SAMSUNG 860 QVO 1TB Solid State Drive (MZ-76Q1T0B/AM) V-NAND, SATA 6Gb/s, Quality and Value Optimized SSD

Use it to upgrade my PS4 SATA Drive.

With modern games storage space and read speed is important. Once the game is installed, writes usually arent as frequent, so saving a few $$ with the QVO makes sense. I bought this to replace a 500G SSD game drive that was filling up. Samsung hasnt disappointed me yet, Ive bought NVME and 2.5 SSDs drives from them and so far have been happy.

I have always heard about about the SSD and how fast and smooth but never experienced one until today WOW what a difference and the Samsung 1tb makes me want to move up to larger ones

My computer flies now. I did need an adapter to make this form factor install on my desktop. But easy to format and install onto.

I buy the SSD for USD $88 with 1 TB of capacity. It was an excellent price for the quality and capacity.

Received drive in a small protective factory box from Samsung with a small book that I ignored. Based on previous reviews I knew that I needed to format the drive before it would be visible/usable. I downloaded the Data Migration tool from the Samsung website. It is simple drive cloning software. I used a SATA to USB cable that I already had. The cable does not come with the drive, and must be purchased separately. Data migration completed over the course of a couple of hours. Once completed I had a fast and quiet drive.

Replaced my HDD in Lenovo Ideapad. Old system was getting really slow. Cloned the old drive to the SSD and the system is much faster.

Excellent SSD drive.

Significant boot speed increase. Great load times on games. Windows overall snappier.
