> 3 dayThe Samsung 860 QVO SSDS were introduced toward the end of 2018 as a low cost entry level series that utilizes four bit per cell (QLC) NAND flash memory with capacities starting at 1 tb, 2tb and 4tb. The use of QLC allows Samsung to scale out the capacity of SSD while keeping their costs lower. At the moment, the QVO sits at the lower range followed by EVO and Pro series. The entire line has similar hardware of Samsungs MJX SSD controller and their 64-layer 3D NAND. This particular 1 tb model measures 7mm with sequential reads of 550mb/s with sequential writes running at around 80mb/s with the durability rated at 300gb per day. For most consumers, this should suffice especially if your looking for a larger capacity ssd at a lower price point but you will be sacrificing write speeds. The warranty is 3 years compared to the EVO and Pro which offer 5 years. If the EVO and Pro lines are any indicators of durability then I would have no concerns regarding the quality of this drive in comparison. I have used Samsung products since their first SSDs and they are some of the most reliable ones offered in the industry. With that said, if quality and durability are your main concern Samsung is an easy recommendation, but if your looking for higher performance I would strongly recommend their EVO and Pro lines instead. continues with Samsungs launch of their first consumer SATA SSD with QLC NAND. The new 860 QVO establishes a new entry-level tier in Samsungs highly successful SSD product family. Unlike previous low-end offerings like the 750 EVO and the plain 850, the 860 QV

> 3 dayI thought I read somewhere that Samsung Magician doesnt work with the QVO series, BUT there was a nice piece of paper in the box about downloading Samsung Magician! So I got excited and tried it, for a few minutes I was trying to diagnose the problem why the software showed as inconpatible. Then I spend some more time, trying to and successfully found a free software to clone, which wasnt anywhere near as friendly as Samsung Magician. Drive runs great, definitely worth upgrading a spinning hard drive.

Greater than one weekI am overall satisfied with the Samsung 860 QVO SSD 2tb 2.5 Inch SATA 3 Internal Solid State Drive with V-NAND Technology. After hooking it up and formatting the drive, I started adding some of my steam catalog onto my new drive!
