36 inch cabinet--(be sure to attach the clips to the sink itself before you set the sink in place)-- but as others mentioned, some wood blocking makes the ones at the back edge more stable. This sink is so much bigger and more functional than our old one that I can hardly get over the fact that it doesnt occupy any more cabinet space. If you wanted, you could easily bathe two preschoolers in it at the same time.

13-04-2025My home was built in 1927 and my kitchen is very small. This sink was installed in a 24 cabinet base. The installer had to remove a portion of the inside cabinet wall to install this sink but well worth the extra expense. My goal was to have the largest sink possible in this small space. This sink is deep and has straight sides making it look larger than it actually is. While this is a very contemporary and industrial looking sink it fits the style of my new kitchen very well with a stainless steel and black range and black fridge and dishwasher. This sink is sturdy and the 16 gauge stainless steel contributes to the sturdiness. I love the rinsing grid because I can wash large pots in the deep sink and leave them to dry overnight no longer requiring a dish drainer on the counter giving the kitchen a cleaner look. A garbage disposal was easily installed with this sink. Highly satisfied.

> 3 dayMy first clue was the packaging. Double boxed with lots of molded foam all around each box. Second was the silky nylon draw-string bag the actual sink was in (to avoid scratches, I presume). The sink itself is heavy duty stainless steel with sound deadening pads on all sides and bottom. Beautiful fit and finish. Love the (almost) flat bottom - big items dont teeter around. Itll hold an entire half of my BBQ grill grate for soaking and have room left over for the tools! We dont have the drainage problems that others have mentioned - its almost flat on the bottom but we mounted the counter top with a slight slope to the rear and only occasionally have to push a little water to the drain with a sponge. The large strainer drain is a bonus as is the stainless steel rack - which keeps large heavy items from dinging the sink AND functions as an ideal drying rack! The only negative is the counter top clamping system. No instructions were included as to how to install them and once we figured it out, upon tightening, they tilted until the heads of the tightening screws were jammed against the sink sides and we couldnt get a wrench on them. Ended up with some wooden shims to keep them vertical. Its a large sink - space around it under the cabinet is limited - and I would recommend installing it in the countertop first before dropping the top on the cabinets. You really only need 4 to 6 or so of the clamps (it has 12) - we set our sink in a big wad of Plumbers Putty and its not moved With the above caveats, I would recommend to anyone!

> 3 dayOur old enameled cast-iron two bowl undermount sink was falling and it wasnt worth remounting it -- 130 lbs, easy to stain, hard to clean, two bowls were both too small to wash a large pan. Our handyman recommended a single bowl stainless and based on some reviews on line we found this Ruvati, made in the USA. He installed it easily (taking out the old one was the bulk of the work) since its an overmount. Its easier to clean, mostly spraying down and a good run with a brush. The rack in the model is good to hold dishes so water drains below them, and they stay flat instead of tilted to the sink (which grades to the drain). The best part is the large, single bowl -- I can wash roasting pans and large fry pans in there without any problems now! Wonderful! In this day and age of dishwashers being more water-efficient, a two bowl sink no longer makes sense. This is the way to go for a modern sink! It also matches our stainless steel appliances.

> 3 dayUnboxing this sink was a treat, it was like an Apple unboxing. :) The box is huge and marked on the putside, but then there is an inside box that is well padded and the sink is then inside a black fabric bag. Installation was a cinch as we were replacing an old two basin 8 deep sink. I did have to saw out the corners as they were curved and not squared. Sink clips were actually not a problem of three of the sides, but the rear clips didnt make great contact for me. I am going to try and get something together to help them clamp down properly. Also, only 2 clips per side, but I feel that the rear (where the faucet goes) could use a couple more to prevent flexing from tall faucets/sprayers. I specifically looked for 16ga sinks to try and alleviate this flexing, but since our faucet is 28 at the peak it still can flex when trying to spray out the far corners. Drain, strainer, and plug are included and look very nice and thought out. We have a disposal so we arent using it. Three of the 4 holes came with plugs that match the sink. Yes, it is expensive compared to some other single basin sinks, but the heavy gauge, clean construction, and attention to detail are hard to beat.

17-04-2025I was very delighted to have found a single bowl sink with precut 4 holes. Good quality steel. Its a good heavy weight 40pounder for me to lift up into sink frame. It arrived in tripple packaged box. I was surprised how well it was packaged, and I appreciate that. This is my first DIY project in the kitchen, and I think I should have hired a professional. But regardless, I managed to cut out the tiles to make room. The card board model 33x22 included in it was bit misleading. After I removed the old two bowls sink, the card board model fit in the frame perfectly. I thought that is the size of the sink; however, the new sink would not slide down. I had to cut out two inches of left and right and half inch off back and front of my tile counter. and cut some wood frames all around. I had to buy all the tools ... and it was a great learning experience. Now that I got my beautiful sink in, the problem is I cannot place the new Grainger Badger 1 (11-1/2 length from mount) in. The sink is deeper than the two bowls, of course, didnt think about that. After two weeks of struggle, tonight I decided that it is going to be a sink without a garbage disposer. ( Garbage disposer also had a defect around the mount and would not lock --Not purchased from Amazon--so that doesnt help either.) So, I got Ruvatis sink flange in, and I am ready to connect some PVC pipes, and I hope to use the sink by this Saturday. Crossing my fingers! I wished they make the Sink hole toward the front. Then, it wouldnt butt head with the drain pipes, etc. and I would have been able to install the garbage disposer unit.

> 3 dayAfter doing a LOT of research on stainless steel sinks, and having thrown out our fair share of expensive 18 gauge sinks from box retailers because they rusted, dented, and scratched under normal use, we chose the Ruvati because its a high-quality product at a reasonable price. After 10 months of use, it has held up exceedingly well. Pros: 16 gauge stainless is commercial grade; thats as good as it gets The RVH8000 is HUGE but fits in a typical cut-out; you can soak large pots, pans and trays Its heavy! No need for undermount clips because the weight of the unit + silicon sealant will hold it in place Easy to install (and Im not a plumber) Well insulated; its quiet and holds the temp well when washing in hot water Bottom rack protects the sink from damage Packaging is excellent; the cardboard box is as impressive as the sink Still looks new after almost a year of use Cons: If you scrape food off your plate anywhere other than over the disposal opening, youll spend a lot of time with the sprayer getting it all down. Even when draining a full sink, youll still have food particles that wont go down without extra effort. And dont even think of dumping noodles or beans in the sink with the rack in place; major water games to get everything in the disposal. If Ruvati would change the pitch of the base a few degrees, it would be a perfect sink. If you are looking for a sink that will last for years, can handle large pots and pans, and dont mind the hassle of the low-slope basin that requires a lot of spraying to clean/drain, youll be very pleased with the Ruvati.
