Took 30 mins via 3 different software until this drive was detected. Im not sure if it was the Windows side or Samsung side but the installation and formatting was a pain. Sigh. The software I finally used to make it work was MiniTool Partition Wizard. But the odd thing was that I only installed it and the drive was detected. I didnt even launch the application.

Did not come with a sata cable. Maybe it is on me for expecting it to come with a cable, but I found it annoying to wait another 2 days to install the drive.

Samsung Magician will not / can not complete a SMART scan on drive. Log Generates: Option: Extended (even though I attempt to run a short test) Status: Aborted by unknown error ({0}) (2) Power on Hours: 3093 Failing LBA: 0x0 Windows 10 fails to read contents of the drive (although Windows still recognizes it and the NTFS partition while showing the root folders). Full Diagnostic Scan would not run reliably (after over 16 hours, the scan had still not complete a third of the drive). I am quickly discovering the inconvenience of Samsungs RMA / Warranty process. RAPID mode is not functioning as intended due to system internal errors. Please disable RAPID mode.

This Little SSD Is Just Amazing!!! I previously had a 1TB WD HHD and started to notice my computer slowing down considerably. Unaware of what the cause of this was I decided to boot up my computer and look at task manager to see what was holding things up and right away I noticed my HHD maxed out at a 100% so I knew right away that it needed to be upgraded. Once I received the product is was a very easy setup you simply just use Samsungs data migration software that is very user friendly and gives you step by step directions. The one thing that is worth noting is that it is very helpful to purchase a USB 3.0 to 2.5 SATA HDD/SSD Cable (Around $10) this will help speed up the process realtivley quickly as you can clone the SSD before hand so you can easily take the computer apart and just swap drives.

Used this hard drive to upgrade my old laptop and makes all the difference. Boot up is almost instantaneous and when paired with a RAM upgrade my 5 year old computer basically competes with brand new laptops on the market. Super easy install, just popped right in where the old SATA was and it was off to the races.

One of the best SSD in terms of Storage for money value when it comes on sales. With Samsung products you can expect quality and this thing follows that mentality perfectly. I have this SSD in my PC for quite a while now and it works great and load my games super quick.
