Greater than one weekI am using this item to secure my dogs car seat/booster seat. The lap belt of my rear seat hooks into her car seat. I liked that I could actually lock the belt nice and tight so in case of an accident, her seat would be as immobile as possible. This way, in an accident, I know the lap belt is locked, and I dont have to depend on seat belt locking itself.l Also, the lock mechanism for the belt release button is also handy in case I am in the back seat, wrangling groceries and packages, and accidentally hit the belt release buttons. This is a great invention, and I wish I would have found it when caring for my grandfather who had dementia. I cant tell you how many times I would slow down the car to park, and he would be releasing his seat belt and trying to get out of a still moving car. I did have a little trouble getting the belt locking clip on my seatbelt. (I have a 2018 or 2019 Buick Encore). I took a little trial and error, but after about 5 minutes, I locked it where I wanted it.

> 3 dayI like that when it works IT WORKS!! My son hates this thing, because he knows he’s stuck when we use it! My son is 7, autistic, and VERY STRONG. He’s been unbuckling himself causing a very unsafe situation for over a month.. and I’m very glad to have found this!

> 3 dayI have autistic 5 year old twins that wouldn’t leave on their seatbelt at all, I switched them multiple car seats and nothing worked until I got these locks they work wonders. The first couple of times they cried a lot but finally got used to them and now understand it’s for safety!

> 3 dayI returned because I could not get the strap or second piece to close around my belt material. The piece that covers the ejection button works great but if it is the only piece you use, other companies sell for less and include a key like option. This does not—you supply the key to unlock. The option to have the belt be unable to stretch was why I wanted to try this product. My son couldn’t unbuckle with the ejection cover but was able to extend the belt until he could step out. I was able to get a refund without returning the product.

Greater than one weekOur 16 year old with special needs had been riding in a car seat for well over 10 years, lately because he couldnt unbuckle it. He started letting us know he was too big for it so we found an alternative to keep him safely buckled. Its simple and effective. Pro tip: lock the seatbelt so your kid cant wiggle themselves out. We keep at least two in the car, one for him and one so we can keep him from unbuckling the loud and complainy one sitting next to him.

24-11-2024I have a 6 year old autistic son and he likes to put his seatbelts on before leaving and off when I park on his own. He found this contraption and placed it backwards. I had to snug the flattest key in to unbuckle my kid. Fortunately, he didnt lose his mind because the seatbelts wouldnt unfasten and the belt was getting tight.

> 3 dayIt’s great for toddlers that like to unbuckle the seat belt. My toddler son has tried many times & couldn’t unbuckle it. I love it & now don’t have to worry if he’s going to unbuckle the seat belt while I’m driving.!
